The increase in Multi criteria decision-making studies is reflecting its importance as an interested area for research. Even though a high number of revealed studies mainly in last decade, still this field have challenges that require attentions from researchers in future. Most of MCDM related studies did not consider determining DM weights or using subjective methods, and there is an absence of implementing sensitivity analysis to DM weights as well. In addition to the need to develop new methods that utilizing the web or mobile technologies to deal with complexity and uncertainty adhered to MCDM problems. This paper represents a trial to list current challenges in this field as areas of interest for researchers in future studies that aims to enhance the quality and effectiveness of decision-making process.

AbstractWhenever a system needs to be operated by a central decision making authority in the presence of two or more conflicting goals, methods from multi-criteria decision making can help to resolve the trade-offs between these goals. In this work, we devise an interactive simulation-based methodology for planning and deciding in complex dynamic systems subject to multiple objectives and parameter uncertainty. The outline intermittently employs simulation models and global sensitivity analysis methods in order to facilitate the acquisition of system-related knowledge throughout the iterations. Moreover, the decision maker participates in the decision making process by interactively adjusting control variables and system parameters according to a guiding analysis question posed for each iteration. As a result, the overall decision making process is backed up by sensitivity analysis results providing increased confidence in terms of reliability of considered decision alternatives. Using the efficiency concept of Pareto optimality and the sensitivity analysis method of Sobol’ sensitivity indices, the methodology is then instantiated in a case study on planning and deciding in an infectious disease epidemic situation similar to the 2020 coronavirus pandemic. Results show that the presented simulation-based methodology is capable of successfully addressing issues such as system dynamics, parameter uncertainty, and multi-criteria decision making. Hence, it represents a viable tool for supporting decision makers in situations characterized by time dynamics, uncertainty, and multiple objectives.

The objective of this manuscript is divided into two fold. Firstly, a more generalized intuitionistic fuzzy entropy measure of order and degree has been presented for measuring the degree of fuzziness of the set with a proof of its validity. A structured linguistic variable has been taken as an illustrative example to show its validity and superiority than the existing measures. Furthermore, based on this measure, an approach to deal with multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problem is developed. Finally, a practical example is provided to illustrate the decision making process. A computed result is compared with the help of existing results. A sensitivity analysis on the different values of the parameters will make a decision maker more choice for accessing their results.

AbstractComplex fuzzy (CF) sets (CFSs) have a significant role in modelling the problems involving two-dimensional information. Recently, the extensions of CFSs have gained the attention of researchers studying decision-making methods. The complex T-spherical fuzzy set (CTSFS) is an extension of the CFSs introduced in the last times. In this paper, we introduce the Dombi operations on CTSFSs. Based on Dombi operators, we define some aggregation operators, including complex T-spherical Dombi fuzzy weighted arithmetic averaging (CTSDFWAA) operator, complex T-spherical Dombi fuzzy weighted geometric averaging (CTSDFWGA) operator, complex T-spherical Dombi fuzzy ordered weighted arithmetic averaging (CTSDFOWAA) operator, complex T-spherical Dombi fuzzy ordered weighted geometric averaging (CTSDFOWGA) operator, and we obtain some of their properties. In addition, we develop a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method under the CTSF environment and present an algorithm for the proposed method. To show the process of the proposed method, we present an example related to diagnosing the COVID-19. Besides this, we present a sensitivity analysis to reveal the advantages and restrictions of our method.

The study addresses the use of the Semantic Web and Linked Data principles proposed by the World Wide Web Consortium for the development of Web application for semantic management of scanned documents. The main goal is to record scanned documents describing them in a way the machine is able to understand and process them, filtering content and assisting us in searching for such documents when a decision-making process is in course. To this end, machine-understandable metadata, created through the use of reference Linked Data ontologies, are associated to documents, creating a knowledge base. To further enrich the process, (semi)automatic mashup of these metadata with data from the new Web of Linked Data is carried out, considerably increasing the scope of the knowledge base and enabling to extract new data related to the content of stored documents from the Web and combine them, without the user making any effort or perceiving the complexity of the whole process.

The subject of this paper is to evaluate criteria in the decision-making process for choosing new usable office facilities in light of a big company or public service seeking for new usable office facilities. The criteria defining the requirements for individual selection variants enter into this decision-making process. These criteria have qualitative and quantitative characters. In order to model the criteria, it is desirable that their values are standardized. The method of standardization of these criteria is given in this paper. In this paper, attention is paid to the decision-making process in the course of choosing new usable facilities in administration objects. This decision-making process is based on input data analyses and on conclusions for a certain selection variant resulting from them.

Tourism is one of the activities carried out by humans that has a purpose as entertainment. Human who travel are referred to as tourist. West Sumatra Province is one of the regions with the best tourism is sea tourism and land tourism. Marine tourism consists of beach tourism, island tourism and lake tourism, while mainland tourism consists of tourist panorama, mountain tours, hill tours and others. However, only a portion of West Sumatra's tourist attractions are known to tourists, because of this information is obtained so that there are still many tourist attractions in West Sumatra unknown to tourists from outside the West Sumatra region. To overcome this problem, a system is needed that can be used to support the electoral decision-making process in West Sumatra. This system is built on the Web, using the PHP programming language and Laravel Framework and MySQL as a Database. The method used in this system is the Elimination of Et Choix Traduisant la Realite (ELECTRE). The use of Elimination Et Choix Traduisant la REalite (ELECTRE) can help provide information in West Sumatra, which is in accordance with the wishes of tourists according to the specified criteria. With the help of this system, the information obtained will make it easier for tourists to find tourist attractions.
