Karaveera (Cerebra thevetia Linn.) is reported under Upavisha Dravya in classical ayurvedic pharmacopeias. It is observed that Shodhana (purification procedures) of the mool should be carried out before its internal administration. There are different Shodhana methods mentioned in Ayurveda. In this study Godugdha was used as media. The impact of Shodhana was evaluated by physico analytical study. It clearly proves physico analytical changes during Shodhana. Ashuddha Karaveera was taken on white clean cloth and they dumped in Pottali with Godugdha. Pottali was tied to middle of wooden rod dipped in Godugdha in stainless steel vessel and mild heat given to pottali in Dolayantra. Shuddha Karaveera was obtained and then washed with leuk warm water and dried. Ashuddha Karaveera contains toxin in it which was removed after Shodhana process. So that foreign matter, loss on drying was less in Shuddha Karaveera and due to Shodhan process with Godugdha total ash, acid insoluble ash was more than that of Ashuddha Karaveera.

In the current study a flattening contact model, combined with a permanent deformation expression, has been analyzed for the oblique impact case. The model has been simulated for different initial conditions using MATLAB. The initial impact velocity used for the simulations ranges from 0.5 to 3 m/s. The results are compared theoretically for four different impact angles including 20, 45, 70, and 90 degrees. The contact force, the linear and the angular motion, the permanent deformation, and the coefficient of restitution have been analyzed. It is assumed that sliding occurs throughout the impact.

This research paper discusses the reciprocal relationship of Pakistan and United States. Pakistan and United States are engaged in transactional relationship for gaining the credibility of through securing their national interest which bought distractive approaches in bilateral relationship. Historically, Pakistan-United States have been supporting each other against the terrorism as had strong diplomatic alignment in countering terrorism, extremism and fundamentalism. The distrust prevailed and occupied which dismantle the international move to dismantle the terror. The uncertainty of relationship causes a cataclysmic events which provides distrust as well as dismantle the international coalition for the peace establishment. This paper includes the diplomatic ties between Pakistan and United States specially post 9/11. The diplomatic successful alignment for the international peace brought effective orientation thereafter the impact factors of diverse misunderstanding which were mismanaged diplomatically as cases of Raymond Davis, Salala Check post, nuclear proliferation, Osama Bin Laden, Drone Attacks, and Memogate. Their diplopic move is essential to be revamped for the social, economic and political factors which sources the regional peace of South and Central Asia.

The imminent implementation of Goods & Services Tax (GST) is expected to result in greater transparency, an improved flow of credit, and reduced trade barriers from a tax perspective. The timely release and revision of the draft GST model law, GST rules, and documentation templates reflect the government’s commitment and keenness to implement the GST law in India in 2017. It is also widely agreed that GST will usher in a series of changes to how businesses will operate and the Retail Industry will be no exception. This thought piece highlights some of the key areas impacted and a number of changes that the industry will need to imbibe over the coming months to ensure that GST is effectively implemented.

There is increasing evidence that the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic has been influenced by variations in air temperature and humidity. However, the impact that these environmental parameters have on survival of the SARS-CoV-2 virus has not been fully characterised. Therefore, an analytical study was undertaken using published data to develop a psychrometric model to assess the biological decay rate of the virus in aerosols. This revealed that it is possible to describe with reasonable accuracy (R2 = 0.718, p < 0.001) the biological decay constant for the SARS-CoV-2 virus using a regression model with enthalpy, vapour pressure and specific volume as predictors. Applying this to historical meteorological data from London, Paris and Milan over the pandemic period, produced results which indicate that the average half-life of the virus in aerosols outdoors was in the region 13–22 times longer in March 2020, when the outbreak was accelerating, than it was in August 2020 when epidemic in Europe was at its nadir. However, indoors, this variation is likely to be much less. As such, this suggests that changes in virus survivability due the variations in the psychrometric qualities of the air might influence the transmission of SARS-CoV-2.

Background. In the hospital of La Princesa, the “Sepsis Code” (CSP) began in 2015, as a multidisciplinary group that provides health personnel with clinical, analytical and organizational tools, with the aim of the detection and early treatment of patients with sepsis. The objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of CSP implantation on mortality and to determine the variables associated with an increase in it. Material and methods. A retrospective analytical study of patients with CSP alert activation from 2015 to 2018 was conducted. Clinical-epidemiological variables, analytical parameters, and severity factors such as admission to critical care units (UCC) and the need for amines were collected. Statistical significance was established at p < 0.05. Results. We included 1,121 patients. The length of stay was 16 days and 32% required admission to UCC. Mortality showed a statistically significant linear downward trend from 24% in 2015 to 15% in 2018. The predictive mortality variables with statistically significant association were lactate > 2 mmol/L, creatinine > 1.6 mg/dL and the need for amines. Conclusions. The implementation of Sepsis Code decreases the mortality of patients with sepsis and septic shock. The presence of a lactate > 2 mmol/L, creatinine > 1.6 mg/dL and/or the need to administer amines in the first 24 hours, are associated with an increase in mortality in the patient with sepsis.
