We publish the results of a three-stage study of the floristic heterogeneity of the Melekess-Stavropol physiographic region located on the territory of the Samara and Ulyanovsk Regions. The area belongs to the forest-steppe zone of the Trans Volga Lowland and occupies the area of 7,7 thousand km. Based on the analysis of family spectra, originality of the flora of the region we show the comparison of Soksky and Irgiz physiographic regions of the Samara Trans Volga. At the first stage of the research we consider the internal heterogeneity of the region, changes in the species composition of the flora along a two-sided latitudinal gradient. For this, the course of the curve, reflecting the accumulation of the number of species with an increase in area, has been studied. The accumulation curves of the number of species aligned in both directions showed three stages of an increase in the number of species, indicating the species heterogeneity of the area. The study of the position of the leading families, depending on the size and geographical position of the floristic sample, shows the heterogeneity of the studied Melekess-Stavropol region by the flora type, which is determined by the third term of the first triple of the family spectrum. At the second stage, four floral groups (floristic samples) are analyzed, which are geographically isolated at the first step. A comparison is made of the isolated groupings at the head of the family spectra using the fraction of the family in the flora and the number of species in the family. The third stage includes a comparison of the selected floral groups of the Melekess-Stavropol physio-geographical region according to the Preston index. Taking into account the existing numerical threshold of 0,27, above which the samples should be considered as different floras, it is possible to speak of the presence of four different floras on the territory of the studied area.

Abstract. Andreychev A. 2021. Short Communication: Proportion faunal assemblages of carnivorous mammals in geoecological districts of Mordovia, Russia. Biodiversitas 22: 4625-4632. In the forest-steppe area, carnivorous mammals are represented by species of different faunistic assemblages. This circumstance makes the study region a priority since the species of which faunistic assemblages prevail is of interest. Fifteen carnivorous species have been identified in the territory of Mordovia. Among them, the family Mustelidae predominates in terms of the number of species. The species are found in all geoecological districts, but their distribution is uneven. The most notable species in the region are located in coniferous and broad-leaved forests (40%) and species widely distributed in several natural areas (40%). 13% of the total number of noted species belong to the taiga fauna types. The steppe type of fauna is represented by only 7% of the total number of recorded species. For each geoecological region, the fauna features are given, and a list of rare and exciting species is given. The forest-steppe zone to which Mordovia belongs is compared by the fauna of carnivorous mammals with other regions from three typical faunal assemblages.

Ecological approach to the study of flora implies an integral flora unit called elementary flora (EF), which is usually regarded as the elementary unit of floristic division. Identification of the minimum-range of EF is prerequisite for the research of flora of any territory. The aim of this research is to identify the number of EF in the research area (floral patterns) by comparing the values of certain parameters of the family range of flora in four minimum-ranges. The basin of the river Sok is the research area. Its landscape zoning varies in different literature sources. Florae of the four minimum-range habitats are formed on territorial basis with reference to the existing floristic descriptions. The following parameters of the family range of flora in four minimum-ranges were used: establishment of the order of the first triad of families depending on number of species in a sample, percentage of monotypic families and percentage of species in the top ten families. The considered values of florae parameters in the sample areas corresponding to the minimum-range habitats show a certain degree of similarity. The largest differences were observed in the study of the formation of top three leading families, depending on the number of species. This indicator reflects the peculiarities of individual sample areas due to the variety of intra-landscape. The authors reach a conclusion concerning the conditional affiliation of the researched territory to one EF. The conclusion is based on the analyzed parameters of the family range of flora of all minimum-ranges as well as their floristic descriptions

Angiostrongylus costaricensis is a nematode parasitic of rodents. Man may become infected by ingestion of the third stage larvae produced within the intermediate hosts, usually slugs from the family Veronicellidae. An epidemiological study carried out in a locality in southern Brazil (western Santa Catarina State) where these slugs are a crop pest and an important vector for A. costaricensis has documented for the first time the natural infection of Deroceras laeve with metastrongylid larvae. This small limacid slug is frequently found amid the folds of vegetable leaves and may be inadvertently ingested. Therefore D. laeve may have an important role in transmission of A. costaricensis to man.

