AbstractIn this review, most of the works are attempted to cover about corrosion protection of metals with molecular-tight atomic thin carbon layers of all sorts of graphene derivatives from the very beginning to the latest theoretical and experimental research findings, so as engineering achievements in the field up to date. Although high and tuneable electrical conductivity of graphene is the main feature exploited in majority of the applications such as catalysis, photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, low electrical but high chemical resistivity electrodes in batteries, and ultracapacitors, corrosion protection of metals favours the opposite – good physical separation and electrical insulation. Both of the latter ones lead to durable excellent protection, which can only be ensured by special design and implementation. Thus, the milestones of major hardships both on theoretical and practical sides are delineated similarly as utmost developments in circumventing all problems with an aim to ensure timely transfer from the research phase to successful industry utilisations. Relying on numerous works, this paper gives a comprehensive overview in the subjects of preparation, modification, and use of multiple sorts of graphene in the forms of neat, combined layers, and composite coatings on numerous metals. All performance parameters are given in detail. Chronological order of the article serves the purpose to give the reader a clear picture and an important clue on viability of strategies in the aspects of environmental friendliness, attainable maximum durability, and performance of corrosion protection with graphene films, as well as further advancements in the field expected to occur in the near future.

Conducting polymers (CPs), including polypyrrole, have attracted attention for their potential in the protection of metals against corrosion; however, CP coatings have the limitation of poor adhesion to metal substrates. In this study, a composite coating, comprising a self-organized porous anodic oxide layer and a polypyrrole layer, has been developed on iron. Because of electropolymerization in the pores of the anodic oxide layer, the composite coating showed improved adhesion to the substrate along with prolonged corrosion protection in a NaCl aqueous corrosive environment. The anodic oxide layers are formed in a fluoride-containing organic electrolyte and contain a large amount of fluoride species. The removal of these fluoride species from the oxide layer and the metal/oxide interface region is crucial for improving the corrosion protection.

More and more designers and companies in the packaging industry begin to pay attention to research on environmentally friendly packaging design. From studying the additional functions of packaging to starting to study the environmentally friendly materials of packaging, as well as the “zero-pollution” packaging advocated today, the traditional form and mode of packaging has changed. This article aims to study the design of the overall packaging box of environmentally friendly packaging materials and discuss its performance. In this paper, the platform construction method and the modulus definition classification method are used to calculate the positive axis stiffness of the single-layer board. The effect of coating process on the wear resistance of paper-based materials was studied, the wear resistance of box board base paper and coated box board under different temperatures and different humidity conditions was compared, and the optimal design variable value range was set. The experimental results show that after the first level of optimization, the overall mass of the structure is reduced from the initial 39.42 kg to 31.18 kg and the optimization efficiency is 20.90%; the maximum relative deformation of the flap structure has increased from 0.143 mm to 0.198 mm, despite having the maximum tension. The opening displacement has increased, but it still meets the sealing deformation requirements. The design and performance discussion of the overall packaging box of environmentally friendly packaging materials have been completed relatively well.

Abstract The field of vocabulary research is witnessing a growing interest in the use of eye-tracking to investigate topics that have traditionally been examined using offline measures, providing new insights into the processing and learning of vocabulary. During an eye-tracking experiment, participants’ eye movements are recorded while they attend to written or auditory input, resulting in a rich record of online processing behaviour. Because of its many benefits, eye-tracking is becoming a major research technique in vocabulary research. However, before this emerging trend of eye-tracking based vocabulary research continues to proliferate, it is important to step back and reflect on what current studies have shown about the processing and learning of vocabulary, and the ways in which we can use the technique in future research. To this aim, the present paper provides a comprehensive overview of current eye-tracking research findings, both in terms of the processing and learning of single words and formulaic sequences. Current research gaps and potential avenues for future research are also discussed.

This research examines the interrelation of knowledge generation (KG) and knowledge sharing (KC) and how they influence IT infrastructure (ITI) and strategic decision support systems (SDSS) to enhance business process performance (BPP) and firm performance (FP). Furthermore, the objective of this study is to emphasise the importance of applying information systems strategies (ISS) such as knowledge capture and utilisation to make better firm processes to boost firm performance in knowledge management process-intensive organisations. The study surveyed 261 Brazilian companies and used partial least squares path modelling to test the hypotheses proposed herein. The research findings showed that KG and KC influence ITI. Additionally, it also showed that ITI has full mediation in its relationship with KG and SDSS and partial mediation in its relationship with KC on the SDSS. Finally, BPP demonstrated full mediation in its relationship with SDSS and FP. The research findings contribute to firms understand how BPP and FP are affected through ISS embedded into knowledge and utilisation coupled with knowledge generation and sharing.

The aim of the present study is to explore Digital Transformation frontiers using the lens of Open Innovation. By implementing bibliographic coupling method, the authors bring together segmental publications from different research fields and provide a comprehensive overview of the combined Open Innovation and Digital Transformation field's intellectual structure, revealing the different groups of thoughts, influential authors, and pressing topics. The research findings illustrate, the research area has polycentric composition with absence of overlaps between articles. Five main research groups are identified: Co-evolution of Digital Technologies and Open Innovation; Digital Peer-communities; Digital Ecosystems; Knowledge Management in the Open and Digital Era; and Open Innovation, Digital Technologies, and Businesses Performance. The current research contributes both Open Innovation and Digital Transformation fields by cross-exploring each phenomenon and revealing how Digital Transformation shapes the nature of innovation as a collaborative activity as part of an independent research area.
