Abstract We propose a method to exactly generate Brownian paths x c (t) that are constrained to return to the origin at some future time t f , with a given fixed area A f = ∫ 0 t f d t x c ( t ) under their trajectory. We derive an exact effective Langevin equation with an effective force that accounts for the constraint. In addition, we develop the corresponding approach for discrete-time random walks, with arbitrary jump distributions including Lévy flights, for which we obtain an effective jump distribution that encodes the constraint. Finally, we generalise our method to other types of dynamical constraints such as a fixed occupation time on the positive axis T f = ∫ 0 t f d t Θ x c ( t ) or a fixed generalised quadratic area A f = ∫ 0 t f d t x c 2 ( t ) .

More and more designers and companies in the packaging industry begin to pay attention to research on environmentally friendly packaging design. From studying the additional functions of packaging to starting to study the environmentally friendly materials of packaging, as well as the “zero-pollution” packaging advocated today, the traditional form and mode of packaging has changed. This article aims to study the design of the overall packaging box of environmentally friendly packaging materials and discuss its performance. In this paper, the platform construction method and the modulus definition classification method are used to calculate the positive axis stiffness of the single-layer board. The effect of coating process on the wear resistance of paper-based materials was studied, the wear resistance of box board base paper and coated box board under different temperatures and different humidity conditions was compared, and the optimal design variable value range was set. The experimental results show that after the first level of optimization, the overall mass of the structure is reduced from the initial 39.42 kg to 31.18 kg and the optimization efficiency is 20.90%; the maximum relative deformation of the flap structure has increased from 0.143 mm to 0.198 mm, despite having the maximum tension. The opening displacement has increased, but it still meets the sealing deformation requirements. The design and performance discussion of the overall packaging box of environmentally friendly packaging materials have been completed relatively well.

<p>The importance of temporal information versus place information in frequency analysis by the ear is a continuing controversy. This dissertation developes a temporal model which simulates human frequency discrimination. The model gives guantitative measures of performance for the discrimination of sinusoids in white gaussian noise. The model simulates human frequency discrimination performance as a function of frequency and signal-to-noise ratio. The model's predictions are based on the temporal intervals between the positive axis crossings of the stimulus. The histograms of these temporal intervals were used as the underlying distributions from which indices of discriminability were calculated. Human freguency discrimination data was obtained for five observers as a function of frequency and signal-to-noise ratio. The data were analysed using the method of Group-operating-characteristic (GOC) Analysis. This method of analysis statistically removes unique noise from data. The unique noise was removed by summing observers' ratings for identical stimuli. This method of analysis gave human frequency discrimination data with less unigue noise than any existing frequency data. The human data were used for evaluating the model. The GOC Analysis was also used to study the improvement in d' as a function of stimulus replications and signal-to-noise ratio. The model was a good fit to the human data at 250 Hz, for two signal-to-noise ratios. The model did not fit the data at 1000 Hz or 5000 Hz. There was some evidence of a transition occuring at 1000 Hz. This investigation supported the idea that human frequency discrimination relies on a temporal mechanism at low frequencies with a transition to some other mechanism at about lO00 Hz.</p>

Abstract Celestial amplitudes represent 4D scattering of particles in boost, rather than the usual energy-momentum, eigenstates and hence are sensitive to both UV and IR physics. We show that known UV and IR properties of quantum gravity translate into powerful constraints on the analytic structure of celestial amplitudes. For example the soft UV behavior of quantum gravity is shown to imply that the exact four-particle scattering amplitude is meromorphic in the complex boost weight plane with poles confined to even integers on the negative real axis. Would-be poles on the positive real axis from UV asymptotics are shown to be erased by a flat space analog of the AdS resolution of the bulk point singularity. The residues of the poles on the negative axis are identified with operator coefficients in the IR effective action. Far along the real positive axis, the scattering is argued to grow exponentially according to the black hole area law. Exclusive amplitudes are shown to simply factorize into conformally hard and conformally soft factors. The soft factor contains all IR divergences and is given by a celestial current algebra correlator of Goldstone bosons from spontaneously broken asymptotic symmetries. The hard factor describes the scattering of hard particles together with the boost-eigenstate clouds of soft photons or gravitons required by asymptotic symmetries. These provide an IR safe $$ \mathcal{S} $$ S -matrix for the scattering of hard particles.

