Higher education in Indonesia is regulated by the government with the Higher Education Accreditation (APT). In APT 3.0, Higher Education is required to be able to present performance data in the form of a Higher Education Performance Report (LKPT) as a reference in making a Self-Evaluation Report (LED). However, it is necessary to have an in-depth analysis to determine the gaps in the data required by Higher Education according to the APT 3.0 standard. The process of integrating the samples refer to the Zachman Framework (ZF). The results of this simplification that the data is available in support of APT 3.0 approximately 79% of the total data both inside and outside the core business of Higher Education and is well managed in an integrated database. The remaining 21% of the data that are not available is spread across several information systems, especially SIMMawa, SIMHumas and Cooperation, and SIMAKU. This shows that the change in accreditation standards that have been in effect since April 2019 has created a significant data gap for Higher Education. This research also produced an alternative model of integrated data management that can be used as input for Information System developers in the Higher Education scope.

This article reports on a pilot project conducted in Australia and Norway evaluating new approaches to collaborative chamber music instruction in higher education settings. Following suggestions from the literature on collaborative and group learning in music, chamber music tuition was chosen as a suitable context to examine the possibility of teaching-through-playing and the impact of such an approach on students’ collaborative learning and their induction into the professional music community. Two groups of staff and students in each institution volunteered to participate in the project and implemented their own rehearsal schedule. Student focus group interviews were conducted after the final performance of rehearsed repertoire, and transcripts were analyzed by two researchers independently for the emerging themes and refined through iterative discussions. Key findings include students being inspired by working with experienced staff in a professional setting, learning the skills of ensemble playing such as effective rehearsal techniques, understanding of stylistic conventions, specific technical, musical and co-ordination skills, greater experimentation, positive impact of group discussions, and a more collaborative atmosphere. Students found it challenging to alter power roles, as the ingrained attitudes of teacher-led approaches prevailed. This project has shown that teaching-through-playing chamber music is a viable approach for developing students’ musical and social skills by providing them with authentic professional experiences. We propose an alternative model of higher education performance teaching that is more collaborative and participatory.

Research productivity constitutes a key factor in maintaining the sustainability of higher education management. This study aims to identify the impact of knowledge sharing on research productivity in higher education. This research is a mixed-methods study with a sequential explanatory case study design. Quantitative analysis of questionnaires was initially performed by using linear regression. The participants included 35 lecturers working for a private university in Indonesia. The following stage involved further verifying the questionnaire results by means of quantitative analysis of interview data, documents, and focus group discussion (FGD). Results substantiated that knowledge sharing positively and significantly influenced the university's research productivity. In addition, it was revealed that existing expert groups, knowledge-sharing agenda, collaborative research, facility support, funds, partnership with external institutions and human resources development program contributed to the enhancement of lecturers' ability to generate ideas and engage in research endeavors.

Current literature in higher education service quality and organisational performance depicts that adequate application of modified HEdPERF (Higher Education PERFormance) in the organisation daily operation will generate high performance activities that subsequently will increase organisation performance. Although many previous investigations have studied the association between service quality and organisation performance in higher education, the role of modified HEdPERF education specific model as a critical factor for improving organisation performance among managers has been poorly discussed. The goal of this work is to assess the effect of modified HEdPERF service quality model and organisation performance relationship among heads of department of Malaysian polytechnics. This study employed random sampling method through self-administered questionnaires collected from 192 Heads of Department covering academic and non-academic departments within Malaysian polytechnics. The results have shown that programme issues, academic aspects and access are significant antecedents for organisational performance at Malaysian polytechnics. Conversely, non-academic and physical facilities were not able to improve organisational performance. The study outcomes confirm the ability of organisation to correctly execute modified HEdPERF which covers programme issue, academic aspects and access in daily operations as important measure to improve the performance of the organisation.
