Most of the relevant research and conceptualization has occurred within individualism-collectivism. Kagitcibasi suggests that self can be defined as autonomous, relatedness, and autonomous-related self in Turkish cultural contexts. Triandis make the distinction between vertical and horizontal individualism/collectivism.  Vertical collectivism includes perceiving the self as a part of a collective and accepting inequality. Horizontal collectivism includes perceiving the self as a part of the collective, but seeing all members of the collective as the same; thus equality is stressed. Vertical individualism includes the conception of an autonomous individual and acceptance of inequality. Horizontal individualism includes the conception of an autonomous individual and emphasis on equality. In light of the literature the aim of this study is to examine whether vertical and horizontal individualism/collectivism and self construal’s predict autonomous, relatedness, and autonomous-related self at university student. The research group consisted of 236 (66.7% female, 33.3% male) university students. To collect data the autonomous, relatedness, and autonomous-related, self construal and vertical and horizontal individualism/collectivism scales were used. To analyze the data Pearson Correlation and a structural equation model were used. Overall, we found that vertical and horizontal individualism/collectivism a significantly predict autonomous, relatedness, and autonomous-related self. Specifically, vertical individualism significantly predicted autonomous-related self.  Individuals, who have autonomous-related self, feel equal in status with others in groups. ÖzetLiteratürde Bireycilik ve toplulukçuluk üzerine çok sayıda araştırma ve kavramsallaştırma oluşmuştur. Kağıtçıbaşı Türk toplumuna ve sanayileşen toplumlara özgü yeni bir model öne sürmüştür. Türk kültüründe benliği özerk, ilişkisel ve özerk ilişkisel olarak tanımlamayı önermektedir. Tridianis Yatay ve dikey bireycilik /toplulukçuluk ayrımı yapmıştır. Dikey toplulukçulukta benlik, bir topluluğun parçası olarak algılanır bu toplulukta eşitsizlik kabul edilir. Yatay toplulukçulukta benlik, bir topluluğun parçası olarak algılanır ancak topluluğun tüm üyeleri aynı ve eşit olarak görülür. Dikey bireycilik özerk birey ve eşitsizliğin kabul edilmesi anlayışından oluşur. Yatay bireycilik özerk birey ve eşitliğe vurgu anlayışından oluşur. Literatürden hareketle bu araştırmanın amacı Üniversite öğrencilerinde Yatay ve dikey bireycilik/toplulukçuğun ve benlik kurgularının, özerk, ilişkisel, özerk-ilişkisel benliği yordayıp yordamadığını araştırmaktır. Araştırma grubu 236 üniversite öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır(%66.7 kadın, %33.3erkek). Verileri toplamak için özerklik, ilişkisellik, özerk-ilişkisellik, benlik kurgusu ve Yatay ve dikey bireycilik/toplulukçuluk ölçekleri kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Pearson Korelasyon katsayısı ve Yapısal eşitlik modeli kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçları, özerklik, ilişkisellik, özerk-ilişkisellik, benlik kurgusu ve Yatay ve dikey bireycilik/toplulukçuluk, full model oluşturmak için veriler ile uyumlu olduğunu göstermiştir. Genel olarak Yatay ve dikey bireycilik/toplulukçuluk benlik kurgusu,  özerklik, ilişkisellik, özerk ilişkiselliği yordamıştır. Özellikle yatay bireycilik özerk ilişkisel benliği anlamlı olarak yordamıştır. Bu bulgu özerk-ilişkisel benlik kurgusuna sahip olanların kendilerini ait hissettikleri gruptaki tüm bireyleri ile aynı ve eşit olarak gördüklerine işaret etmektedir.

