This paper is about to find out whether there is a significant difference between teaching reading comprehension of narrative text by using the Herringbone Technique (HT) and the Context clues strategy to the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Padangsidimpuan or not.And the number of sample in this research is 70 students. They are divided into 35 students who are taught by using the Herringbone Technique and 35 students are taught by using the Context clues strategy. In order to get the needed data, the writer applies the library and field research. And as the instrument for collecting the data from the field the writer uses the written test. After getting the data, the next step which is done by the writer is analyzing it by using the statistical analysis which is the formulation of t-test.

The research aims at finding out the influence of Word Chain Game in increasing the students’ vocabulary with two research objectives. This research was conducted at MTs Barana Jeneponto Regency in Academic Year 2018/2019. In this research, the population was 60 students in the eighth grade. The sample was 40 students. There were 20 students in Class VIII A as experimental class and 20 students in VIII B as controlled class. The research applied non equivalent control grup design. The instrument used to collect the data was writing test, in fill in the blank form. The result of the data analysis indicated that there was a significant improvement in the students’ vocabulary after being taught using Word Chain Game. It was proved by the result of the statistical analysis of the level significance P = 0.05 with degree of freedom (df) = 38 indicated that the t-test values of the students’ vocabulary (2.492) was higher than t-table value (2.042). Therefore, word chain game also gives opportunities for the development of teachers, learners, and learning itself. Those opportunities can increase students’ motivation and responsibility, a student-centered approach based on individualization, and also accepting the new and dynamic learner's and teacher's roles.

This study aims to know the influence of active learning model Course Review Horay to biology learning outcomes at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Batam academic year 2013/2014. This research design is randomized experiment using posttest only control-group design. The study population is all the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Batam with reached population consist of 7 classes. The sampling technique using a simple random sampling. Samples were selected class VIII5 as control class and VIII8 as experiment class. The instrument that use in this research is the form of the test. Requirement have been in the form of normality and homogeneity test, which showed that normal and homogeneous data. Technique of data analysis conducted by the t test. The result analysis of data using the t test showed the tvalue 3.01 and ttable is 2.00 (tvalue > ttable). The results showed that the active learning result model Course Review Horay give effect to increase student learning outcomes from the average of the experimental class 82,57 and control class 76,04. Thus, the hypothesis put forward acceptable significance level (α = 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that the using of active learning model Course Review Horay influential on learning outcomes of biology at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Batam. Keywords: Course Review Horay, Biology Learning Outcomes.

This research aims to: (1) find out the differences in mathematical literacy skills of students using the DLPS learning model and those using conventional learning models, (2) find out the differences in students' mathematical literacy skills in terms of verbal skills of students, (3) to find out the interaction of the DLPS learning model in terms of students' verbal skills on mathematical literacy skills of students. The research approach uses a quantitative approach with the type of quasi-experimental research and design of Factorial design 3 x 2. The population in this study is all eighth grade students of MTs Muhammadiyah Kampung Baru with the total is 48 people. The sample in this study is the eight-grade A as a control class while the eight grade B is as an experimental class. The instrument used in this study is a test of students 'mathematical literacy skills in the form of pretest and posttest and questionnaires to measure students' verbal skills. The data analysis technique used are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The result shows that: (1) there is a difference between the application of the DLPS learning model and the conventional model on the mathematical literacy skills of students, (2) there is a difference in students' mathematical literacy skill in terms of vebal skill of students, and (3) there is no interaction effect between the DLPS learning model in terms of verbal skill to mathematical literacy skills of students

This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning models and studentlearning styles on the results of learning Social Sciences. Conventional learning models thatrely on reading books, multiplying practice exercises, teacher explanations in the classroom, students are expected to be more diligent in practicing questions suspected of influencingsocial studies learning outcomes. Conventional models are considered to be less than optimal, because basically students will easily feel bored because they have to open sheets per sheetby understanding the contents of the book and listening to the teacher's explanation in frontof the class verbally. This study uses an experimental comparison method containing activities planned and carriedout by researchers, 2x2 factorial design in this study to find out whether there are differencesin social studies learning outcomes between students who obtain learning with cooperativelearning models and students who obtain conventional learning. The population in this studywere all eighth grade students of Al-Kamil Middle School Islamic Boarding School in CianjurRegency, West Java. Affordable population there are eighth grade students of Al-KamilMiddle School Islamic Boarding School District. Cianjur numbered 120 students. The resultsof this study indicate that there is an interaction effect between learning models and learningstyles on the results of social studies learning at Al-Kamil Middle School Islamic BoardingSchool. Learning outcomes of students who have independent learning styles and followcooperative learning models are higher than students' learning outcomes that followconventional learning models. Likewise the learning outcomes of students who havedependent learning styles and follow cooperative learning models are higher than students'learning outcomes that follow conventional learning models
