Cloud Computing (CC) is a technology that surely brings innovations in today’s business world, more and more companies around the world are widely incorporating this technology into their businesses. From a technical, as well as organizational point of view transferring enterprise IT to the Cloud is a complex task. Various factors have to be taken into consideration in order to make a right choice when moving IT services to the Cloud. The goal of this paper is to identify and to discuss in detail all factors that influence organization’s decision to adopt Cloud. General model for Cloud adoption, introduced in Pantelic et al. [13]a, consists of the key factors driving the organizational benefits when moving to the Cloud. The purpose of the model is to support decision makers in evaluating the benefits, risks and costs of using Cloud Computing. In this paper the general model is extended with two new aggregation methods for harmonization of alternatives rankings in a group decision process. We present the results of two new methods using the method results from previous research [13], as rank inputs, into an aggregate (group) preference. The idea is to find consensus ranking that minimizes disagreement among previous methods results. There were no strong differences between the results of performed methods. The results have shown that Software as a service model and Storage as a service model dominated according to not just arithmetic-mean method, but also to geometric-mean method.

Cloud computing technology created a brand new approach for further information resources management and utilization. Based on exploring characteristics and applications of cloud computing technology, the study in this paper is focused on cloud service with information resources. The aim of this study is to construct a cloud service model, namely Information Resource as a Service (IRaaS). Our model depicts the components of IRaaS and relationships among those components, which builds up a prime foundation for further studying on both information resource management and service.

The cloud-based computing paradigm helps organizations grow exponentially through means of employing an efficient resource management under the budgetary constraints. As an emerging field, cloud computing has a concept of amalgamation of database techniques, programming, network, and internet. The revolutionary advantages over conventional data computing, storage, and retrieval infrastructures result in an increase in the number of organizational services. Cloud services are feasible in all aspects such as cost, operation, infrastructure (software and hardware) and processing. The efficient resource management with cloud computing has great importance of higher scalability, significant energy saving, and cost reduction. Trustworthiness of the provider significantly influences the possible cloud user in his selection of cloud services. This chapter proposes a cloud service selection model (CSSM) for analyzing any cloud service in detail with multidimensional perspectives.

Mobile cloud computing (MCC) has attracted extensive attention in recent years. With the prevalence of MCC, how to select trustworthy and high quality mobile cloud services becomes one of the most urgent problems. Therefore, this paper focuses on the trustworthy service selection and recommendation in mobile cloud computing environments. We propose a novel service selection and recommendation model (SSRM), where user similarity is calculated based on user context information and interest. In addition, the relational degree among services is calculated based on PropFlow algorithm and we utilize it to improve the accuracy of ranking results. SSRM supports a personalized and trusted selection of cloud services through taking into account mobile user’s trust expectation. Simulation experiments are conducted on ns3 simulator to study the prediction performance of SSRM compared with other two traditional approaches. The experimental results show the effectiveness of SSRM.

Cloud computing (CC) has recently been receiving tremendous attention from the IT industry and academic researchers. CC leverages its unique services to cloud customers in a pay-as-you-go, anytime, anywhere manner. Cloud services provide dynamically scalable services through the Internet on demand. Therefore, service provisioning plays a key role in CC. The cloud customer must be able to select appropriate services according to his or her needs. Several approaches have been proposed to solve the service selection problem, including multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA). MCDA enables the user to choose from among a number of available choices. In this paper, we analyze the application of MCDA to service selection in CC. We identify and synthesize several MCDA techniques and provide a comprehensive analysis of this technology for general readers. In addition, we present a taxonomy derived from a survey of the current literature. Finally, we highlight several state-of-the-art practical aspects of MCDA implementation in cloud computing service selection. The contributions of this study are four-fold: (a) focusing on the state-of-the-art MCDA techniques, (b) highlighting the comparative analysis and suitability of several MCDA methods, (c) presenting a taxonomy through extensive literature review, and (d) analyzing and summarizing the cloud computing service selections in different scenarios.

Cloud computing is still in the stage of rapid development. So in this article the origin and concept of cloud computing will be summarized in detail, the character, basic structure of the cloud computing and its application and impact in each field will be analyzed strongly. In the cloud computing environment, the construction and service of digital library has changed greatly. The cloud storage based on digital library, the digital library infrastructure integration and construction based on cloud service, and even the library automation based on cloud computing, all of these need to research deeply in library field in the cloud computing. Besides, the changes of digital library service model based on cloud computing are also the one of the important content. In this article three kinds of service model is proposed:personalized cloud platform service model based on the needs of the users, user active push-service model and sharing cloud platform service model. Structure model is designed respectively, the working process and model of service model is explained, and their application scope is analyzed in this article.

The Rapid development of cloud computing impels the new situation of information technology services in foreign language teaching in universities, and brings more quality requirements to subject librarians in universities. The teaching database of English reading in universities combines image, audio, video, text, animation and interactive contents for teaching to create a fresh, vivid, interesting English learning environment. The paper proposes the implementation strategies of university English reading teaching datebase construction and the cloud service model according to the concept of cloud computing; It thinks that the subject librarians should supply personalized services for the readers, at the same time, they should also strive to be cloud librarians.

Cloud computing is a model to provide on-demand access of configurable computing services and resources to the network users without direct service provider interaction. Cloud computing is one of the new buzzwords in the business world. It is a generic term for computing solution where software and services are provided over the Internet. Also the cloud computing delivered and managed IT services in several different forms such as Platform, Infrastructure, and to publish Web services for the patrons. In this chapter we discuss technology, benefits, and initiatives and mainly compare about the Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Online Computer Library Centre (OCLC) cloud service players.

Cloud computing can improve corporate IT operational efficiency and reduce maintenance costs on enterprise PC terminal after centralizing computing and IT services. However, computing resources centralization makes security control and management particularly complicated. Without moderate isolation and security policy, one computer infected by virus can cause the whole network paralysis in cloud computing. It is absolutely necessary to develop "cloud management system" in cloud computing. In this paper, we analysis cloud management system architectures, build a cloud management system conceptual model, and design cloud management system deployment. We also implement cloud management system integrating a variety of technologies including host virtualization technology, virtual host automatic backup management, virtual host blocking and audit technique, and cloud computing access control etc. The cloud management system can guarantee the security of cloud computing, and provide a more economical and more reasonable solution to the cloud service users.