The purpose of this study wants to examine the effect of System Quality (SysQua) to Service Quality (ServQua), System Quality (SysQua) to Work Performance (WorkPef), and Service Quality (ServQua) to Work Performance (WorkPef). The object in this research is MYOB accounting software. The data gathers with quesionnaires in 2 types, physicals (paper) and online (using Google form).  From 315 questionnaires distributed consisted of 194 respondents through online, and 116 respondents through paper form. All the questionnaires are returned. The obtained data were analyzed using structural equation modelling. The result of data analysis showed that the System Quality (SysQua) have positive significant effect on the Service Quality (ServQua), Service Quality (ServQua) have positive significant effect on Work Performance (WorkPef), and System Quality (SysQua) have positive significant effect on Work Performance (WorkPef). The overall result indicates that MYOB have a good quality and related to user performance. Specifically, the user refers to basic user, which is university student.   Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh hubungan System Quality (SysQua) terhadap Service Quality (ServQua), System Quality (SysQua) terhadap Work Performance (WorkPef) dan Service Quality (ServQua) terhadap Work Performance (WorkPef). Objek pada penelitian ini yaitu software akuntansi MYOB. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Perolehan data dengan kuesioner terdiri dari 2 tipe yaitu fisik (kertas) dan online (menggunakan Google form). Dari 315 kuesioner yang tersebar terdiri dari 194 responden melalui online dan 116 responden melalui kertas. Semua kuesioner telah kembali. Pengelolahan data menggunakan Structural Equation Model. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa System Quality (SysQua) berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Service Quality (ServQua), Service Quality (ServQua) berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Work Performance (WorkPef), dan System Quality (SysQua) berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Work Performance (WorkPef). Hasil keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa MYOB memiliki kualitas yang baik dan terkait dengan kinerja pengguna. Secara khusus, pengguna mengacu kepada pengguna tingkat dasar, yang merupakan mahasiswa.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi menjual, kualitas hubungan, dan pengalaman menjual untuk meningkatkan kinerja tenaga penjualan di PT. New Ratna Motor. Adapun  objek pada penelitian ini adalah tenaga penjualan PT. New Ratna Motor. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 139 responden dan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teknik sensus.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik structural equation model (SEM) dari software AMOS 22. Hasil pengujian menggunakan SEM menunjukan kriteria goodness of fit full model adalah Chi-Square = 92,407; Probability = 0,000; CMIN/DF = 1,925; GFI = 0,893; AGFI = 0,826, TLI = 0,960; CFI = 0,971; dan RMSEA = 0,084. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa model dalam penelitian ini layak untuk digunakan.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kompetensi menjual berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas hubungan, pengalaman menjual tidak berpengaruh terhadap kualitas hubungan, pengalaman menjual berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kompetensi menjual, pengalaman menjual berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja tenaga penjualan, kompetensi menjual tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja tenaga penjualan, kualitas hubungan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja tenaga penjualan. Penelitian ini memberikan beberapa keterbatasan penelitian serta agenda penelitian mendatang yang bisa dilakukan pada penelitian selanjutnya.

Framed within the theoretical support of the Self-determination Theory (SDT) this study aimed to analyze the relationship between the satisfaction of basic psychological needs, the self-determined motivation towards physical education, and the physical self-concept of Spanish teenagers. For this, 618 students, aged from 10 to 14 years-old (M = 11.62, SD = 0.94), participated in physical education classes. The Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction Scale (PNSE), the dimensions of intrinsic motivation and identified motivation of the Perceived Locus of Causality Scale in physical education classes (PLOC), and the Physical Self-Concept Questionnaire (PSPP) were administered. A structural equation model and test confirmatory factor analysis were used. The results indicate a positive relationship between the satisfaction of the basic psychological needs of the students and the self-determined motivation towards physical education, with this being positively associated with the physical self-concept of the students. In addition, a prediction model (χ2 = 763.23; p < 0.001; χ2/d.f. = 3.00; IFI = 0.91; CFI = 0.91; TLI = 0.90; RMSEA = 0.05) showed the satisfaction of basic psychological needs positively predicted their self-determined motivation towards physical education, and this, in turn, a greater physical self-concept of the students. The results are discussed centered on the importance of the physical education teacher contemplating experiences that work on the promotion of personal identity and student self-esteem through the improvement of quality motivation. Consequently, the greater importance of the physical self-concept of the students was explained thanks to more autonomous (intrinsic and identified regulation) motivation and higher levels of basic psychological needs (especially autonomy and competence).

