"The classroom is now a vital struggle for survival With the immensely persuasive 'outside world' created by new informational medic. Education must shift from instruction, from imposing of stencils, to discovery — to probing and exploration and to the recognition of the language Of fortns.•- Herbed Marshall McLuhan. Realizing the tremendous responsibility Of higher educctic•n towards the learner, the teacher creates a conducive climate to learning. The environment nurtures the learning behavior in a more permanent way When it is learner centered. Each subiect has its intrinsic value and no one can.say we do not use basic sciences in Our day to day living. Biology teaches us many lessons in physiology, biochemistry, heredity ond evolution, which need to be remembered beyond the classroom and the examination hall.

Abstract: Speaking is defined as a reflection of the students’ ability to communicate in English. Compared to the other language skills, speaking is considered to be more difficult because it occurs in real time, and when we speak we cannot edit and revise what we want to say, as we can do in writing. Speaking skill was considered as a difficult skill to be maintained; therefore, an extensive practice is required to perform. However, students tend to be silent in the classroom since they lack of self-confidence. Students need more practice, so that they could learn to express their feeling, thought, idea, emotion and intention, whereas, teachers should create a good situation in teaching learning process in the classroom. Gallery walk is one of the most learner centered activities which provides good situation in teaching learning process. It is a presentation method in which individual learners or groups displayed their products, and they walked around the room viewing others’ work. The purpose of this paper is to describe gallery walk technique to teach speaking in Senior High School. This technique seems to be suitable to provide fresh atmosphere in teaching English especially in Speaking.

As we all know that the need to access information continues to grow exponentially and institutions cannot remain as mere venues for the transmission of a prescribed set of syllabus from teacher to student over a fixed period of time, rather they must promote the acquisition of knowledge and skills as a continuous process throughout life span. It has been rightly said by a futurist, „The illiterate of the 21st century ―Will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn & relearn‟. Hence, the traditional lock-step approach to language teaching is rapidly becoming inadequate in modem teaching-learning process (Lee: 1965). It‟s a recent mandatory call that once unidirectional teaching methodology must be transformed to two way learning process and learner centered as well. This is possible only with interactive classes. But even today ESL learners‟ reluctance to speak English in the classroom is a problem found in almost every language learning environment. Many students are afraid to communicate in English for fear of committing mistakes and in turn getting laughed at by their peers.

The foundation of education is the curriculum which is used in the teaching/learning process. People have varying views in the field of curriculum. The question of what and how to teach has been around as long as education. This paper takes a closer look at how a sample of university students studying English in South Korea feel about the curriculum they are presented. The goal was to ascertain the expectations of the students when it came to the curriculum they were presented with in class. Another aim was to determine whether they preferred a subject-centered or a learner-centered curriculum design method. The final objective was to see the benefits of their suggestions with regards to the materials and methods of presentation used in class. After reviewing the responses, a clear theme came to light among both English major students and the students of other majors taking their required course. That theme is a more learner-centered classroom. The research led to looking at curriculum-transmitting, curriculum-developing, and curriculum-making at the classroom level. Research suggests that aligning the class to the expectations of the students with regard to curriculum benefits the learning experience. This paper shows that students prefer that curriculum be based on a learner-centered design at the classroom level.

The system of relationships and emotions that develop in the teaching-learning process define the complexity of teachers' education and pose the challenge of bringing out the emotional and affective culture that guides school life. Several studies on teaching practices highlight the tendency to refer to technical aspectsas a key dimension of professionalism, rather than on relational and emotional dimensions that can promote the relationship with student. The creative and unprecedented reconfiguration of professional practice is configured as the outcome of a reflexive process of subjective construction and de-construction of the profession and its development. The paper proposes a reflective training experience, which involved 76 teachers, focused on emotional and relational dimensions on teaching and based on the use of the narrative-autobiographical instruments (diary, narrative, metaphor). The results achieved in the monitoring phase show that the training offered an opportunity to reflect on oneself and one's personal and professional experience, starting from the use of alternative perspectives and interpretations than those that are already in use

Over the past few decades, the adoption of an inclusive approach to education has stimulated a reflection on the educational value of body and movement within teaching-learning process in order to break down all barriers to learning and promote the full participation of young people to school activities. Indeed, body and movement represent an important didactic "medium" for developing individualized and personalized learning paths that take into account the specific needs and characteristics of students thus contributing to their global and harmonious development.

This article highlights attitudinal analysis which can be used to predict the students’ accomplishment in their study. Analyzing the learners’ attitudes can possibly improve the validity of evaluation which is generally conducted by both lecturers and administrators either during the recruitment or in the teaching/learning process. Besides, this attempt can also be used to predict the students’ potential accomplishment when learning in IPDN. Attitude, which is commonly defined as a behavioral tendency to act in certain patterns, is very important to be analyzed in order to allow the lecturers to have more objective description of the students’ behavior and their potential accomplishment. If this thoroughly applied, attitudinal analysis will not only allow the lecturers and other related staffs to evaluate the good quality candidates, but also allow them to assess the students’ potential success. In line with the continuously increasing demand of the society toward the officials who have more integrity, analyzing attitudes can help select those having good quality, more integrity, and being more prepared in serving the society.