Purpose - This study conceptualizes the measuring effect of brand personality along with its five dimensions on brand loyalty with the help of customer satisfaction played the role of mediation among the users of Samsung cell-phones. Design/MethodologyApproach - The study was in quantitative nature. Data was collected from 418 respondents from the different cities of Sindh like Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and Sukkur through a survey questionnaire, and data was analyzed through smart PLS Software by applying the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. Findings - The findings executed that the keeping in view all other things constant one unit change in brand personality cause a change of 0.919 in customer satisfaction, one unit change in brand personality cause a change of 0.879 in brand loyalty and one unit change in customer satisfaction will cause a change of 0.095 in brand loyalty. As the results suggest that the brand personality has a positive strong relation with brand loyalty directly, here customer satisfaction has played the role of partial mediator between brand personality and brand loyalty at very weak relations with brand loyalty. Thus increasing error is at the minimum position because all the values are lying on the positive axis. Practical Implications - This study strongly assists marketers to improve customer loyalty strategies. This study has figured out the clear picture for marketers that if the customers perceive highly based on brand personality so it would be nice for marketers to strengthen the brand personality attributes for brand loyalty. Origionality/Value - This study is not only emphasized the brand personality but also put an in-depth eye on customer satisfaction. In this study, customer satisfaction played a partial mediating role because of the positive and strong relationship found between brand personality and brand loyalty.

The f -divergence of Csiszar is defined for a non-negative convex function on the positive axis. A pseudo f -divergence can be defined for a convex function not satisfying the usual requirements. A rational function where both the numerator and the denominator are non-integer polynomials will be used to generate universal portfolios. Five stock-price data sets from the local stock exchange are selected for the empirical study. Empirical results are obtained by running the generated portfolios on these data sets. The empirical results demonstrate that it is possible for the investors to increase their wealth by using the portfolios in investment.

The normal distribution of a random variable is usually used in studies of the probabilistic characteristics of information systems. However, its use to approximate distributions defined on a limited interval distorts the physical meaning of the model and the numerical results, so it can only be used as an initial approximation. The purpose of the work is the improvement of calculation methods the probabilistic characteristics of information systems. The object of the research is an analytical method for calculating the processing time of a query in the system, the subject is a formula for calculating the duration of a sequential processing of a query by system elements with uniformly distributed random processing times. When deriving formulas for calculating the probability characteristics of a sum of independent uniformly distributed random variables, methods of probability theory are used. For random variables determined only on the positive axis of coordinates, it is proposed to use finite-interval distribution laws, for example, beta distribution. Formulas probability density function and cumulative distribution function for sums of two, three, and four independent uniformly distributed random variables are derived.

Nowadays, Indonesian government is focusing on build up infrastructures, especially power plant infrastructures to fulfil electrical energy needs. One of the power plants that will be built up is Waai power plant which located on Waai village, Maluku Province. Waai power plant had been postponed since 2014. In order to build this power plant, the advisability of the building needed to be checked from its verticality level. This level was determined by Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS). The TLS’s point clouds were registered using two methods, there are target to target and cloud to cloud methods. There are 65 beams on the power plant boiler building, but only 31 beams that used as the samples to assign the verticality of the boiler construction. The verticality level was set on the X-axis, Y-axis, and the resultant of the X and Y axis by using Pythagoras theorem after the bottom and top coordinates from each beam was determined. The Queensland Building and Construction Admission Standards and Tolerances Guide 2016 was used as tolerance of verticality level. The result of the verticality calculation presented on the X-axis consisted from -0ᵒ 1’ 26,678” to 0ᵒ 4’ 11,778” with the average was 0ᵒ 1’ 40,820” and major direction pointed the positive axis. On the Y-axis, the average was -0ᵒ 0’ 45,772” with -0ᵒ 3’ 33,345” as minimum and 0ᵒ 1’ 25,319” as the maximum and the major direction went to the negative axis. The verticality on the resultant of X and Y axis was from 0ᵒ 0’ 45,225” until 0ᵒ 4’ 15,674” with the average was 0ᵒ 2’ 27,057” and the direction was to the southeast. After the verticality number was compared with the tolerance, the verticality level was smaller than the standard on each beam. From the result, we can conclude that the boiler building on the Waai power plant can be categorized safe to reconstruct.

As the unification and development of impulsive differential equations and difference equations, impulsive dynamic equations on time scales are a powerful tool to simulate the natural and social phenomena. In this paper, we study the interval oscillation of a type of forced second-order nonlinear impulsive dynamic equations with changing signs coefficients. By using the Riccati transformation technique, we obtain some new interval oscillation criteria, based only on information of a sequence of subintervals of positive axis. In addition, we provide an example to illustrate the use of our oscillatory results.