The voluntary turnover rate of qualified professionals is both a critical issue and a priority issue that affects organizations in different ways. The construction industry has a set of very specific and unique characteristics that demarcates it from all other sectors. This situation is related with strong precariousness and employee turnover, as well as the extensive practice of subcontracting. Furthermore, the construction sector, with its project-based production, is more vulnerable to voluntary turnover intention. Therefore, we aimed, in this study, to determine the key factors that contribute to the voluntary turnover intentions of qualified construction professionals. In this paper, the impact of individual-level value orientations on turnover intention in the construction settings, focusing on the mediating effect of external prestige and organizational identification, are investigated. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is employed to estimate the causal relationships between the turnover intention and other research variables. The analyses are based on questionnaire responses from 441 construction professionals living in Istanbul. The findings indicate that an individual difference in the self-construal is related to turnover intention indirectly by virtue of employees’ perceptions of organizational prestige. Organizational identification also partially mediated the relationship between the self-construal and the turnover intention.

A correlational study was conducted among attendees of three music festivals in Poland ( N = 828). The main goal was to examine how functions ascribed to music are related to (a) a feeling of being united with other attendees, (b) the perception of being independent from or (c) interdependent with other attendees, and (d) a feeling of self-growth resulting in self-expansion. Using structural equation modelling, we showed the following. First, people who feel stronger connections and experience more personal relationships with other attendees report a stronger feeling of self-growth during music festivals and ascribe more importance to the social functions of music. Second, a strong, direct relationship exists between independent self-construal (i.e., an individualistic view of the self as autonomous from other people) and the self-awareness function of music as well as between interdependent self-construal (i.e., a more collectivistic view of the self as embedded in the group and community) and the social function of music. Finally, the results of the mediation analysis of self-expansion for the relationships between different aspects of self and the functions of music indicated that self-expansion is a statistically significant partial mediator of these relationships for the social and self-awareness function of music but not for the emotional function. That is, participants, who experienced changes in self-construct related to self-growth and self-development from their participation in a music festival used music to facilitate self-awareness and social relatedness.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of unlearning on knowledge management (KM) in sport organizations. Design/methodology/approach The research method in this study was the descriptive–correlative type. Subjects in this research included all the employees of sport and youth organizations in Iran. To analyze the research data, inferential statistics including exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, Kolmogorov–Smirnov test, Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation model were used. A theoretical model was developed and tested based on the literature review. Data were analyzed via SPSS and LISREL software. Findings The results from the study illustrate that there were significant relationships among all dimensions of unlearning and dimensions of KM. Furthermore, the model of the influence of unlearning on KM, as well as the model of the influence of dimensions of unlearning on KM, illustrates proper finesses. Originality/value Through this study, the positive fundamental role of considering the processes of managing unlearning and avoiding bad habits as two coordinator tools to achieve tangible assesses in organizations is revealed and the significance of considering such studies is specified for researchers. This study supported the members of sport organizations to understand how to improve knowledge and experience of the employees through unlearning.

The purpose of the present study was to examine how cultural orientations influence students’ entrepreneurial motivations and intentions in a developing country, namely Iran. Two cultural orientations, namely independent and interdependent self-construal, were incorporated into a model of entrepreneurial intention that draws upon the theory of planned behavior (TPB) and self-construal theory. In total, 290 final year undergraduate agricultural students from four public Iranian universities participated in the study. Questionnaire data were gathered. Using the partial least squares structural equation model, independent self-construal significantly and directly related to entrepreneurial intentions. Interdependent self-construal positively related to subjective norms, and independent self-construal positively related to perceived behavioral control. Both independent and interdependent self-construal helped explain the attitudes of individuals toward entrepreneurship with interdependent self-construal playing a greater role. The present results and their implications can help both policy makers and educators develop effective strategies for promoting entrepreneurship.
