The aim of this study is to investigate factors affecting credit risks of the borrowers (both corporate and individual customers) of Vietnam bank for agriculture and rural development's branch at Can Tho city (lender), thereby proposing several solutions to improve the bank’s operational efficiency in the upcoming years. Simultaneous qualitative and quantitative research methods are applied and secondary data from 102 corporate customers and 2100 individual clients are collected directly from the financial report of the Can Tho branch of Vietnam bank for agriculture and rural development (Agribank) until the end of 2018. A binary logistics model is employed to identify the determinant factors of the credit risk of bank customers. Estimation results reveal that the credit risk of corporate customers is affected by the factors of sales growth, return on sales ratio, Debt to equity ratio, collateral-to-outstanding loan balance ratio, and customer's loan history which are consistent with those of previous studies, whereas the credit risk of individual customers is influenced by the factors of age, educational level, loan purpose, loan maturity, type of collateral, customer income, and customer loan history, which are confirmed by previous studies. The empirical findings of the article imply that the Can Tho branch of Agribank should take precautions in order to limit the credit risk of bank customers. In addition, several governance recommendations are given for bank’s manager to improve the operational efficiency of bank.

This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between self-efficacy and adversity quotient for students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Wedi Klaten. This type of research uses quantitative research methods with a correlational approach. Sampling methods using simple random sampling with data collection techniques in the form of a scale. The research subjects were 70 students from class XI of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Wedi, Klaten. The results obtained correlation analysis (rxy) of 0.708 with a p-value 0.000 that is lower than 0.05, meaning that there is a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and the student's adversity quotient. This can indicate that the higher the student's self-efficacy, higher the adversity quotient of the student, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Self efficacy and adversity quotient in students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Wedi, Klaten are classified as moderate. The coefficient of determination (R2) of the correlation is 0.724, meaning that self-efficacy contributes effectively to the adversity quotient by 72%, which means there are 28% of the other factors that affect students adversity quotient

This study compares attributes (authors, journals, populations, theories, methods) of information seeking behavior studies based in the United States and India, based on a search of published articles from 2011 to 2020 in relevant information science databases. The findings indicate major differences in information behavior research among the two countries. Information behavior research in the United States tends to focus more on health and medicine-related research populations, employ greater use of information behavior theories, and use a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods (as well as mixed methods). Information behavior research in India tends to focus more on general populations, use less theory, and rely heavily on quantitative research methods—particularly questionnaires (88% of studies). These findings suggest a healthy and intellectually-diverse information behavior research area in the United States and ample room for growth of the research area within India.

Sports organizations worldwide are discovering their power of influence over the fans and communities in which they operate, making more and more specialists and practitioners question these organizations’ social responsibility and sustainable development. In sports organizations, although research is increasing, social responsibility and sustainability are topics that require special attention because sports organizations can instill values in a large number of people in different fields. In our paper, we propose a conceptual framework that allows for integrated research into corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the sustainability of sports organizations for sustainable management and identifies their influences on the overall performance. Based on the conceptual framework, we developed a scale for measuring sports organizations’ social responsibility and sustainability, which we applied within sports organizations in Romania. The empirical study involved 280 respondents selected from the first two leagues of four sports areas (football, handball, volleyball, basketball). To support the conceptual framework, we used quantitative research methods in a transversal analysis: structural equation modeling and artificial neural network analysis. The conclusions of the empirical study in Romania show that social responsibility and sustainability are essential for the sustainable management of sports organizations and significantly influence the organization’s overall performance. Among the pillars of sustainability, the social and human impact performance, given the specifics of sports organizations (involving large masses of people). Furthermore, legal and philanthropic responsibilities significantly influence CSR and organizational performance among CSR responsibilities.

Context: All information that the public wants to know can be accessed through various platforms, one of which is social media. Especially in a pandemic like this, information related to Covid-19 will be needed. However, social media can also be a place for people to spread hoax news easily. Students as agents of change are expected to be role models for society in using the internet. Purpose: to find out where the perpetrators of spreading hoax news take their actions and also we want to know the various forms of hoax news that are spread. In addition, we also want to know what actions students take as agents of change in response to the hoax news they encounter. Questions: We formulated four questions in this research, namely, what media are often found in hoax news by students? In what forms are hoax news often encountered by students? What is the content of hoax news that students usually encounter? How are students as a student? How do agents of change respond to the hoax news they encounter? Methods: We used quantitative research methods in the form of online surveys with Google Forms to present data and followed by qualitative methods in the form of interviews with respondents. We combine the studies that have been done for further analysis. Results: our research shows that students often receive hoax news about Covid-19. They found various forms and contents of hoax news. In addition, each student has their own way of responding to the hoax news they get. Limitations: The limitation of our research is the range of respondents which only includes students who live in Surabaya. Recommendation: our next research is to expand the reach of respondents and look for respondents who have been spreading hoax news to find out the motives they use.

AbstractThis research aims to explore the gender equality or lack thereof in the Urdu textbooks taught in Punjab, Pakistan.  Gender bias in textbooks is an important but almost invisible and overlooked problem.  Five Urdu textbooks taught in primary government schools in Punjab were selected for critical discourse analysis.  Both qualitative as well quantitative research methods were adopted.  The number of female and male characters, portrayal of domestic and professional roles by both genders, and cosmetic bias was taken into account.  In all five books analyzed, 28% characters were women whereas remaining were male characters.  Female characters were mostly found in domestic situations with insignificant roles in the stories who did not have a name or an identity except being mothers.    The text was highly biased towards the male characters associating valor and strength with men only.  Since textbooks play a crucial role in the development of the children, it is important to remove the concealed gender bias in textbooks and acknowledge the changing roles of women in the Pakistani society in order to create a society that treats men and women equally.
