In the Education context, the focus of Science, Technology and Society (STS) allows researchers with social, political and environmental nature themes, among others, which involve the active participation in the human being in face of society problems, in the sense of reflect, criticize and act. Therefore, the aim of this work was to develop conceptual and atheist learning based on the urban garbage theme in an intervention project with activities involving sustainability, reuse, consumerism and responsibilities. The research had a qualitative nature based on action research principles, developed by the pedagogy of projects, with the participation of thirteen (13) high school first year students from a public institution located in the city of Manaus-AM, the students were all volunteers. Data collection occurred through questionnaires, textual production, discussions and oral exposure and then they were qualitatively analyzed in an exploratory way. The results revealed that the students presented signs of conceptual understanding of the theme related terms, such as: garbage, solid waste, recycling and reuse, then sought to draw associations with chemical concepts and to propose environmental issues solutions using sustainability and social responsibilities. The students showed sensitivity regarding the theme and were willing to change their attitudes towards the problem.

STEM education is a strategy based on four disciplines (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), integrated in an innovative interdisciplinary approach. Although, the concept of STEM education is more relevant today, the discussion of a teaching model with special attention in the four subjects aforementioned began in the early 2000s. Taking into account this context, the strategy presented in this paper has been disseminated in Bolivia’s main universities for the last five years. A country that has not yet managed to associate basic disciplines such as calculus, matrix algebra, and/or differential equations to solve problems of an applicative nature, that is, to establish the link between theory and practice. To establish the connection, it is necessary to deduce differential equations associated with practical problems; solve these equations with numerical methods, appeal to the simulation concept to later introduce programming languages like Python/VPython to build virtual laboratories. The classical problem addressed for this purpose is the satellite of two degrees of freedom.

This paper presents a Systematic Literature Review (RSL) on the use of Gamification and Augmented Reality applied in Education. RSL enabled mapping and knowledge of the current state of related studies. Thirty articles related to the state of the art were analyzed. From the analysis, it was found that there is no specific learning assessment methodology when applying the Augmented Reality and Gamification tools. An analysis of the results was made to answer the research questions. The study showed that lack of programming knowledge is also a factor that hinders the advancement of research since the researcher must know how to develop the application or have in his team someone who has the competence to do so. Finally, we present the comparatives and analyzes of the studies to obtain answers based on the research questions developed.

The article discusses the so-called “digital divide”, related to inequality in ownership, use and benefits extracted from technological resources due to the social stratification that imposes economic, political, social and cultural cleavages. Based on studies of the sociology of technique and Bourdieusian concepts of socialization, technological capital and informational habitus, the objective is to analyze the ownership and use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) from the perspective of generation and occupation. Conducting a cross-sectional study, with the application of questionnaires to a sample of 324 students, teachers and technical-administrative servants (active and retired) at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) revealed that generation and occupational status have an effect on tenure, forms/frequencies of use and in the self-perception of technological capabilities, also being associated with factors such as gender, education and income. The results showed that a large number of students, active and retired teachers and active technical-administrative servants carry out multiple online activities, declare long use of ICTs and a more favorable perception of digital skills. Meanwhile, retired technical-administrative servants registered the lowest percentages in online practices, the lowest frequencies of use and a less favorable perception of their skills. Other statistically significant differences were also observed.

This is a qualitative research, which seeks to investigate what are the bibliographic references that discuss the themes: school and democracy in Technological Professional Education (EPT). This work presents the experience of using the Iramuteq software to analyze the bibliographic references in the context of an ongoing research in the Master in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), from the Federal Catarinense Institute for Blumenau - SC. The Web of Science and Scopus data platforms were consulted and 157 articles related to the topic were selected. The abstracts of the articles were processed and analyzed using the Iramuteq software. The research showed that the Iramuteq software is an important support tool for the analysis of texts in qualitative research and is available for free. The results are interesting and with statistical significance, even in the face of a large volume of references. The theme is expanding (number of articles / year), however, with the help of the software it was found that this scientific production does not deal with EPT. The study contributed to the knowledge of new methodological instruments, in addition to pointing out new perspectives to deepen the bibliographic and documentary research related to the research object that will be useful in the development of future works.

The general objective of this article is to present the importance of robotics as well as the development of robots for use by elementary and middle students. In addition to discussing pedagogical mediation in this context. The reason for the development of this work centers on the need for studies on Robotics in the educational environment and its networks of relations with a focus on learning of students and on the need for a change in the culture of the school. The methodology of this work is based on the cartographic method of research and intervention that, instead of seeking a result or conclusion, seeks to follow the process, seeking to establish relationships. Thus, we began mapping the pedagogical mediation between the teachers and students of the municipal schools of Viamão, EMEF Residencial Figueira and EMEF Sergeant Manoel Raymundo Soares. In order to understand the pedagogical mediation of the inventive robot robotics activities for the competitions of the II Municipal Robotics Exhibition of the Viamão Municipality - Rio Grande do Sul. From the results, we can highlight that the students seek to improve their knowledge in related areas, such as in physics, mathematics, electronics, programming and mechanics. Assuming an inventive and active stance, it also enables students to build not only concepts, skills, but also values and ideals in order to contribute to society. Making them autonomous, independent and responsible citizens.

The immersion of students in the school environment impacted by digital technologies, available on mobile devices, presents a significant increase due to the ease of communication and the possibility to remain informed and connected. The objective is to design as an investigative resource the students' behavior and understanding of State Law no. 18.118 / 2014 with a diagnosis that explores the usability of mobile devices in the school environment. The subjects studied are students of two classes of the third year of high school morning of a state public school in Curitiba PR. When considering educational practices, this article discusses the inhibitory nature of the usability of mobile devices in the school environment set forth in this law. The epistemological foundation will be Vygotsky's theory of mediation (2000; 2004). The diagnosis will be through the methodology classified as the objectives in an exploratory-descriptive way with qualitative-quantitative nature seen as complementary. The choice of the object of study benefits from the technique of data collection through the questionnaire in Google with online forms, by observation and bibliographic research. It will be classified as data analysis and content analysis technique with descriptive statistics to analyze the connection of students with the use of mobile devices integrated in the school environment and with learning beyond school walls. The results indicated the involvement of the students, and, in this context, it is indicated that the subjects investigated are understood by the students and practiced by them, dynamizing the school routine of the high school. The usability of mobile devices in the construction of knowledge requires a more in-depth discussion about their effectiveness, as well as making compatible the possibilities of these technologies that become instruments in pedagogical and didactic application.
