Abstract: Speaking is defined as a reflection of the students’ ability to communicate in English. Compared to the other language skills, speaking is considered to be more difficult because it occurs in real time, and when we speak we cannot edit and revise what we want to say, as we can do in writing. Speaking skill was considered as a difficult skill to be maintained; therefore, an extensive practice is required to perform. However, students tend to be silent in the classroom since they lack of self-confidence. Students need more practice, so that they could learn to express their feeling, thought, idea, emotion and intention, whereas, teachers should create a good situation in teaching learning process in the classroom. Gallery walk is one of the most learner centered activities which provides good situation in teaching learning process. It is a presentation method in which individual learners or groups displayed their products, and they walked around the room viewing others’ work. The purpose of this paper is to describe gallery walk technique to teach speaking in Senior High School. This technique seems to be suitable to provide fresh atmosphere in teaching English especially in Speaking.

Communicating effectively and appropriately in a SL implies mastering the four language skills, i.e. written comprehension and expression and oral comprehension and expression. However, not all develop equally during the teaching-learning process in formal contexts. The development of oral expression in FFL is often a challenge for teachers and students due to conditions such as lack of motivation and feelings of inhibition of the students, lack of security or self-confidence. To these are added others such as lack of time, large groups of students or methodological and evaluative gaps that contribute significantly to hinder the practice of this competence in the classroom. This paper presents a teaching project implemented in the FFL classroom where Francophonie, the use of ICT and collaborative learning are key to developing the oral expression of the learner contributing to reinforcing their personal skills.

The article touches upon the problems of teaching English as a third foreign language in higher educational institutions of the Republic of Armenia. The students’ mother tongue, in this case, is Armenian. Russian is the first foreign language and French is the second one. Considering the fact that the students’ 2nd (French) and 3rd (English) foreign languages have significant similarities that can cause both positive transfer and negative interference, the teaching/learning process of English should be organized by paying special attention to the similarities and taking into account certain peculiarities. Accordingly, the use of correctly selected exercises can help in organizing the teaching/learning process more quickly and effectively. The author also introduces some “dangerous” language phenomena that may bring about undesirable interference in learning English after French. In addition, a number of exercise samples are provided that might be used to develop the students’ lexical, grammatical and phonological competences in teaching/learning English as a third foreign language.

This article discusses how to make students of Science Education in first year feel interesting in English lesson, understanding the text well and can communicate English fluency. It has been suggested that Authentic Material and Automaticity Theory not only creates a friendly and fun condition in teaching reading but helps students to study comprehensibly so they are able to understand the text, structure, vocabulary easily, read fluently and they also can communicate in English. The authentic material can make the teaching learning process fun and eliminate boring because the topics and materials can be found in internet so it will be more visually and  interactive . Automaticity theory can solve the problem of students who must memorize words that make them feel boring and forget the words soon. The other benefit is the students can exposure the real language being used in a real context and stimulate studens’idea, encouarage them to relate themselves with real-life experiencesThese strategies can make the students understand easily and enjoy the teaching learning process. The traditional methods of language teaching have always had their roots in the grammar-translation method, used in our educational system for more than 500 years. However, the constant search for updating and the desire to improve the language skills of students has led to a succession of different methods and proposals in a few years with the intention of improving the existing ones. The literature on this subject confirms that there is no perfect approach, but it also shows that the communicative one and the interdisciplinarity in the teaching-learning process of second languages brings good results. The author proposes a holistic interdisciplinary activity for the bilingual early childhood classroom, based on the communicative method. Thus, this chapter presents the elaboration of a musical tale, accompanied by a subsequent audiovisual recording, which will help students to learn a second language in real natural contexts.
