Purpose. Defining the level of emotional intelligence of students - prospective physiotherapists and physical education teachers. Material and method. The study was conducted amongst students of University School of Physical Education in Wrocław: There were 134 students from Physiotherapy Department and 254 students of Physical Education Department tested. In the research the tool to diagnose emotional intelligence was used: Emotional Intelligence Scale by Matczak et al. Results. In assessing the level of emotional intelligence the differences between students groups were pointed out due to their field of study and gender. Average emotional intelligence for all groups was at the moderate level although prospective teachers reached higher scores. Students of Physiotherapy and subjects constituting the control group showed lower level of studies parameter and the results were similar. Different levels of emotional intelligence are also visible in the results obtained by women and men. Women in each group receive higher scores than men. Conclusions. Emotional competencies of the subjects are at the moderate and low level, which is not a satisfactory result. Higher predispositions should be expected of people who choose teaching or physiotherapist professions, because it is required by specificity of the work they intend to carry on. Therefore, it seems necessary to pay special attention to the development of these competencies in the course of the study.

For teaching profession, one of the important types of intelligence is emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence levels of especially physical education teachers are expected to be high. The aim of this study is to examine emotional intelligence levels of physical education and sports teachers based on various variables. In this research, single screening model which is one of the General Survey models has been adopted. Population of the study consists of 320 Physical Education Teachers working in Ağrı in 2018-2019 academic years and its sample group consists of a total of 106 physical education teachers, of which 23 are female and 83 are male and who were selected from this population by random sampling method. “Personal Information Form” developed by researchers has been used in order to determine demographic characteristics of Physical Education Teachers, “Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale” developed by Schutte et al. (1998) has been used in order to measure their emotional intelligence levels. According to findings, it has been seen that emotional intelligence levels of physical education teachers differentiate significantly in favor of physical education and sports teachers do not have administrative function in sub-dimension of utilizations of emotions according to administrative function variable. It has been determined that there is no significant difference between them according to gender, age and professional experience, education grade which is worked in, educational level, marital status, status of doing sports and smoking variables. Consequently, it is seen that emotional intelligence levels of physical education teachers are above medium level and there is no difference between them in terms of other variables except variable of having administrative function.

Abstract The behaviours gained in graduate education should be used in their professional life. As a result of the literature review, it is concluded that physical education teachers have problems in transferring knowledge in their professional competence. The opinions of physical education teachers about the education they received at the university are important in terms of investigating the source of this problem. Anatomy is about the body. The achievements of the anatomy course and the applicability of these gains are very important. This research was conducted with last year students studying at the physical education department at the university. 48 pre-service teachers who took the Anatomy course, studying in the physical education department, participated in the research. Researchers were selected based on volunteerism. The qualitative research method was used in the research and the findings were supported by content analysis. 4 open-ended questions prepared by the researcher were prepared by taking expert opinions. The results obtained from the research show that the anatomy course is important for physical education, and the behaviours to be gained in this course will have to be used frequently in professional life. Again, it was concluded that explaining the anatomy course content as applied while preparing it will facilitate their learning. As a result of the results obtained from this research, the anatomy course taught in universities is an important course for the physical education profession. The method applied for the problems experienced in this course can be changed technically. In the anatomy course, which includes theory and practice, practice can eliminate the problems experienced. Keywords: physical education, anatomy, professional competence, usability, human structure, training program

This study aims to assess the social intelligence of prospective teachers in relation to gender, stream, and emotional intelligence. Initial sample of the study consisted of 400 prospective teachers on which Rogan Emotional Intelligence Test (REIT) developed and standardized by Zainuddin (2005) and Social Intelligence Scale developed and standardized by Chadha and Ganeshan (2009) were administered. The sampled teachers were categorized into two extreme groups on the basis of emotional intelligence scores. Finally, the sample consisted of 136 prospective teachers i.e. 68 of each gender as well as 68 of each stream of teacher education. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was applied for data analysis. Significant differences were found in their social intelligence on the basis of their emotional intelligence. However, no significant differences were observed in the social intelligence of prospective teachers on the basis of their gender and stream.

The aim of the research was to investigate the effectiveness of a computer based on photoshop in design and decoration and its impact on emotional intelligence among children in the age group (11-17 years). To achieve the research objectives, the researchers chose the quasi-experimental design with equal groups, the control group and the experimental group. The sample size was (44) students, (14) males and (30) females, who were chosen by random stratification method from the middle and high school levels in Jazan region in the age group (11-17). They were distributed into two equal groups (22) students for each of the control and experimental group. The researchers used the Bar-On scale for emotional intelligence in addition to the training program. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program was used for analyzing data. The two-tailed T-Test was chosen to detect the differences between the binary groups and the univariate analysis. Variation: to detect differences between the interaction groups and the post-LSD test to determine the direction of the differences between groups of variable interaction (group x application). The research reached the following results: there are statistically significant differences in the average scores of children of age (11-17 years) on the emotional intelligence scale pre and post the application of the program, and there are statistically significant differences in the average performance of the experimental group on the emotional intelligence scale due to gender, and there are significant differences statistical differences in the average performance of the experimental group on the emotional intelligence scale due to age, and there are statistically significant differences in the average scores of 11-17 year old children on the emotional intelligence scale between the groups of variables of program application and type of education.

The article examines the effectiveness of interdisciplinary integration in the training of future physical education teachers. The purpose of the article is to test the effectiveness of interdisciplinary integration in the training of future teachers of physical education. Research methodology includes: empirical methods: observations, questionnaires, pedagogical experiment is for checking the effectiveness of interdisciplinary integration in the training of future teachers of physical education; methods of mathematical statistics are for processing the results of experimental work. Analysis of the effectiveness of the implementation of interdisciplinary integration in the training of future teachers of physical education is based on a certain system of standards: pedagogical orientation, independence and professional maturity, which we used to diagnose their development by those activities that included students of the experimental group. After analyzing the data, it was found that students of the control and experimental groups have significant differences on such scales as: awareness, decision-making, planning and communication; as well as a positive trend on the scales: mnemonic, volitional and mental. According to the study, it can be said that future physical education teachers of the experimental group are more knowledgeable and confident in choosing their profession, they more rationally and adequately assess the situation and plan their future more thoughtfully than students in the control group.

The purpose of this study was to compare the teaching process interaction behavior of teachers who planned for classes with those who did not plan. Senior physical education majors served as the teaching subjects for this study—six in the planning (experimental) group and six in the no-plan (control) group. Each teacher taught the same lesson content for a 15-minute episode. The planning group spent 1 hour before the lesson writing explicit plans, while the control group was given 2 minutes just before the lesson to gather their thoughts and be informed of the content to be covered. The behaviors of all teachers were observed by the Cheffers Adaptation of the Flanders’ Interaction Analysis System (CAFIAS). The results indicated significant differences in only two interaction categories: amount of directions given and the amount of silence. Both variables were better for the planning group.
