Abstrak— Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola trafik internet pada beberapa lokasi yang diteliti. Pengamatan dilakukan selama dua belas (12) bulan. Data diolah dengan metode statistika untuk mendapatkan proyeksi pengguna internet dan kebutuhan titik hotspot. Penelitian menghasilkan rekomendasi kebutuhan hotspot dengan mempertimbangkan mobilitas pengguna internet dan countur lokasi. Rekomendasi perangkat berbeda pada tiap lokasi dari sisi geografis dan padatnya area. Line of Sight mempengaruhi kemampuan perangkat dalam memancarkan signal internet.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan pengguna internet pada hari raya umat Islam, Hal ini diduga karena mayoritas masyarakat pada lokasi tersebut muslim. Proyeksi pelanggan di 300 desa didapatkan minimum penetrasi 36,7% dan maksimal 85.2%. Rekomendasi sejumlah 940 Titik hotspot dengan area bandwith secara statik sebesar 3Mbps (aggregate download dan upload).  Penelitian memperhitungkan Link Budget perangkat backhoul tier 3 dengan frekuensi 24Ghz. Setiap  perangkat dapat menangani rata-rata jumlah device yang terkoneksi secara bersama sejumlah > 200 Device teknologi Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11). Beban total trafik  > 1,6 GBPS. Rekomendasi Arsitektur  broadband wireless access Berbasis Hotspot Di Jawa Timur yaitu Surabaya 140 lokasi dengan 400 titik hotspot, Mojokerto sejumlah 70 lokasi dengan 210 titik hotspot. Pandaan sejumlah 80 lokasi dengan 240 titik hotspot Malang  43 lokasi dengan 90 titik hotspot.Kata kunci: Broadband Wireless Access, Hotspot, Line Of SightAbstract— This study aims to determine the pattern of internet traffic in several locations in Jawa Indonesia. Observations were made for twelve (12) months. Data is processed using statistical methods to obtain projections of internet users and hotspot needs. This study produces recommendations for hotspot needs by considering internet user mobility and location contours. Device recommendations vary by location in terms of geography and crowded areas. Line of Sight affects the ability of the device to emit internet signals. The results showed an increase in internet users on Muslim holidays. Projected customers in 300 villages have a minimum penetration of 36.7% and a maximum of 85.2%. The recommended number of 940 hotspots with a static area of 3Mbps (download aggregate and upload). This study takes into account the tier 3 Link Budget backhoul device with a frequency of 24Ghz. Each device can handle the average number of devices that are connected together by> 200 Wi-Fi technology devices (IEEE 802.11). Total traffic load> 1.6 GBPS. Architectural recommendations for broadband wireless access based on hotspots in East Java, Surabaya, 140 locations with 400 hotspots, Mojokerto with 70 locations with 210 hotspots. Abstract A wet detention pond in Norway has been monitored for 12 months. The pond receives runoff from a highway with a traffic load of 42,000 average daily traffic. Hydraulic conditions in terms of inflow, outflow, and pond water level were recorded every minute. Water quality was monitored by volume proportional inlet and outlet samples. During most of the year, excellent pollutant removal was achieved; however, during two snowmelt events the pollutant removal was poor or even negative. The two snowmelt events accounted for one third of the annual water load and for a substantial part of the annual pollutant discharge. The performance of the pond was analyzed using a dynamic model and pollutant removal was simulated by first-order kinetics. Good agreement between measurement and simulation could be achieved only when choosing different first-order rate constants for different parts of the year. However, no relation between the rate constants obtained and the time of year could be identified, and neither did the rate constants for different pollutants correlate. The study indicates that even detailed measurements of pollutant input and output allow only average performance to be simulated and are insufficient for simulating event-based variability in pond performance.

: Mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) hold a set of numerous mobile computing devices useful for communication with one another with no centralized control. Due to the inherent features of MANET such as dynamic topology, constrained on bandwidth, energy and computing resources, there is a need to design the routing protocols efficiently. Flooding is a directive for managing traffic since it makes use of only chosen nodes for transmitting data from one node to another. This paper intends to develop a new Cluster-Based Flooding using Fuzzy Logic Scheme (CBF2S). To construct clusters and choose proper cluster heads (CHs), thefuzzy logic approach is applied with the use of three parameters namely link quality, node mobility and node degree. The presented model considerably minimizes the number of retransmissions in the network. The presented model instructs the cluster members (CM) floods the packets inside a cluster called intra-cluster flooding and CHs floods the packets among the clusters called inter-cluster flooding. In addition, the gateway sends a packet to another gateway for minimizing unwanted data retransmissions when it comes under different CH. The presented CBF2S is simulated using NS2 tool under the presence of varying hop count. The CBF2S model exhibits maximum results over the other methods interms of overhead, communication overhead, traffic load, packet delivery ratio and the end to end delay.

