As with many occupations, computers and technology have become vital parts of working life. With hotel management, computers can be used to record, report and analyze the effectiveness of internal operations such as reservations, registration, guest history, guest accounting audit, and back-office accounting, thereby bringing a variety of benefits including ample amount of memory, advanced communication, advanced functioning among others. In view of these, this study design and develop an online-based hotel information system for University of Benin Guest House, Benin City, Edo State. The system is met to automate data entry methods; ensure efficient and reliable communication within the Guest House and enable fast and easy retrieval of guest records and data for fast reference activities. The Unified Modelling Language (UML) was used to model the system architecture and design, while the software was developed using PHP and MySQL. Also provided in this report is a description of the software design and implementation requirements.

Abstract. Nowadays, hotel industry become a business that very interested for many people that can manage the hotel asset very well, in order to giving faster and satisfy services. Every process in Mahkota hotel still manage manually, and this condition require more time and effort. Beside that also cause some human error. To overcome this problem, Mahkota hotel needs management information system that can control information asset management in a hotel, so it can minimalize human error. Beside that, management information system can make easier and faster the process of displaying information become more effective and efficient. Mahkota hotel information system is built by using Microsoft Visual Basic  as programming language and database SQL server. Information system has some feature, such as to manage activity in  front office and back office. It hoped can increase and improve the hotel management, so it can giving the best services.Keywords: information system, management, hotelAbstrak. Dunia bisnis dibidang perhotelan memang cukup menjanjikan bagi orang-orang yang mampu mengelola hotel tersebut dengan baik. Begitu pula yang terjadi pada hotel Mahkota, dimana semua proses pengelolaan masih ditangani secara manual yang menyita banyak waktu dan tenaga serta memungkinkan terjadinya banyak kesalahan. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, diperlukan sistem informasi manajemen yang mampu mengontrol pengelolaan aset informasi yang terjadi di hotel, sehingga dapat meminimalkan kesalahan akibat penanganan yang masih manual. Sistem informasi hotel Mahkota yang dibuat menggunakan Microsoft Visual Basic sebagai bahasa pemrograman serta menggunakan database SQL server sebagai penampung data. Sistem informasi ini memiliki beberapa fitur yang dapat memudahkan aktifitas pengelolaan informasi di hotel Mahkota, antara lain aktifitas front office dan back office. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan mampu meningkatkan manajemen yang baik, sehingga tercipta hotel dengan pelayanan yang lebih baik.Kata Kunci: Sistem informasi, manajemen, perhotelan.

A drug information system (DARIS) has been created for handling reports on suspected drug reactions. The system is suitable for being run on desktop computers with a minimum of hardware requirements: 187 K read/write memory, flexible or hard disc drive and a thermal printer. The data base (DRUG) uses the QUERY and IMAGE programming capabilities for data entry and search. The data base to statistics link program (DBSTAT) enables data transfer from the data base into a file for statistical analysis and signalling suspected adverse drug reactions.The operational, medical and statistical aspects of the general population voluntary adverse drug reaction monitoring programme—recently initiated in the State of Kuwait—are described.

