Though workplace incivility is a negative behavioral phenomenon that has infiltrated almost every sector, yet, less investigated in the healthcare sector. The healthcare sector is the backbone for economic and well-being for any nation and mainly composed of nurses. Turnover among nurses is a serious challenge to public healthcare facilities in terms of management, financing, and service quality. Based on the COR theory, this study capitalizes investigation on the effects of incivility on turnover intention through burnout and occupational stress. Simple random sampling was deployed on a sample of 265 nurses from 24 public hospitals of Sindh in Pakistan. Data analysis through partial least square and results revealed that workplace incivility has insignificant relation with turnover intention. Whereas, incivility has a significant indirect relationship with turnover intention through burnout and occupational stress. This study suggests that emotional and occupational depletion in public healthcare is high due to incivility at the workplace. Thus, HR managers must devise policies to practice civil behavior to curtail turnover intention problem among nurses. Besides practical benefits, some limitations with potential future research directions are discussed in the end.

The objective of this paper is to assess the predictive influence of internal marketing on employee job satisfaction and turnover intention of frontline employees of travel agencies in Sabah. Specifically, the study aims to investigate the extent to which each of the four dimensions of internal marketing (internal communication, reward system, working condition and training) affects employee job satisfaction and the intention to leave the organization.Conceptually, this study extends the concept of Internal Marketing by re framing it as a formative hierarchical construct and modeling its impact on job satisfaction and turnover intention. The two-stage approach was adopted in partial least square structural equation modeling to examine the hierarchical modeling of internal marketing. The findings suggest that internal marketing is a significant predictor of job satisfaction and indirectly influences employees‟ turnover intention. The conceptualization of internal marketing as reflective formative type of second order model was justified in this study. Other than the conceptual and empirical contribution, this study also offers an alternative method in modeling internal marketing of which could be adopted in future research.


The term “ecotourism” can be defined as responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people (The International Ecotourism Society, 1990). The aim of this study is to explore the factors influencing communities’ perceptions in ecotourism competitiveness. The factors to be discussed include community knowledge, community support, economic impacts, environmental impacts, social-cultural impacts and stakeholder’s involvement. 113 respondents comprising of local communities from Sama Jaya Nature Reserve took part voluntarily in this research. Partial least square structural equation modelling is applied by using SmartPLS 3.0 to analyse the collected data on path modelling and bootstrapping. Interestingly, all of these factors demonstrate significant influence on ecotourism competitiveness except social-cultural factor. It is postulated that these findings are of beneficial to the tourism implementers and decision makers in developing the right tourism development paradigms in the area. Findings implication and future research directions are also discussed.

The emerging issues that surround the house officers (HO) of Malaysia’s public hospitals has raised significant concerns among the practitioners and the academicians; such as uncivil treatment that occur in the hospital environment. Reflecting from this, this paper aims to discuss the relationship between the workplace incivility and turnover intention among the house officers of Malaysia’s public hospitals. An extensive review provides the insights of the possible relationships between the variables. Related proposed framework of this research is hoped to meet the research objectives and provide valuableinsights for future research.

This study seeks to determine the impact of job stress and workload on turnover intention along with the mediation role of job satisfaction. A total of 140 academics and management personnel participated in this study’s survey. A partial least square structural equation modeling was used for data analysis. The results show that job stress and workload have a positive effect on turnover intention, while job satisfaction mediates the relationship between job stress, workload, and turnover intention. Future research could adapt and adopt the herein used methodology and research topic to other countries or in other industries.

This study discussed employee turnover as one of the crucial problems faced by every organization. This study sought to analyze the determinants of turnover intention, such as job insecurity, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. The objects of this study were newcomer lecturers of private Islamic universities in East Java Province, Indonesia. To analyze the relationship among independent variables and dependent variable; this study employed a correlation path model. To build the structural formulation of the correlation path model, this study used the variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as a Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The study found that job insecurity influenced job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Moreover, job satisfaction and organizational commitment had positive impacts on the turnover intention. In contrast, job insecurity did not have a direct significant impact on the turnover intention, but it had indirect effect that influences job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

