AbstractThe consumption of electric energy in Brazil in 2018 was 472 GWh, and 28.85% of consumption refers to the residential sector. The Brazilian market for Light Emitting Diode (LED) products grows more than 30% a year, while LED imports have grown from 131 million units in 2015 to 145 million in 2017 (+10.6%). Therefore, the need to improve the technical and conformity assessment requirements for LED bulbs sold in Brazil is evident. This work analyses Electrical and Luminotechnical Parameters in LED lamps considering Brazilian standards analysing some parameters of LED lamps, which employ different topologies in their drivers, when submitted to voltage magnitude variation. Samples are tested on 18 single-base LED lamps with an integrated control device, GLS LED bulbs, available at the Brazilian market. The methodology consists in applying nominals voltages as INMETRO standards determinates. Throughout the tests, measurements are done and compared with the levels established by Brazilian standards. The results show that there are lamps in this study that obtained the certification by regulated Brazilian organization but does not attend to the level determinate by the Brazilian standard, exposing an opportunity for improvement to existing standards and certification process.

This paper examines the potentials of saving electric energy in school lighting by replacing the existent systems of lighting with more adequate ones which are based on light-emitting diode technology. Our primary goal is to present the methodology used in this analysis since it can be used to determine potential savings in lighting systems of any public building. We have performed the detailed analysis of nine high schools located in Kragujevac, Serbia. The first step was to collect the data about the numbers and types of systems utilized, as well as about the habits of their users. This has revealed the share of electricity consumption for lighting in total electricity consumption. The replacements for each existent light source have been proposed taking into consideration the projected value of light flux depending on the purpose of each room. The calculations of potential savings through the replacement of lighting systems have been conducted taking into consideration not only the savings in electric energy but also the savings made through the maintenance cost reduction. Based on the results, the potential savings range from 53-62% while the payback period for the analysed schools is about four years in average.

Abstract How to reflect energy conservation and environmental protection in the landscape of high-rise buildings is a hot topic of current research. How to use environmentally friendly materials to show the charm of high-rise building landscape is the main content of this article. Based on the colour samples of the high-rise building landscape, the thesis uses environmental protection and energy-saving light sources to simulate the lighting of the building colour samples in the laboratory. This article realizes the quantitative research on the colour authenticity performance of colour paintings under commonly used LEDs in high-rise building landscapes, and provides a reliable basis for the selection of LEDs in colour painting lighting design.

Chaos synchronization of delayed quantum dot light emitting diode has been studied theortetically which are coupled via the unidirectional and bidirectional. at synchronization of chaotic, The dynamics is identical with delayed optical feedback for those coupling methods. Depending on the coupling parameters and delay time the system exhibits complete synchronization, . Under proper conditions, the receiver quantum dot light emitting diode can be satisfactorily synchronized with the transmitter quantum dot light emitting diode due to the optical feedback effect.

The smart store system (F3 Storage System) provides an inventory system function, and is supported by voice recognition for items searching purpose in the warehouse. This system is aimed to improve effectiveness in item searching process for the warehouse management. An inventory system structures is employed in this system to enable items management. Voice recognition facility helps the worker to search item in an effective way. Worker can use voice recognition function to search the item in the warehouse, and searched information of the item will be displayed in the liquid crystal display (LCD) screen. Meanwhile, the location of the item will be physically indicated by the light emitting diode (LED) light function. The developed system also contains a barcode system to enhance the process of scheduling warehouse activity. Such facilities will enhance the capabilities of existing inventory management systems in warehouses. Prototyping model is used to assist project development. Arduino technology is used to enable integrated hardware and software to read data or input. With Arduino technology, traditional search items by using text and search functionality are enhanced to allow speech functionality. This functionality makes the search process faster and more efficient.

Abstract Temperature and humidity dependent reliability analysis was performed based on a case study involving an indicator printed-circuit board with surface-mounted multiple-die red, green and blue light-emitting diode chips. Reported intermittent failures were investigated and the root cause was attributed to a non-optimized reflow process that resulted in micro-cracks and delaminations within the molding resin of the chips.