AbstrakSebuah Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) yang ada dalam masyarakat merupakan   sebuah usaha yang dirintis oleh masyarakat  dengan beberapa produk maupun usaha yang berbeda-beda. Setiap usaha tersebut memiliki manajemen keuangan yang masih dilakukan secara manual, yaitu pembukuan dan perekapan data yang masih menggunakan buku dengan cara mengumpulkan dan mengelompokkan beberapa nota. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut maka dibuatlah analisa dan perancangan sistem informasi akuntansi yang dapat digunakan oleh para pemilik UKM dalam mengelola keuangan serta dapat mengontrol manajemen dalam UKM tersebut.  Karena proses yang manual tersebut, banyak pemilik UKM yang kebingungan dalam mengelola keuangannya, dan tidak dapat mengetahui modal awal ketika mendirikan usaha sampai dengan usaha UKM yang semakin pesat. Oleh karena itu, dibuatlah sebuah analisa dan perancangan sistem informasi  akuntansi yang dapat digunakan oleh banyak pemilik UKM dalam mengelola keuangannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempermudah para pemilik UKM dalam mengelola keuangannya serta dapat mengatur pengelolaan manajemen yang teratur dalam UKM tersebut. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah dengan metode ISLC (Information System Life Cycle) yang nantinya dalam tahapan tersebut juga dilakukan implementasi ke beberapa UKM. Human Resource Information System (HRIS) modul Time Management merupakan suatu sistem aplikasi perangkat lunak berbasis website yang dapat membantu dalam proses administrasi perusahan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan sistem aplikasi ini berdasarkan sistem yang sedang berjalan saat ini dan dengan menggunakan pendekatan terstruktur yaitu database, dan data Unified Modelling Language (UML). Sistem HRIS modul Time Management ini diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman framework CodeIgniter. Framework CodeIgniter merupakan suatu framework berbasis PHP dengan Model, View, dan Controller. Hasil dari analisis sistem ini untuk digunakan di UPTD. Puskesmas Gunung Sembung yang masih belum memiliki sistem informasi pengajuan cuti, ijin dan lembur karena saat ini semua hal tersebut masih dilakukan secara manual belum adanya sistem yang dapat mengelola data tersebut. Dengan adanya sistem  HRIS modul Time Management ini diharapkan dapat membantu UPTD. Puskesmas Gunung Sembung dalam mengelola data pengajuan cuti, ijin, dan lembur.Kata Kunci. Branch of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) in Tanjung Perak is one of the institution body that appointed by the Government to carry out the collection and remittance of WAPU VAT according to PMK No. 85 / PMK.03 / 2012 (amended by PMK No. 136 / PMK.03 / 2012). WAPU VAT collection and deposit system are inefficient because it requires a lot of time and effort when it comes to input the data entry of tax invoice, printing Tax Deposit and sent it to Bank Perception. Three steps activities need to be done more than once. Therefore, Branch of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) in Tanjung Perak need the collection and remittance of the WAPU VAT system that sufficient to improve the efficiency of tax suboffices performance.This research aims to design the accounting information system for collecting and depositing process WAPU VAT. WAPU VAT Deposit using e-tax payment application are expected to overcome the problems that will arise in the WAPU VAT system deposit.Exploratory qualitative approach with case study method chosen in order to dig up the real problem occurs and find a solution. This research are expected to contribute significantly towards Branch of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) in Tanjung Perak as a research subject. The influence of humans on biodiversity at the genetic, species, community, and ecosystem levels is enormous. This is even more impactful on plant populations, which, being immobile, are at the mercy of their immediate environment. Digitaria horizontalis is a very common grass species in Benin City. Its ruderal nature accounts mostly for its widespread. The current study investigated the existence of possible genetic diversity of the grass in built environment in Benin City. Plant samples were randomly collected from 21 built environment locations within 6 Local Government Council Areas that make up Benin City. Test plants were allowed to acclimatize in experimental bowls and then allowed to grow for 4 weeks after which morphological characteristics were determined. Genetic diversity was determined by Random Amplification of Polymorphic DNA. Significant differences in plant height (33.0 – 59.0 cm) occurred when plants were compared based on location of collection. Changes in patterns of the association with weeds within the vicinity of the test plant was observed. The most prevalent plant species associated with the test plant was Pennisetum purpureum with a 12.18% prevalence. RAPD analysis using primer OPA 04 revealed a locus (about 600bp) that was absent in one or more of the locations with minimum disturbance. This 600pb fragment was however observed in most samples from highly built up and trampled environments. Primer OPA 03 showed monomorphic bands in 2 test samples with a band size of 400bp. It is therefore reported that there is an existence of the genetic diversity in a landscape of grass species (Digitaria horizontalis) found in different built environment in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