The moments in reinforced concrete during bending with torsion were determined, the new first hypothesis of linear deformations and its filling of the diagram during bending with torsion for the analytical second functional as a function of three functions - an exponent, a straight line and a parabola curve. A simple new method is found (from the family of mesh methods) and a summed function of additional deplanation is proposed. The new second hypothesis of angular deformations and its filling of the diagram in reinforced concrete during bending with torsion is constructed. The analytical first general undefined functional is a function of functions, as well as transitions, operations between functions. At the same time, a spatial triple integral of arguments from longitudinal deformations for the first hypothesis was obtained, as well as the third and fourth functionals (indefinite and definite) from moments (bending and twisting) with the projection of the coefficients of the diagram of "deformations - stresses" of compressed concrete and the filling coefficients of the diagrams of compressed concrete for their shoulders to the neutral axis for a field of small squares. The bending and torque moments from the compressed area of concrete and working reinforcement are determined (folded for their levels or expanded into algebraic functions from the synthesis of the computational model of reinforced concrete blocks). In this case, we have new functionals (from the first to the fourth functional), proposed hypotheses (first and second), as well as cross sections (from small squares) to a spatial crack. There are also jumps (cracks) lateral, normal, etc., from the first - third stage of average deformations of concrete and working reinforcement.

AbstractI. Behaviour of the golden hamster during normal parturition is described. 2. This is compared with behaviour of mothers who did not rear their litters because of faulty response to suckling attempts by the pups. Absence of milk at the nipples is suggested as a cause for this unwillingness to nurse. 3. Pups which are not born in the nest are often abandoned. 4. Pups born dead are often treated as food, but live pups are not eaten until after parturition is over. 5. Litters do not form into the characteristic compact unit until they have fed and been brooded. 6. Three stages in family break-up are recognised: (i) At about twentyfive days the mother begins to wean her litter, stops rebuilding the old nest, and may build a smaller one elsewhere. It is possible she would normally leave her litter at this point. (ii) During their fifth week the pups stop trying to suckle and showing contact behaviour ; they begin to sleep in small groups, and seem to try to escape from the mother's cage. At this time the mother attacks them occasionally. (iii) With sexual maturity of the females (six weeks) play-fighting stops, and marking was not seen. If a female becomes pregnant she becomes dominant in a few days, but does not dare fight the mother. 7. It is likely that the third stage is an artefact of captivity and that the litter would be left by the mother in stage (i) and would largely disperse during stage (ii) in natural conditions. 8. The interpretations of observations described are necessarily tentative, and need experimental tests before they can be accepted.

Abstract The purpose of the research is to study the effect of the fungicide Lamador and the humic preparation Rostok on the quality of spring wheat and spring barley in the conditions of the northern forest-steppe of the Tyumen region. According to the yield, we found that pre-sowing seeds treatment with Lamador protectant and joint treatment with Rostock contributed to an increase in yield by 0.70 t/ha of spring wheat and 0.15 t/ha of spring barley, in the option with the pre-sowing seeds treatment with Lamador protectant and Rostock preparation by 0.90 t/ha and 0.10 t/ha. The highest yield of spring wheat was noted in the third option – 4.10 t/ha, of spring barley in the second option – 3.52 t/ha. An increase in the thousand kernel weight was noted in the crops under study. The highest thousand kernel weight was observed for spring wheat and spring barley in the third option – 30.2 g and 54.3 g, respectively. The maximum protein content in the spring wheat grain was noted in the third option –13.3%, which is higher than the control option by 1.3%, for spring barley we also noted protein increase by 0.4-0.5%. Thus, the experimental application of the fungicide Lamador together with the preparation Rostok for wheat seeds treatment demonstrated a positive effect of the protectants on plants in the agro-climatic conditions of the forest-steppe zone of the Tyumen region and contributed to an increase in crop yield by 28% for spring wheat and 4% for spring barley, which proved the need for their use in the plant protection system, to increase the productivity and quality of the grain obtained.

