The article explores the different types of discourse from the perspective of the emotional atmosphere's substrate on the therapeutic session. The author selects some of the emotional discourses and describes their connection with the experience of early childhood relationships with significant adults. This concept of the emotional discourse allows not to determine the type of the client personality, but to deal with the relations the client establishes. So the therapist focuses on the process of therapeutic communication and, moreover, in the "language's" characteristics of the contact between the partiсipants.

This study tends to shed light on early childhood care and education (ECCE) institutions with special reference to kindergartens in Fukuoka, Japan. The choice of the topic for study was derived by the importance of ECCE in children’s life and huge economic growth of Japan after worst effects of world war-II, which are thought to be linked with the education that children receives in Japan. The study is limited to four kindergartens in Fukuoka City and observations made for the study refers to 2018. Herein, different types of institutions providing ECCE, their infrastructural set-up, activities, along with curriculum are discussed. At the end, issues and challenges of ECCE system in Japan are discussed. It has been observed that the infrastructural facility and nature of activities are of high quality. Each and every care is being taken to inculcate habits, as well as to maintain physical and intellectual growth of children. The children seem to be highly happy and enjoy learning via various activities in these schools. It is clear that the devised policies on education and care of children are implemented in full spirit.

Throughout this chapter the authors are going to present a didactic proposal, called “Lights, Camera, and Action” that is arranged to be carried out with three-year-old boys and girls and consists of five sessions, which will be spread over 15 days, and physical activity will be performed twice a week. In this proposal, topics like the typical in the performing arts such as circus, theater, dance, and music are explored. In this playful and motivating way, physical activity will be promoted, through our own content such as jumps, turns, and different types of balance. The didactic proposal contains objectives, competences, and contents, regulated by the Curriculum Decree 67/2007 establishing Early Childhood Education in the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain).

Educators tend to think of computational fluency and number sense as two different types of mathematical knowledge. Computational fluency seems to entail a well-practiced and efficient use of procedures to compute how many items are in a set or how many there will be if sets are joined or separated. Number sense seems related to a deep understanding of the meaning of numbers. Through the phrasing of its major curriculum recommendations, NCTM may have unintentionally reinforced the tendency to think of these two types of knowledge as distinct or as opposed in some fundamental way. An oppositional frame of mind about these forms of knowledge is prompted by the suggestion that mathematics teaching should move away from an emphasis on facts and procedures and toward a focus on number sense (NCTM 1989), as well as a more recent recommendation that number sense should remain the dominant focus in mathematics teaching but computational fluency should not be neglected (NCTM 2000). One begins to wonder whether the two types of knowledge are acquired in different contexts and whether they require different methods of teaching. Nothing could be further from the truth.

This article aims to investigate the teaching of chance in the context of tactile models (TM) from the perspective of the Theory of Register of Semiotic Representations. In this qualitative research, we sought to identify the different types of semiotic registers and transformations (treatment and conversion), in the solutions of the tasks of the Jefferson’s Random Walks Teaching Sequence of children in early childhood education (aged 5 years). We found the presence of different registers, most frequently mother tongue and figurative language, and of conversions. Finally, the TM proved versatile, particularly in addressing the concept of chance, for the mobilization of different semiotic registers and transformations, which can encourage teachers to use this material to work concepts in the school context.
