The article analyzes the modern accounting practice of reflecting goodwill in the system of accounting accounts. As a scientific approach to solving this problem, the author uses an interdisciplinary approach, within which various aspects are used as a toolkit for solving the indicated problem. Based on the results of research on the theory and practice of corporate management, the author comes to the conclusion that the interpretation of the economic nature of goodwill is ambiguous, and, as a consequence, of its incorrect accounting. The identification and recognition of goodwill in the accounting (financial) statements as an asset is questioned.

Subject. The article provides a rationale for reporting obligations and liabilities in accounting records as economic phenomena of entity's business operations and items of financial reporting. Objectives. We explain how the substance of obligations and liabilities is defined in accounting, implying that the economic phenomena should be recognized in financial statements more completely. The study is to unveil the substance of obligations and liabilities so as to harmonize the regulatory and positive economy in the accounting process. We determine their purpose as part of accounts when they are aggregated into the balance sheet. Methods. We determined promising lines of the accounting theory and practice by analyzing the institutional economics, Conceptual Framework for the Financial Reporting, Integrated Reporting Concept that amplified the scope of accounting, since they recognize economic phenomena of business operations, such as obligations and liabilities. Results. Contractual obligations should be considered as a consequence of obligations that an entity has due to part events. The substance of the contractual obligations depend on the economic resource to be transferred in the future. Contractual obligations should be entered into accounting records and measured as of the signing date of the contract. The economic substance of the contractual obligations significantly differs from the accounting view of accounts receivable and payable. Conclusions and Relevance. We believe it is necessary and possible to develop the accounting practice by introducing new economic phenomena, such as obligations and liabilities. They help change the retrospective format of the information as new items get added.

The article is devoted to the use of interdisciplinarity as an innovative approach in the educational process of art institutions of higher education on the example of studying the discipline «Evolution of artistic styles in art» included in educational master's programs. This discipline is based on the theory and practice of professional development of a teacher-musician, who provides the Master of Arts education process, shapes their professional development necessary for their future musical and pedagogical creativity, skills, and pedagogical culture. The content of the discipline consists of the introduction of artistic styles’ scientific and theoretical fundamentals to the future specialists. The objectives of the course are 1) the theoretical generalization of the historical experience of the evolution of artistic styles, 2) acquaintance with the best examples of artistic culture, representing different styles and directions, 3) mastering complex problems of stylistic analysis. The aim of the course is the establishment of a strategy for a professional growth as part of the vocational training of masters in the following educational areas «Secondary education. Musical Art» and «Musical Art»; mastering the scientific and theoretical foundations of the artistic styles’ analysis as a formative student course of the music and pedagogical education in higher education. The interdisciplinary approach can be implemented in two main formats. A. Kolot believes that with the help of the first format he builds bridges between different sciences, brings them together on an informal basis without violating their individuality and uniqueness. In this format, the discipline «Evolution of artistic styles in art» «builds bridges» with such disciplines as: philosophy, history, foreign languages, general psychology, culturology, sociology, art culture, aesthetics. In the second format, interdisciplinarity is presented as a real tool for unifying sciences, and the emergence of integrative products. In this format the course «Evolution of Artistic Styles in Art» involves an organic combination of such disciplines as history and theory of music, theater, ballet, art history, philosophy, art culture and literature, analysis of musical form, choral class, music psychology, and others. Therefore, we propose to define the student course «Evolution of artistic styles in art» as a complex, interdisciplinary field of knowledge and consider the application of an interdisciplinary approach in the practice of a teacher of artistic institutions.

The main objective of this study is to determine the value measurement used by zakat collection centres, particularly Pusat Zakat Selangor (PZS), in measuring business zakat among companies owned by Muslims in Selangor territory. The study found that PZS assessed zakat from companies financial statements based on historical cost, and not current value as hypothesised by previous researchers. The continuous use of historical cost may lead to negative wealth transfer for zakat beneficiaries particularly in time of rising prices. Even though certain adjustments are made to the assessment, however the purpose of such adjustment is merely to reflect the Islamic philosophy of the implementation of halal and haram as well as different views of Islamic Accounting and Conventional Accounting in recognising income and expenses.

STEM education is a strategy based on four disciplines (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), integrated in an innovative interdisciplinary approach. Although, the concept of STEM education is more relevant today, the discussion of a teaching model with special attention in the four subjects aforementioned began in the early 2000s. Taking into account this context, the strategy presented in this paper has been disseminated in Bolivia’s main universities for the last five years. A country that has not yet managed to associate basic disciplines such as calculus, matrix algebra, and/or differential equations to solve problems of an applicative nature, that is, to establish the link between theory and practice. To establish the connection, it is necessary to deduce differential equations associated with practical problems; solve these equations with numerical methods, appeal to the simulation concept to later introduce programming languages like Python/VPython to build virtual laboratories. The classical problem addressed for this purpose is the satellite of two degrees of freedom.

Financial reporting quality is one the most interesting topics which draw a great deal of attention to researchers and scientists in the field of accounting (Céline Michailesco, 2010). In the review of research on financial information from 1980 to 2016, Pham (2016) found that characteristics of useful financial information are relatively diverse with as many as 15 attributes being identified. In addition, he also found that all research in any period has employed the characteristics published by professional associations such as American Institute of Accountants, Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB as theoretical basis. Research on the quality of financial information is diverse yet have many things in common, above all is the Relevance characteristic which considered to be the basic qualitative component of the quality of financial information in financial statements. Conceptual Framework officially issued by FASB & IASB in 2010 (FASB & IASB 2010) has further confirmed Relevance is the basic quality component of financial information. Compared with previous announcements, there has been a considerable change in the criteria and attributes used to evaluate the appropriateness of Relevance characteristic of financial information in financial statements. This study aims at confirming the importance of the Relevance component in evaluating the quality of financial information, clarifyingg the characteristics of Relevance measurement before and after Conceptual Framework 2010 and constructing relevant scales as well as measuring the qualitative characteristic of Relevance among enterprises in Vietnam.

he article presents an interdisciplinary view of research methods in the theory of education. The development of issues in the theory of education presupposes a clear organization of research activities, in which a key role is played by rethinking and adequate using of research methods from related sciences (psychology, sociology, physiology, cultural studies, and others). Modern theory and practice of education are changing as a result of the integration of knowledge of related humanities. More and more complex and complex problems arise. All in all it necessitates rethinking the methodology of the theory of education. Currently, it is necessary to conduct research activities at the intersection of sciences, which improves the quality of research and allows more holistic use of the results obtained in practice. The article reveals significant principles that determine the methodology of the modern theory of upbringing - the principle of humanitarianism and social expediency of the upbringing process, the principle of the unity of the theory and practice of upbringing, the principle of development, the principle of consistency and determination. Authors highlight the significant interdisciplinary scientific approaches that are relevant to substantiate research methods in the modern theory of education. The basis for the selection of methods was grounded by such disciplines that allow us to consider various aspects of the educational activities of a teacher, enrich the researcher with scientific information about a person and the mechanisms of his personal dynamics (existential philosophy), about the creation of a flexible, open dialogue space in which zones of self-organization of children are provided (synergetics), on the art of deciphering verbal and non-verbal signs of a child (semiotics), on the awareness of the child's path as reaching the heights through difficulties and overcoming (acmeology), on understanding the child through comprehending the meanings of children's behavior (hermeneutics), on the interpretation of the personality as an integral open multilevel developing system capable of withstanding external influences (humanistic psychology). In conclusion, the authors note the importance of a new pedagogical direction - semantic pedagogy, which can be considered as the basis for the integration of humanitarian knowledge, which is essential for modern theory.
