AbstractRecent investigations have focused on the clinical application of artificial intelligence (AI) for tasks specifically addressing the musculoskeletal imaging routine. Several AI applications have been dedicated to optimizing the radiology value chain in spine imaging, independent from modality or specific application. This review aims to summarize the status quo and future perspective regarding utilization of AI for spine imaging. First, the basics of AI concepts are clarified. Second, the different tasks and use cases for AI applications in spine imaging are discussed and illustrated by examples. Finally, the authors of this review present their personal perception of AI in daily imaging and discuss future chances and challenges that come along with AI-based solutions.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to provide a detailed overview of the China Academic Library and Information system (CALIS) document supply service platform (CDSSP) – its historical development, network structure and future development plans – and discuss how its members make use of and benefit from its various components. Design/methodology/approach – The authors provide a first-person account based on their professional positions at the CALIS Administrative Center. Findings – CDSSP comprises five application systems including a unified authentication system, Saas-based interlibrary loan (ILL) and document delivery (DD) service system, ILL central scheduling and settlement system, File Transfer Protocol (FTP) service system and a service integration interface system. These systems work together to meet the needs of member libraries, other information service institutions, and their end users. CDSSP is widely used by more than 1,100 libraries based on a cloud service strategy. Each year more than 100,000 ILL and DD transactions are processed by this platform. Originality/value – The development of CDSSP makes it becomes true for CALIS to provide one stop information retrieval and supply service. At the same time, it promotes the resource sharing among member libraries to a great degree.

The present paper is concerned with the following questions: what are the advantages and disadvantages of the method of complex evaluation (MCE) scoring model as compared with that designed by Tomek. Both scoring models are compared (MCE and Tomek) presenting the results using a simple illustrative case study. The criteria for evaluating the scoring model variants include: the amount of information necessary, level of difficulty, details of the results, the object comparison. A single illustrative case study is used. This paper is concerned with presenting the scoring model for evaluating the existing suppliers in the first instance for production enterprises. Other existing scoring-models aren't present and compare. This paper aims to compare the scoring model by Tomek and that of the method of complex evaluation (MCE) by Chytilova. Other scientific aim of this paper consists in the description of business conditions which MCE is suitable. The result of this paper is the description of differences in evaluation processes between two scoring-models (by Tomek and MCE) presenting the advantages and disadvantages of MCE. The comparison of the scoring model variants focuses on formulating the conditions of business under which MCE is more suitable than the scoring-model by Tomek. This paper is concentrates on middle-sized production enterprises. It is oriented towards the evaluation of suppliers in the first instance. It only compares the supplier evaluation processes used by the enterprises. For illustration purposes data from enterprise managements are used. Only the existing suppliers are evaluated in this paper.

Even as the acknowledgment that “behavior is a function of an interaction between the person and situation” has attained the status of a truism in psychology, the study of situations has lagged far behind the study of persons. This imbalance has begun to be remedied in recent years, with the development of assessment instruments and new theoretical perspectives for understanding situations. More and more papers are being published, symposia and even entire conferences are being devoted to the interplay of persons and situations, and research is progressing rapidly. This handbook offers an extensive review of the research on psychological situations, providing a one-stop source for readings on the state of the art of theory, methods, findings, and applications in this burgeoning field. The handbook chapters are written by experts in their respective research areas and are conveniently organized along these themes. Bringing together historical reviews, theoretical pieces, methodological descriptions, and empirical applications, this volume is the definitive, go-to source for a psychology of situations.

By using methods of literature, comparative analysis and logic analysis, this paper studies the obstacles and constraints faced by the value chain leaders in the process of functional upgrading of China's sporting goods manufacturing industry cluster under the global value chain environment. The upgrading practice of foreign industrial clusters shows that domestic enterprises can rely on the familiar local market and cultural background to form a strong national value chain (NVC), occupy the high-end links of the value chain, have domestic well-known brands, sales channels and other high-end links in the value chain, and then develop and spread gradually, occupy foreign markets with similar demand, establish a national value chain dominated by local companies as the "chain master", and finally, enter the European and American markets to establish a balanced value chain parallel to the dominance of international giants such as ADIDAS and NIKE, break through the status of being "captured" and "squeezed", and realize product functional upgrades.
