The aim of the study was to demonstrate diagnostic informativity of the anthropophysiological and systemic approach to hemodynamic identification of circulatory syndromes in heart failure (HF). Methods. Anthropophysiological diagnostics of the cardiovascular system (CVS) was performed using a hardware-software complex created by us on the basis of rheography. Results. Based on the used diagnostic algorithm, essential circulatory HF syndromes were identified by arterial (perfusion) and venous insufficiency in the systemic and pulmonary circulation, age, sex, and postural features of the HF syndrome manifestations. Conclusion. Perfusion forms of HF prevailed in all age groups. Furthermore, manifestations of circulatory HF syndromes were much more pronounced in the standing body position.

There was executed the comparative study of functional indices of the cardiovascular system in adolescent boys aged of 13-16 years, residing in the city of Magadan (n=424) and Moscow (n=437). The recording of functional indices of hemodynamics in adolescents was made by the same method of the volumetric compression oscillometry method with the use of hardware-software complex “Globus” for the noninvasive study of central hemodynamics (“Globus”, Belgorod). There were revealed regional features of the dynamics of the development of the function of the cardiovascular system in adolescents residing under different climatic geographical and ecological conditions. There were established statistically reliable differences in hemodynamic indices during the age period of 13-15 years: Moscow schoolchildren have higher values of the blood pressure, cardiac output, stroke volume and left ventricular stroke power comparing with Magadan counterparts. In Magadan adolescents there was revealed the tendency towards higher values of heart rate. The analysis of the distribution of hemodynamics indices according to the type of self-regulation of blood-circulation shows 63.7% of schoolchildren of Magadan and Moscow to have cardiotype, 26.9% and 41.2% of adolescents are characterized by cardiovascular type, and vascular type is a common feature in 9.4% and 14.4% of examined adolescents.

Here was investigated the dynamics of indices of the functional state of the cardiovascular system in students during the educational load, followed by cold inhalation of lavender oil. The study was executed twice: before and after aromatherapy. For the evaluation of the functional capabilities of the cardiovascular system the registration and analysis of ECG were performed by means of the method of variation pulsometry with the use of the hardware-software complex, including portable electrocardiograph brand “Bio-Arm 001”, a personal computer with the software for automatic recording and analysis of ECG. In the experimental situation for each subject there were analyzed five-minutes ECG records. There were investigated statistical, histographical, integral and spectral parameters of the cardiac rhythm. Psychosomatic status of students was assessed by individual survey. The analysis of dynamic characteristics of heart rate variability showed that after the half-hour education load (the warming-up period) in the majority of the students there was observed the exertion of regulatory mechanisms of the heart rhythm. The preventive use of lavender ethereal oil contributes to the enhancement of adaptive capabilities of the body of students, optimization of regulatory mechanisms, and increased tolerance of the body to psycho-emotional loads. Against the background of the impact of lavender ethereal oil the adaptation to the training loads is running via the parasympathetic (more economical) type of regulation of the cardiovascular system of the body. Correcting influence of the odor of aromatic oils on the functional condition of the body may be caused to the fact that the perception of odors and treatment of olfactory information involves the most important parts of the brain: frontal cortex, hypothalamus, amygdala, a brain structure, limbic reticular structures et al., referred to morphological and functional substrates of emotional reactions.

Abstract In the elderly population, pathological inflammation has been associated with ageing-associated diseases. The term ‘inflammageing’, which was used for the first time by Franceschi and co-workers in 2000, is associated with the chronic, low-grade, subclinical inflammatory processes coupled to biological ageing. The source of these inflammatory processes is debated. The senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) has been proposed as the main origin of inflammageing. The SASP is characterised by the release of inflammatory cytokines, elevated activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome, altered regulation of acetylcholine (ACh) nicotinic receptors, and abnormal NAD+ metabolism. Therefore, SASP may be ‘druggable’ by small molecule therapeutics targeting those emerging molecular targets. It has been shown that inflammageing is a hallmark of various cardiovascular diseases, including atherosclerosis, hypertension, and adverse cardiac remodelling. Therefore, the pathomechanism involving SASP activation via the NLRP3 inflammasome; modulation of NLRP3 via α7 nicotinic ACh receptors; and modulation by senolytics targeting other proteins have gained a lot of interest within cardiovascular research and drug development communities. In this review, which offers a unique view from both clinical and preclinical target-based drug discovery perspectives, we have focused on cardiovascular inflammageing and its molecular mechanisms. We have outlined the mechanistic links between inflammageing, SASP, interleukin (IL)-1β, NLRP3 inflammasome, nicotinic ACh receptors, and molecular targets of senolytic drugs in the context of cardiovascular diseases. We have addressed the ‘druggability’ of NLRP3 and nicotinic α7 receptors by small molecules, as these proteins represent novel and exciting targets for therapeutic interventions targeting inflammageing in the cardiovascular system and beyond.
