In this paper, we propose Turbo equalizer scheme using zero-forcing (ZF) and simulate in power line communication (PLC) systems with high speed. Due to impulsive noise and multipath fading in PLC systems, inter-symbol interference (ISI) happens. We employ Turbo equalizer scheme to get over ISI and improve performance. From simulation results, it is confirmed that the proposed Turbo equalizer can remarkably improve PLC system performance.

The popularity of the Power Line Communication (PLC) system has decreased due to significant deficiencies in the technology itself, even though new wire installation is not required. In particular, regarding the request for high-speed throughput to fulfill smart-grid requirements, Broadband Power Line (BPLC) can be considered. This paper approaches PLC technology as an object of simulation experimentation in the Broadband Power Line Communication (BPLC) area. Several experimental measurements in a real environment are also given. This paper demonstrates these experimental simulation results as potential mechanisms for creating a complex simulation tool for various PLC technologies focusing on communication with end devices such as sensors and meters. The aim is to demonstrate the potential and limits of BPLC technology for implementation in Smart Grids or Smart Metering applications.

Beamforming technique based the reciprocity of LTE communication system for high-speed railway is a practical way to improve the system performance in this paper. Kerdock codes, which facilitate efficient codebook and codeword search, are implemented in the LTE system for high-speed railway as the beamforming precoding codebook. The analysis of complexity and simulation results about the communication system of the beamforming with Kerdock codes (KBF) show that the proposed KBF can eliminate complex multiplications and improve the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance at large SNR compared with the existing beamfoming communication system for high-speed railway.

Multicarrier transmission, also known as (OFDM) Orthogonal Frequency Division multiplexing, in wireless communications, it has been proven to be an essential technique for countering multipath fading. It has been used successfully for HF radio applications and has been selected as the interface for digital audio transmission, digital terrestrial TV broadcasting, and high-speed wireless local area networks in Europe. In this paper, we suggested a new design for modeling multipath fading channels, such as the Laplace fading channel, in order to discover new simulation results and effects. Furthermore, the variance of the Laplace fading channel has been computed and the new Bit Error Rate (BER) derivation is established, and the performance of (M-QAM), M-ary Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (with M=4 over OFDM system under Laplace fading channels in Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) is discussed and compared to the conventional M-QAM/OFDM system Rayleigh fading channel in AWGN. All the simulation results are examined using the optimum signal detection based on the Euclidean distance and evaluated using Monte-Carlo simulation.

In order to improve performance of 4-UPS-RPS high-speed spatial parallel robot, the elastic dynamics optimization design was executed. The influence law of the mass of moving platform and the diameter of driving limbs on the dynamic performance, which includes kinematics output response and maximum dynamic stress of driving limbs, were discussed. On these grounds, the mass of moving platform and the diameter of driving limbs were optimized. The simulation results show obvious improvement of the dynamics performance for 4-UPS-RPS parallel robot, therefore the theoretical basis are provided.

In LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) system, coordinated multi-point (CoMP) technology can reduce inter-cell interference effectively, and improve the communication quality of the cell edge users. The main purpose of this paper is to optimize the precoding algorithm and enhance the overall cell throughput in LTE-A CoMP downlink. Based on CoMP-JP, we focus on zero-forcing (ZF), block diagonalization (BD) and signal-to-leakage-plus-noise-ratio (SLNR). We propose an improved precoding algorithm (ZF-SLNR) which combines the advantages of ZF and SLNR . Simulation results suggest that ZF-SLNR algorithm provides appreciable performance improvement.

As the high speed expanding scheme adopted by IEEE802.11b standard, the Complementary Code Keying modulation technology can only perform well in error probability with high signal noise ratio. However, when SNR is comparably low or the number of users in the same channel augments suddenly, the system’s error probability soars. On the basis of the research on Complementary Code Keying, RS coding and decoding algorithms, this paper analyzed code parameters’ influence on error correction and accordingly promoted a coding scheme suitable for Complementary Code Keying: RS(255,239). Simulation Results demonstrated that once SNR is upon 5.1dB the system performance would be greatly enhanced.

Abstract Multi carrier modulation techniques such as MC-CDMA are used in high-speed communication applications. Due to MC-CDMA being a multiuser in technology, the subcarrier quantity allocated per user decreases in case the quantity of active users increases. Consequently, data rates per user are reduced with the increase in the bit error rate (BER). Efficient allocation of subcarriers to users within the system can aid the overcoming of this problem. This study develops a new algorithm for subcarrier allocation and system performance improvement in terms of BER, and data rates in comparison to other algorithms were ensured.

Adopted by IEEE802.11b standard as the high speed expanding scheme, CCK modulation technology performs well in error probability with high signal noise ratio. However, the CCK system’s error probability soars when SNR is comparably low or the number of users in the same channel increases suddenly. Based on CCK algorithm and convolution code’s structure, this paper analyzed code parameters’ influence on error probability and proposed a channel coding scheme suitable for CCK modulation: convolution code (2,1,7)with 3bit soft decision decoding. Simulation Results demonstrated that system performance is greatly improved when SNR is upon 1.3dB and 2dB’s additional coding gain is attained compared with hard decision decoding.

AbstractA novel scheme is proposed for frequency 12-tupling millimeter-wave generation based on two cascaded dual-parallel Mach–Zehnder modulators (DP-MZM) without optical filtering. The impact of imperfect extinction ratio (EXT) of each sub-MZM on optical sideband suppression ratio (OSSR) and RF spurious suppression ratio (RSSR) is investigated. Theoretical and simulation results show that the proposed scheme is feasible and system performance is insensitive to EXT when EXT is not less than 29 dB. Optical mm-wave with 26.4 dB OSSR and 20.3 dB RSSR can be obtained when the DPMZM is consisted of two sub-MZMs with 30 dB EXT. Furthermore, the system performance improvement through sub-MZM modulation index enhancement is analyzed.
