Die internationale Bedeutung von Elektromobilität steigt. Derzeitige Insellösungen hemmen jedoch das durchgängige Angebot von Elektromobilitätslösungen. Dienstleistungsorientierte Geschäftsmodelle für die multifunktionale Nutzung von Elektrofahrzeugen bieten das Potential, die Elektromobilität wirtschaftlich zu gestalten. Dazu wird die Innovationskupplung der Elektromobilität als ein systematischer Ansatz zur Entwicklung innovativer Geschäftsmodelle vorgestellt.   The international importance of electric mobility is growing. Existing stand-alone solutions, however, hinder a general offer for electric mobility solutions. Service-oriented business models for the multifunctional use of electric vehicles offer the potential to make electric mobility profitable. As an approach for a systematic development of innovative business models, the coupling of innovation for electric mobility is presented.

Abstract The proposed study aims to use asyncretic and synthetic approach of two elements that have an intrinsic efficiency value: business models and electric vehicles. Our approach seeks to circumscribe more widespread concerns globally - on the one hand, to oil shortages and climate change - and on the other hand, economic efficiency to business models customized to new types of mobility. New “electric” cars projects besiege the traditional position of the conventional car. In the current economy context the concept of efficiency of business models is quite different from what it meant in a traditional sense, particularly because of new technological fields. The arguments put forward by us will be both factual and emotional. Therefore, we rely on interviews and questionnaires designed to fit significantly to the point of the study. Research in the field of new propulsion systems for vehicles has been exploring various possibilities lately, such as: electricity, hydrogen, compressed air, biogas, etc. Theoretically or in principle, it is possible for tomorrow’s vehicles to be driven by the widest variety if resources. A primary goal of our study would be to theoretically reconsider some of the contemporary entrepreneurship coordinates and secondly to provide minimum guidance for decision-making of businesses that will operate in the field of electric mobility. To achieve this, we shall specifically analyze an electric mobility system but in parallel we will address business models that lend themselves effectively on aspects of this field. With a methodology based on questionnaires that had to overcome the conventional mechanism using some of the most unusual ingredients, we hope that the results of our research will successfully constitute a contribution to the goals and especially as a means of managerial orientation for entrepreneurs in the Romanian market.

Environmental problems such as air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions are especially challenging in urban areas. Electric mobility in different forms may be a solution. While in recent years a major focus was put on private electric vehicles, e-mobility in public transport is already a very well-established and mature technology with a long history. The core objective of this paper is to analyze the economics of e-mobility in the Austrian capital of Vienna and the corresponding impact on the environment. In this paper, the historical developments, policy framework and scenarios for the future development of mobility in Vienna up to 2030 are presented. A major result shows that in an ambitious scenario for the deployment of battery electric vehicles, the total energy demand in road transport can be reduced by about 60% in 2030 compared to 2018. The major conclusion is that the policies, especially subsidies and emission-free zones will have the largest impact on the future development of private and public e-mobility in Vienna. Regarding the environmental performance, the most important is to ensure that a very high share of electricity used for electric mobility is generated from renewable energy sources.

Purpose The Industry 4.0 phenomenon is bringing unprecedented disruptions for all traditional business models and hastening the need for a redesign and digitisation of activities. In this context, the literature concerning the digital supply chain (DSC) and its capabilities are in the early stages. To bridge this gap, the purpose of this paper is to propose a framework for digital supply chain capabilities (DSCCs). Design/methodology/approach This paper uses a narrative literature approach, based on the main Industry 4.0 elements, supply chain and the emerging literature concerning DSC disruptions, to build an integrative framework to shed light on DSCCs. Findings The study identifies seven basic capabilities that shape the DSCC framework and six main enabler technologies, derived from 13 propositions. Research limitations/implications The proposed framework can bring valuable insights for future research development, although it has not been tested yet. Practical implications Managers, practitioners and all involved in the digitalisation phenomenon can utilise the framework as a starting point for other business digitalisation projects. Originality/value This study contributes to advancing the DSC literature, providing a well-articulated discussion and a framework regarding the capabilities, as well as 13 propositions that can generate valuable insights for other studies.

Purpose The research aims to clarify and give insights on the importance of entrepreneurial orientation for sustained mobility through the four business models which are currently operational in different regions of the world for supporting the commercialization drive of electric vehicles (EVs). Design/methodology/approach By drawing on extant literature, the author develops systematic business frameworks undergirded by the triad of entrepreneurial orientation (innovation, risk-taking and proactiveness) depicting enablers of value creation, capturing and adoption barriers related to EVs. These multidimensional frameworks are then used to analyse the selected business models for their strengths and weaknesses. Findings The findings of the research underlined the importance of adopting entrepreneurial orientation, conceiving flexible business model, forging inter-industry partnerships and leveraging on shared resources as prime requirements for achieving success in EV segment. Research limitations/implications This study underlines the importance of entrepreneurial orientation and has the recommendations for the entrepreneurs, the EV companies and the policymakers. Originality/value This study fulfils the identified need of developing entrepreneurial orientation and sound business models for EVs.