Back Ground/ Aims:: Now-a-days in the Wireless Communications some of the spectrum bands are underutilized or unutilized; the spectrum can be utilized properly by using the Cognitive Radio Techniques using the Spectrum Sensing mechanisms. Objectives:: The prime objective of the research work carried out is to achieve the energy efficiency and to use the spectrum effectively by using the spectrum management concept and achieve better throughput, end to end delay etc., Methods:: The detection of the spectrum hole plays a vital role in the routing of Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs). While detecting the spectrum holes and the routing, sensing is impacted by the hidden node issues and exposed node issues. The impact of sensing is improved by incorporating the Cooperative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) techniques. Along with these issues the spectrum resources changes time to time in the routing. Results:: All the issues are addressed with An Energy Efficient Spectrum aware Routing (EESR) protocol which improves the timeslot and the routing schemes. The overall network life time is improved with the aid of residual energy concepts and the overall network performance is improved. Conclusion:: The proposed protocol (EESR) is an integrated system with spectrum management and the routing is successfully established to communication in the network and further traffic load is observed to be balanced in the protocol based on the residual energy in a node and further it improves the Network Lifetime of the Overall Network and the Individual CR user, along with this the performance of the proposed protocol outperforms the conventional state of art routing protocols.

Transport networks are essential for societies. Their proper operation has to be preserved to face any perturbation or disruption. It is therefore of paramount importance that the modeling and quantification of the resilience of such networks are addressed to ensure an acceptable level of service even in the presence of disruptions. The paper aims at characterizing network resilience through weighted degree centrality. To do so, a real dataset issued from probe vehicle data is used to weight the graph by the traffic load. In particular, a set of disrupted situations retrieved from the study dataset is analyzed to quantify the impact on network operations. Results demonstrate the ability of the proposed metrics to capture traffic dynamics as well as their utility for quantifying the resilience of the network. The proposed methodology combines different metrics from the complex networks theory (i.e., heterogeneity, density, and symmetry) computed on temporal and weighted graphs. Time-varying traffic conditions and disruptions are analyzed by providing relevant insights on the network states via three-dimensional maps.

The correct operation of the continuous welded track requires diagnosing its condition and preparation of track metrics requiring measurements of displacements of rail under operation. This is required as there are additional thermal stresses in the rails with values depending on the temperature changes of the rails. Therefore, the climatic conditions are important. This paper presents the original effective analytical method for diagnosing the condition of continuous welded track based on experimental research. The method allows for an appropriate repair or maintenance recommendation. In the experimental research, the authors considered track diagnostic conditions for two conditions: track under load and track without load. This paper presents empirical formulas for calculating rail temperature and longitudinal force based on ambient temperature, developed from long-term measurements. The formulas were developed for a track located on a straight section—both for a rail loaded and unloaded with a passing train under the following conditions: 60E1 rail, not on an engineering structure, conventional surface, wooden sleepers and very high train traffic load. The obtained results in the value of the correlation coefficient R2 ≥ 0.995 attest to very high accuracy of the calculations performed with the method proposed by the authors.

A novel lever piezoelectric energy harvester (LPEH) was designed for installation in an actual roadway for energy harvesting. The model incorporates a lever module that amplifies the applied traffic load and transmits it to the piezoelectric ceramic. To observe the piezoelectric growth benefits of the optimized LPEH structure, the output characteristics and durability of two energy harvesters, the LPEH and a piezoelectric energy harvester (PEH) without a lever, were measured and compared by carrying out piezoelectric performance tests and traffic model experiments. Under the same loading condition, the open circuit voltages of the LPEH and PEH were 20.6 and 11.7 V, respectively, which represents a 76% voltage increase for the LPEH compared to the PEH. The output power of the LPEH was 21.51 mW at the optimal load, which was three times higher than that of the PEH (7.45 mW). The output power was linearly dependent on frequency and load, implying the potential application of the module as a self-powered speed sensor. When tested during 300,000 loading cycles, the LPEH still exhibited stable structural performance and durability.
