There has been increasing interest in coastal tourism, sparking a debate on the responsible environmental behavior of travelers visiting sustainable destinations. To mitigate this issue, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and environmental activists are trying to develop strategic approaches (i.e., by using digital technologies) to enhance the sustainable behavior of travelers. Environmental responsiveness and its impact on sustainable destinations is gaining attention by companies, scholars, and institutions. However, the relevant literature has not addressed social media user-generated content regarding sustainable destinations. Sharing stakeholder knowledge, activities, and experience on social media could accomplish this goal. Hence, this paper aims to explore travelers′ responsible environmental behavior towards coastal tourism within the social media user-generated content paradigm. To measure the effect of user-generated content (UGC), i.e., cognitive triggers and affective triggers, on the responsible environmental behavior of travelers, a survey questionnaire was used to collect data (n = 506) from the world’s longest sandy sea beach, Cox’s Bazar, located in the Southern part of Bangladesh. The data were examined by structural equation modeling (SEM). The results revealed that cognitive and affective triggers of user-generated content influence travelers’ environmental concerns and attitudes, making a significant contribution to shaping responsible environmental behavior. Additionally, the findings show that environmental concerns and attitudes play a significant role in producing commitment towards a sustainable coastal tourism practice. This study contributes to the effectiveness of user-generated content for persuasive interactions with destination marketing organizations to develop sustainable tourism practices.

Responsible environmental behavior is assumed to be significantly affected bay one’s knowledge of the environment, the local wisdom, locus of control motivation farming. The study reported here aimed to examine how the four independent variables actually affected the level of farmers’ responsible behavior towards environment. The causal and multidimensional social study was conducted in the Soppeng Regency of South Sulawesi from July 2009 to October 2009, trough a survey to the paddy farmers in the Liliriaja District. A sample of 120 farmers was made up 30 randomly selected farmers from each of the four purposefully selected sub districts in Liliriaja: Appanang, Galung, Rompegading and Jampu. The data of each variable were collected separately with a questionnaire. A path technique, which was preceded by normality and variance homogeneity tests, was employed to analyze the data descriptively and inferentially. The results proved that the farmers’ farming motivation and their responsible environmental behavior, respectively, was directly affected by their knowledge of the environment, the local wisdom, and the locus of control. The three independent variables also indirectly affected the farmers’ responsible environmental behavior through their motivation in farming. These findings suggest that the variables of environmental knowledge, local wisdom, locus of control and the farmers’ motivation in farming are important determinants of their responsible environmental behavior. Variation in the farmers’ responsible environmental behavior may therefore be minimized by improved knowledge of the environment, local wisdom, locus of control and farming motivation.

The environmental responsibility behavior that students have is the result of interactions between various factors, is the paradigm and sensitivity of students to the environment. Students can have environmental responsibility behavior if the students' paradigm and sensitivity to the environment are good. The environmental responsibility behavior that students have is the result of interactions between various factors, is the paradigm and sensitivity of students to the environment. Students can have environmental responsibility behavior if the students' paradigm and sensitivity to the environment are good. The effect of paradigms and environmental sensitivity has an important role in raising student responsibility behavior towards the environment. This study aims to investigate the effect of New Environmental Paradigm and Environmental Sensitivity of the responsible environmental behavior. Research conducted at SMAN 100 Jakarta on the Semester I of 2018/2019 school year. The method used is survey with quantitative-causal approach and path analysis. The sample were 108 students from Mathematic and Science first grade. Based on the hypothesis test, the value of the path coefficient of X1 to X2 is 0,304, X2 to X3 at 0,309, and value of the path coefficient of X1 to X3 through X2 is 0,093. Based on these results, it is conclude that there is the The Effect of New Environmental Paradigm (NEP)  and Environmental Sensitivity (ES) toward Responsible Environmental Behavior (REB) on students of SMAN 100 Jakarta.

Objective of this study is to obtain information about the interrelationship between environmental awareness and the responsible environmental behavior of high school students. Research conducted toward students of the Masjid Terminal  High School (SMA) at Depok City in December 2019 to July 2020 with samples of 111 respondents by proportional random sampling technique. A mix-method was employed in this study, which is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods as sequential explanatory. Collection of quantitative data was conducted using a questionnaire with rating scale for X and Y variables. The validity test used Pearson's product moment and the reliability test used alpha Cronbach. The analysis of quantitative data with a prerequisite test in the form of a normality test employed the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and a homogeneity test using a Levine statistic. Testing the data hypothesis was using the correlation test with Pearson product moment using SPSS 26. Qualitative research data was obtained from the interviews, and the data was analyzed by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between environmental awareness and responsible environmental behavior with the regression equation Ŷ = 99.939 + 0.161x with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.195 and r2 of 3.80%. The contribution of r2 means that 3.80% of responsible environmental behavior is influenced by environmental awareness, while 96.20% is influenced by other factors. Based on above results, can be conclude that there are positive correlation between environmental awareness and responsible environmental behavior which influenced by the factors of family background, habits, information, as well as social environment.