Research on engagement has gained considerable attention in recent years as it is a strong predictor of a range of positive individual and organizational outcomes. There is a question of why the level of the engagement is different from employee to employee in an organization, though they are provided with the same resources. This study aims to investigate the influence of fit perception on engagement and the role of the employee’s psychological condition (work meaningfulness) on this relationship. This study mainly employed a survey research strategy, and data were primarily garnered from a questionnaire. This study was conducted among 145 respondents from the public sector organizations in Sri Lanka. Partial least-square structural equation modelling was employed to analyse the generated data. In this study, the researcher has conceptualized fit perception as a higher order construct comprising Person Job fit and Person Organization fit. The study revealed that fit perception positively influences employee engagement, and this relationship is mediated by work meaningfulness. This study contributes to the literature by deepening the understanding of the fit perception and engagement relationship by introducing work meaningfulness as a mediator variable. By highlighting how engagement is influenced by fit perception and work meaningfulness, this study facilitates practitioners to build and maintain an engaged workforce. Further contributions of this study, the avenue for future research, and study limitations are presented in detail at the end of this article.

This research examines the association of job attitudes (i.e. job involvement, job satisfaction, and commitment) with knowledge sharing behaviour of bank personnel through behavioural antecedents (i.e. motivation, attitude, and intentions to share knowledge). The hypothesised relationships among job attitudes (excluding job involvement), behaviour antecedents, and knowledge sharing behaviour are significant and consistent. Notably, the association of job satisfaction with the motivation to share knowledge is insignificant. The survey results are based on data from a stratified multistage cluster sample of 316 public and private sector bank professionals from Pakistan, analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS)-Structure Equation Modelling (SEM). The research provides a framework for theoretical and practical implications in knowledge-intensive organisations to foster knowledge sharing that increases individual as well as organisational productivity. The study paves the way for future research by including knowledge-oriented leadership, culture, trust, knowledge governance, and citizenship behaviour in the current framework for analysis in diverse geographical and demographical contexts.

This study aims to examine effects of consumer confusion proneness on two consumer behavior variables, word of mouth and buying decision, in a confusion prone product market like smartphone and mobile applications (app). Additionally, the study examines the moderating influence of a personality trait variable pertinent to information processing – need for cognition, on the afore-mentioned relationships. Data were collected via a survey from 254 post-graduate students and analyzed with the help of structural equation modeling with a partial least square (PLS) approach using SmartPLS 2.0. Research findings indicate that the dimensions of consumer confusion proneness behave differently in terms of their linkages with consumer behavior. Further, as expected, consumers' need for cognition also play a major moderating role which helps to fathom the concept of consume confusion in the context of mobile and smartphone applications. Academic and managerial implications as well as scope for future research are also discussed.

Keeping in view the importance of services industries especially the hospitality sector, the study analyzed behavioral outcomes of role stress in front line employees of three, four and five star hotels in Lahore for the first time in the Pakistani context. Stratified random sampling technique was used to collect data from 262 front line employee of six job positions. By using smart PLS 3.0 software that utilizes Partial Least Square Structure Equation Modeling (PLSSEM) technique, the study found role stress negatively affecting job satisfaction and positively affecting both burnout and turnover intention of employees. All relationships were significant at 99% confidence level. The result showed eroding effect of stress on job satisfaction and accumulating tendency towards burnout and turnover intention. The results of this study, not only confirmed to previous results, both in direction and strength of the relationship. Rather, provided new insight to understand the phenomenon in the hospitality sector of Pakistan.

The shortage of professional nurses in a hospital is to threaten service quality and patient safety. Inadequate compensation, no career development, and dissatisfaction can increase turnover intention. Increasing professional nurses' resilience is better than recruiting new nurses from an economic perspective. The research analyzed the effect of compensation and carrier development on job satisfaction and the impact on nurses' turnover intention in a private hospital in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A quantitative research design with the cross-sectional approach was used. The sampling technique was simple random sampling. The samples consisted of 47 nurses who made a self-reported by filling out the questionnaire. Data analysis used Partial Least Square. The study found that compensation and career development had direct and significant effects on Turnover Intention. Moreover, compensation and career development also had indirect and significant Turnover Intention effects through job satisfaction as the intervening variable.
