The methodology developed by the authors refers to designing, calculating, and optimising transport nodes based on the original systemic approach as a main method. The use of the methodology will make it possible to design transport nodes more rationally and to evaluate their development projects more correctly.A «system» is understood as a general natural form of structuring organised substance, which enables it to function stably in a changeable environment. The basic principles are formulated as follows: the system consists of elements, each of which is also a system; active self-maintenance is developed in the system, that is, active actions are counteracting external adverse influences; it is shown that self-maintenance is provided by adaptability, and in transport systems the self-maintenance is particularly provided by adaptive technology.A contradiction (a dialectical one) arises: on the one hand, the elements are independent systems that have their own system parameters and mechanisms for their active maintenance, and on the other hand, they are subordinate creatures capable of flexibly changing their work to maintain the parameters of the supersystem. It is necessary to find harmony between the levels of development of these opposite properties. Transport nodes are also considered from these systemic positions. Exposition of several definitions of nodes by leading national scientists is followed by a statement showing that they all contradict the new systemic approach.Suggested system definition of a node describes it as a set of stations. The authors also propose a new classification of transport nodes, formulate criteria for their rational design depending on the classes, and propose correct design and optimisation principles.

Indigenous trans-systemic approach is a lifelong unlearning and relearning process, with no endpoint. Indigenous peoples have long called for decolonizing minds so as to support self-determination, challenge colonial practices, and value Indigenous cultural identity and pride in being Indigenous peoples. Indigenous trans-systemic approach is also a political standpoint toward valuing and revitalizing Indigenous knowledge and methodologies while weeding out colonizer biases or assumptions that have impacted Indigenous ways of knowing, doing, and being. Drawing from Indigenous Participatory Action Research (IPAR), I explained how I learned the meanings of trans-systematic knowledge from Indigenous Elders and Knowledge-keepers.

The paper is an attempt to explore systemic approach to accidents analysis within sociotechnical organization. Unsafe behaviors can result in systemic failures and accidents. The research data came from within an industrial radiography organization where radiation source is used to detect cracks or hidden flaws within machinery and welding joints. The radioactive source can cause severe detrimental effects, even death, if not used safely. This paper is on two isolated events happen in the same company, Industrial Services Private Limited (not real name). The company top management was dealing with the financial crisis and to maintain quality of its services and the safety of staff. The leadership of the company made several business and operational decisions to manage the financial crisis. During that time, several near miss incidents took place, but the first major incident took place when the radiography gamma projector, along with the radioactive source, fallen out of the vehicle because of improper back door closure of the vehicle. In the second incident, the radioactive source remained unshielded after a radiography job, this caused overexposure to radiography workers. The paper provides an opportunity to understand how an organization’s leadership can create conditions for errors and mistakes that result in poor safety culture and ultimately the accident which resulted the system failure and operation shutdown. The paper also tries to propose a conceptual framework to improve safety culture within the sociotechnical systems for the future research in this area.

A rigorous description of the systematic approach to the most developed ergatic systems and a unified procedure for the study and construction of systems based on general systemic principles and postulates are presented. The adaptation of the general procedure for the systemic approach for the agricultural sector and its application to the analysis of the implemented programs of digitalization of agriculture are provided.

As to the conceptualisation of any one institution, the apparently identical notional term can cover four types of institutional systems: (1) the actually existing concrete system, which is a unit that functions as it is (e.g., constitutional system of liberalism as practised in a given area in a given time, e.g., in the United States nowadays); (2) the historically developed concrete system which is a unit that functions as it has been (e.g., constitutional system of liberalism as practised in a given area in a given period, e.g., in the United States since the time it developed); (3) the generalisation of the historically concrete systems as developed in our civilisation (e.g., the constitutional system of liberalism as known and practised in our civilisation); and (4) the core idea of the functioning underlying all kinds of generalisation (e.g., the abstract universal formulation of the ultimate principles of operation, of which the constitutional system of liberalism is but one of the theoretically possible forms of realisation). Within a quasi monographic analysis of them, both their role as a normative ideology and their actual objectivity and contingency are treated.

Abstract The study is devoted to the problem of transforming the formed spatial system within the boundaries of the planning element. As a result of the analysis of the study area, the author identifies a number of basic problems of planning and development of an urbanized space, the elimination of which is possible when using the methods of renovating the housing stock. The author examines the compliance of the existing regulatory framework of the proposed method with modern requirements for the implementation of life, identifies the key aspects of changing the content of urban planning documentation of an element of the planning structure in the direction of the integrated development of the territory, and also describes the mechanism for implementing a systemic approach in the formation of a renovated spatial system.

In order to obtain safe and high quality dairy products, fermented dairy processors implement and maintain procedures based on HACCP principles, which are based on a systemic approach to risks and corrective measures to eliminate any potential risk associated with food safety. The aim of this study was to use tools to analyze hazard, risk assessment and determine critical control points during the production process of buttermilk with mushrooms as an innovative product. The safety control system for fermented dairy products based on HACCP concepts, involves a systemic approach to risks and corrective measures to eliminate any potential risk associated with food safety.
