The purpose of this study is to reveal the objective conditions and characteristics of Islamic boarding school management as a model of community-based education in Bengkulu City. This study uses a qualitative approach, the method used is a single instrumental case study. The data collection process used (1) in-depth interviews, (2) participatory observation, and (3) documentation study. The data analysis technique is domain analysis by focusing on terms, semantic relationships, and the phrases they cover. The results and research findings show that Islamic boarding school management as a model of community-based education in Bengkulu City needs to be addressed regarding management according to good and correct management principles, which have been using full authority and top leader charisma. Given that Islamic boarding school is a type of community-based education, the application of management must pay attention to the aspects of management that apply to community-based education.   Keywords: management, community-based education, Islamic boarding school

Objective: The study's primary goal was to uncover the reality of organizational agility in emerging universities. It also aimed to determine the statistical variances between the mean scores of the sample used in the axes of the organizational agility questionnaire for these universities. The main variables used are gender, academic position, and years of experience. Methodology: The study utilized the descriptive method. The data collection process entailed handing out questionnaires to a sample of seven hundred and forty-seven faculty members in Jazan, Bishah, Hafar Al-Batin, Shaqraa, and Najran Universities. Results: Emerging universities regularly practice organizational agility in light of the emerging coronavirus with high flexibility at moderate costs. The study's results also indicated mathematically substantial variances at the degree of viability between the male sample's average and the female sample's average in favor of the female sample in the timing and the flexibility of practices. It also indicated statistically significant variances at the degree of significance between the mean scores of the research sample, attributed to the difference in the academic position in the timing, flexibility, and cost of practices.  Keywords: Coronavirus, Degree of variability Emerging universities, Organizational agility, Strategy,

The purpose was to investigate the Arabic language teachers' perspectives on online VC effectiveness during and beyond COVID-19.  Participants were 340 teachers. This study employed cross-sectional descriptive method, with the main focus on Arabic Language teachers' perspectives on online VC effectiveness during and beyond COVID-19. Findings from descriptive analysis of the teachers’ responses on the importance of using virtual classrooms in distance education program shoed that the rank agree comes first, where teachers responded with agree in 17 items, 2 with strongly agree and only one item for disagree.  Using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), findings showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample towards the use of virtual classrooms by gender, while academic qualification and years of experience contributed significantly, where those with higher qualification, and who are experts had positive perspectives   on online VCs effectiveness during and beyond COVID-19. This study aims to integrate the local wisdom of the traditional engklek game into problem-solving-based mathematics learning at the elementary school level. The method used in this study is a mixed-method with an explanatory design. The data analysis technique used in this study was random sampling and data collection was carried out by distributing observation sheets about student process skills, student learning interest questionnaires and conducting interviews with students and teachers at the school. Based on the results obtained by the researchers, it can be found that there is interest in learning and skills of students in grades IV A and IV B in the engklek game in mathematics subjects at State Elementary Schools. In addition, there is a relationship between students' interest in learning and students' process skills in mathematics subjects at State Elementary Schools. Previous studies have revealed the benefits of character and meaning in life for individual well-being. However, little research has been conducted on elementary and junior high school teachers who teach students between the ages of 10-15 years (late childhood and early adolescence) in Indonesia. This study aims to explore teachers’ perceptions about character, meaning in life, and well-being. Interviews were conducted among 20 teachers. Our findings revealed that according to the teachers, the lessons and assessments in character education are well designed. However, coordination within the school community and with parents as well as specific roles between teachers and parents in building students’ character, meaning, and well-being needs to be improved. What teachers understood about meaning in life corresponds with the results of previous studies. Teachers’ understanding of well-being concept is still limited. They acknowledged family background, socioeconomic status, popularity, and academic achievement as important factors in students’ well-being.   Keywords: character; meaning in life; well-being; teachers; children; adolescents

The purpose of this research is to improve the competence of teachers in teaching multi-literacy through a training programme based on the Read–Answer–Discuss–Explain–Create (RADEC) learning model. This descriptive qualitative study was conducted in a private primary school in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The participants included were a teacher and 29 students (17 male and 12 female students, with an average age of 11 years). Documentations, observations and interviews were used as data collection. The data were analysed quantitatively and through the Rasch model. The results show that mentoring during the implementation of the RADEC model can increase teachers’ knowledge of multi-literacy learning and teachers’ skills in planning and implementing the RADEC model. It can be concluded that the RADEC learning model contributes to a positive change in student learning, promotes 21st-century skills and includes multi-literacy skills. Thus, trainers can use the RADEC learning model to enhance teachers’ ability in teaching multi-literacy.           Keywords: Multi-literacy, RADEC model, teachers’ competence

This study is aimed to investigate students’ perceptions towards the mDPBL approach as a multimedia-based learning approach. mDPBL approach is a combination of two different teaching approaches (i.e. DIA and PBL) with multimedia. Two departments were selected in this study (i.e. Informatics Engineering and Information System). The survey was divided into two phases, pre-survey and post-survey. 276 students participated in this study. The quasi-experiment method was used with two different ways teaching strategies (i.e. traditional and mDPBL approach). The study revealed that the majority of students have a positive impact on positive learning outcomes in the mDPBL approach. A significant increase in students' perceptions of the effectiveness of the mDPBL approach is proven by an increase in the average score of students' perceptions and perceived effectiveness of 2.67 points or 8.71%, respectively. As a kind of sport, wrestling is characterized by a complex compositional nature of preparing, which requires equal attention to the development of the physical and functional qualities of an athlete. The aim of the study is to optimize the mode and algorithm of training loads of a competitive nature in the period of preparation. The effectiveness of the training process was evaluated by functional indices and blood lactate level not only at the end of training load, but also in the recovery period. In the process of the study also, pedagogical analysis was carried out, anthropometric parameters and analysis of body components were determined. The results of the study indicate the need for regular monitoring of the regime of loads in order to timely correction of the training process, taking into account the individual characteristics of wrestlers at the stage of pre-competition preparing. This study aims to determine the effect of the PBL model with argumentation scaffolding on changes in the critical thinking of teacher candidates’ teachers in terms of personality type and gender. This research is quasi-experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. 28 prospective teachers who take the algebraic structure course are the samples of this study. Critical thinking skills scores were analysed descriptively and statistically with normality test and paired t-test. The results showed that the application of PBL with argumentation scaffolding was effective in increasing the critical thinking of prospective teachers from the criteria of "less critical" to "critical enough" and the n-gain results were categorized as moderate when viewed from the aspect of personality type. and gender. The existence of differences in critical thinking that is influenced by gender and personality type is a research finding that must be considered to determine the learning model.          Keywords: Problem-based learning, gender, critical thinking, personality type

The current study aimed to identify the epistemological beliefs of secondary school teachers in light of their teaching practices. The researchers applied the qualitative approach based on the method of grounded theory. Data were collected through classroom observations, interview sheets and focus groups. Having determined the credibility and reliability of the instruments, the data were thoroughly read, and analysed using the topology data model. Results indicated the participants' responses converged in the dimension of the nature and certainty of knowledge, the dimension of knowledge acquisition and in the speed of knowledge acquisition, while responses varied in the dimension of the concept of epistemological beliefs, the dimension of the sources of epistemological beliefs and the factors in their formation, and in the dimension of knowledge authority. The study highlighted the importance of integrating epistemological beliefs in teachers' qualification programmes to practise such beliefs in the classroom environment.   Keywords: Epistemological Beliefs, Teaching Practices, Secondary School Teachers