Abstract. The purpose of the research is to study the influence of the timing and depth of planting potatoes on the photosynthetic productivity, yield and quality of tubers of varieties of different ripening in the forest-steppe zone of the Chelyabinsk region. Research methods. The setting of field experience, analysis and generalization of research results are performed in accordance with classical methods. Results. The optimal time and depth of potato planting in the Chelyabinsk region was established – planting May 12–15 to a depth of 5–6 cm. This combination of agricultural methods provides the greatest photosynthetic potential (Rozara – 3.49 million m2/day, Kuzovok – 4.66 million m2/day), effective assimilation of photosynthetically active radiation (FAR assimilation coefficient: Rozara variety – 3.4 %, body weight – 3.6 %), high yield (Rozara – 35.4 t/ha, body weight – 38.3 t/ha) and the quality of potato tubers (starchiness of Rozara tubers – 16.8 %, Kuzovok – 15.84 %, starch collection per unit area 6.10 and 6.28 t/ha respectively). The late planting period (June 5–12) reduced the photosynthetic potential (Rozara varieties – by 18.7 %, Kuzovok – by 23.6 %) and the FAR coefficient (Rozara – to 2.5–2.6 %, Kuzovok – to 3.0 %). As a result, there was a decrease in the yield of the Rozara variety by 5.1–8.1 t/ha, Kuzovok – by 7.1–7.2 t/ha depending on the depth of planting and a deterioration in the quality of tubers. The dry matter content in late-planted tubers of the Rozara variety decreased by an average of 2.7 %, starch – by 2.29 %, and in the Kuzovok variety – by 2.9 and 1.83 % compared with planting in the second decade of May (accumulation nitrates in tubers increased 2.06 and 2.48 times, respectively). Planting to a depth of 5–6 cm provided an advantage in the second decade of May, and to a depth of 10–12 cm – when planting potatoes in the third decade of May and early June. Scientific novelty. In the conditions of the forest-steppe zone of the Chelyabinsk region, the dependence of the planting depth on the potato planting period is revealed. When planting at the optimum time (May 12–15), the best results are provided by a planting depth of 5–6 cm, while in the third decade of May and early June, the potato planting depth should be increased to 10–12 cm.

Based on the research carried out in 1995-2019, the main approaches to the selection of criteria for attracting introduced species in the dry conditions of Khakassia are substantiated. The objects of research are 14 species of medicinal plants of the family Lamiaceae Lindl. different areas of origin. During the introduction, we used the method of comparing climates and generally accepted research methods. The most promising sources of source material are species that have Euro-Asian, Siberian-Central Asian, and North American ranges; by belt-zonal type - forest-steppe, mountain-steppe boreal; by ecological type - species from the group of mesoxerophytes, xeropetrophytes that have wide ecological amplitude, the requirements of which correspond to the conditions of the sharply continental climate of Khakassia.

A floristic study including the taxonomic identity and distribution of Agavaceae was done for Querétaro, México. In Mexico, the family Agavaceae is very important for its etnobotan ical, evolutionary, floristics and taxonomic relevance. Even that Querétaro has a high environmental diversity, the knowledge of the family was limited with previous reports of 15 species. By intensive collections, six genera and 31 species were found. Out of them, two genera (Beschorneria and Prochnyanthes) and 16 species are new reports for Querétaro. Besides, two species of Agave are new for science, and the natural distribution of Agave alboma1ginata is known for the first time. Comparing the number of species of Agavaceae per unit of area from each State in México, we conclude that Querétaro is the third more diverse state.

Information about spring ascomycetous fungi on the territory of the nature tract "Kholodnyi Yar" is presented. As the result of the study 33 species of the ascomycetous fungi were identified, 19 of which are actually spring species and 14 – found in the spring. 15 species are registered for the nature tract "Kholodnyi Yar" for the first time. The largest number of species is represented by the family Morchellaceae (5 species), as well as by the families Pezizazeae (4 species) and Sclerotiniaceae (4 species). The ecological-trophic structure is dominated by species with a saprotrophic feeding strategy, which belong to xylotrophs, humus saprotrophs and herbophilic fungi. The group of xylotrophs was the predominant group of saprotrophic fungi in terms of the number of species (10 species). Humus saprotrophs numbered 9 species of the order Pezizales. In addition, representatives of the group of herbophilic (6 species), which use last year's remnants of herbaceous plants as a substrate, were quite common. Dumontinia tuberosa was the most common species among biotrophic species which parasitizes on the rhizomes of plants of the genus Anemone and forms fruiting bodies at the same time as the flowering period of the host plant. Symbiotrophs were represented by 3 species that are also capable of the saprotrophic feeding strategy inherent to humus saprophytes. A new location for Gyromitra slonevskii, Morchella crassipes and M. steppicola – species which were listed in the third edition of the Red Book of Ukraine – has been registered. Species included in the local red lists were also identified, namely Gyromitra gigas and Verpa bohemica (Kyiv region), Helvella acetabulum (Kherson region). The finding of Phylloscypha phyllogena is the second in Ukraine and the first on the territory of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe.
