Structure of the anterior teeth after endodontic treatment usually become weak because of the extensive loss of toothstructure. It causes a big problem to an endodontically treatment tooth when considering its restoration, examplereduced strength of the remaining tooth structure. Restoration that covers the tooth crown can be used if aesthetic andfunctional problems factors have been considered. However, composite resins are also often the treatment of choice forthe restoration of endodontically treated tooth. In this literature review, it will be discussed the selection of the properrestoration of the anterior teeth that have been endodontically treated.

ABSTRACT An endodontically treated anterior tooth requires extracoronal restoration when the tooth structure is weakened or lost due to caries, endodontic treatment, placement of previous restorations and/or is discolored. The reduced tooth structure makes retention of extracoronal restoration difficult. The purpose of post is to provide retention for the core restoration, which replaces lost coronal structure. This article describes restoration of mutilated maxillary central incisors by using cast post and core, followed with porcelain fused to metal restorations. A tooth can be broken due to many reasons, out of which deep cervical caries can be the one leading to destruction of the whole buccal surface of the tooth. So, to preserve such kind of tooth, root canal treatment is the ultimate treatment option followed by proper selection of the restorative means of such endodontically treated tooth. endodontically treated tooth (ETT) has loss of tooth structure and changes in physical characteristics. Therefore, proper selection of restoration for ETT is mandatory to maintain almost the same level of strength and regaining its functional abilities. The decision of doing restoration of endodontically treated teeth depends on many factors like the amount of tooth structure remaining, condition of the opposing tooth, etc. In cases of less than 50 % tooth structure remaining post and core followed by crown is the best treatment option. This article showcases a case report of treatment of anterior teeth with deep cervical caries. The posts used in these cases were fiber post which were luted and the core build up was done with ParaCore, which is a glassreinforced composite by Coltene. Deep cervical caries can lead to destruction of the whole buccal surface of the tooth. So, to preserve such kind of tooth, root canal treatment followed by proper selection of restoration for endodontically treated tooth is mandatory to maintain almost the same level of strength and to regain its functional abilities. This article showcases a case report of treatment of anterior teeth with deep cervical caries.

Introduction. Knowledge of root canal morphology is one of the main prerequisites for successful endodontic treatment. We present the case of a patient with multiple canals in lower anterior teeth which were treated endodontically. Case Report. To a 45-year-old patient endodontic treatment was applied on lower left lateral incisor, lower right central and lateral incisor and lower right canine. These teeth were previously prepared for prosthetic crowns. All involved teeth had two canals which were not visible on the primary radiographs. Gracility of remaining tooth structure and canals and the presence of two canals in each tooth required additional radiographs for verification of multiple canals. Careful biomechanical instrumentation and irrigation with use of lubrication due to narrow canals was performed. The canals were obturated with gutta-percha using lateral compaction technique and Acroseal (Septodont) paste. On the control checkup after eight months, the patient was asymptomatic, while clinical finding was normal. Conclusion. Complexity of presented case was even more significant because these teeth were prepared to support prosthetic superstructure and crowns, and every ?forgotten? canal is an iatrogenic error.

Teeth veneering using composite resins are a conservative approach to improve aesthetics of patient. Due to the advancements in material science and improved clinical techniques, it has been made possible to meet the aesthetic needs of the patient. Ceramic-based laminate veneers are very popular to improve the patients smile and newer materials such as zirconia are now being used to fabricate restorations to achieve desirable results. Restoring teeth using conventional techniques i.e. crowns is a very popular method however; may require elective endodontic therapy, which may result in additional loss of tooth structure and could contribute to increased clinical costs. Adhesive dentistry allows us to replicate of the originality of the teeth and preservation of almost all dental tissues. Adhesive dentistry has seen many progresses during the last decade. In the light of least-invasive dentistry, this approach for restorting teeth has allowed the clinicians to perform much more conservative cavity design preparations. The technique relies upon the effectiveness of current enamel-dentine adhesives that have undergone many advances themselves. Indirect techniques as compared to direct techniques offer several advantages and when used effectively, results in better patient satisfaction. The short descriptive review focuses on composite veneering materials, which may be used directly or indirectly, to achieve better aesthetic outcomes. The data was collected through a comprehensive search using the keywords, “Aesthetic Dentistry; Adhesive Dentistry; Composites; Veneering” from PubMed, Medline and Google Scholar, from 2000 to 2019.

Crown-lengthening procedures are necessary to rehabilitate supracrestal insertion tissue and to guarantee a suitable dental restoration. The objective of this article was to report a surgical extrusion procedure as a treatment option for a fractured anterior tooth. A 24-year-old male patient presented to our department to rehabilitate his maxillary right lateral incisor. The tooth was fractured due to a trauma and presented a healthy periodontium. Endodontic treatment was performed before the surgical extrusion. A fixed crown was cemented after complete reduction of tooth mobility after 6 months. No complication was observed at 6 months post-operatively. A minimally traumatic surgical extrusion technique provided highly successful results in both functional and esthetic aspects, especially in the anterior region, where the latter is of great interest.

SUMMARYWith a wide variety of post systems and materials available for the restoration of lost tooth structure of endodontically treated teeth, the clinical decision of which to use constitutes a challenge to dental practitioners. Cast metal post and cores are widely used for restoring endodontically treated teeth with extensive loss of coronal tooth structure and to retain metal-ceramic crowns. When dental aesthetics is of primary concern, the selection of the underlying restorative material becomes an important factor to consider. The fibre-reinforced posts combined with all-ceramic crowns offer a highly aesthetic outcome in anterior region restorations, but longterm evaluation is necessary in order to assess their clinical performance and longevity.The purpose of this paper was to present and compare 2 restorative options with regard to materials (cast metallic post and core versus prefabricated fibre post and composite resin core) for the prosthetic rehabilitation of cases with inadequate aesthetic appearance or fractured maxillary anterior teeth. Furthermore, the article reviews the main indications, advantages, and disadvantages from the use of the 2 post types combined with the final restorations, in order to allow the dental practitioner make the selection of appropriate restorative materials.

Abstract Aim The purpose of this case report is to describe the re-attachment of an anterior tooth fragment using a selfetching adhesive. Background Fracture of anterior teeth by trauma is a common problem in children and teenagers due to their active lifestyle. Restoration of these teeth often presents a challenge because of the large pulp in young teeth and open apical foramen depending on the age of the child. New dental adhesive materials offer an alternative solution for the treatment of some anterior tooth fractures. Report A 17-year-old female patient presented for treatment of a fractured maxillary left central incisor. The clinical examination revealed the exposure of dentin, but there was no exposure of the pulp. The patient saved the tooth fragment making it available for re-attachment to the remaining tooth structure. Under local anesthesia and rubber dam isolation the tooth fragment was re-attached using a self-etching adhesive and a microhybrid composite. Summary The re-attached tooth fragment was assessed clinically, radiographically, and using photographs at one, six, 12, 24, and 36 month intervals. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of laser therapy in post-operative sensitivity by Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) to the 57 patients after restoration with two different resins composite. In the first group (28 patients, 30 teeth) it was restored the cavity class I Black with micro-hybrid composite Filtek Z250 - Adper Single Bond (3M/ESPE). In the second group (29 patients, 30 teeth) it was restored the cavity class III Black with nano-hybrid composite Ceram X One Sphere Tec-Prime and Bond One (Etch&Rinse) (Dentsply). The restorative treatments were performed by the same practitioner on posterior and anterior teeth diagnosed with mid-sized chronic carious lesions. Total etch (etch and rinse) strategy of adhesion was used for both composite resins. The laser treatment was performed in 2 sessions at 48 hours and after 7 days, for both study groups using laser Whitening Lase II (DMC Dental). Mean scores for VAS indices decreased significantly at 48 hours and 7 days, following laser treatment for all the investigated parameters (materials, sex, age) (p [ 0.05).

The European Commission has recently adopted the Renovation Wave Strategy, aiming at the improvement of the energy performance of buildings. The strategy aims to at least double renovation rates in the next ten years and make sure that renovations lead to higher energy and resource efficiency. The choice of appropriate thermal insulation materials is one of the simplest and, at the same time, the most popular strategies that effectively reduce the energy demand of buildings. Today, the spectrum of insulation materials is quite wide, and each material has its own specific characteristics. It is recognized that the selection of materials is one of the most challenging and difficult steps of a building project. This paper aims to give an in-depth view of existing multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) applications for the selection of insulation materials and to provide major insights in order to simplify the process of methods and criteria selection for future research. A systematic literature review is performed based on the Search, Appraisal, Synthesis and Analysis (SALSA) framework and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement. In order to determine which MCDM method is the most appropriate for different questions, the main advantages and disadvantages of different methods are provided.
