AbstractThe purpose of this article is to carry out a literature review on oral health team in primary care with their inclusion in the Family Health Strategy (FHS). The publications were consulted in national papers, official documents and other publications of Health Ministry (MS). In the literature it is observed that with the creation of the Unified Health System (SUS) a process of health restructuring services in Brazil began. The Primary Care National Policy (PNAB) is the result of several historical facts involved with the development and consolidation of SUS. The Family Health Program (PSF), now called the Family Health Strategy (ESF) was created in 1994 aimed at reorienting health care with new bases, centering family focus and attempting to achieve improvement in quality of life of Brazilians. In 2000, oral health teams were included in the PSF to extend access  of the Brazilian population to health promotion actions, prevention and recovery of oral health, improve health indicators and encourage the reorganization of dentistry in primary care. ESF is a unique strategy in the reorganization of the Brazilian health system and the inclusion of the ESB an important complement in primary care, aiming an integral dental practice. Keywords: Primary Health Care. Introduction One of the main problems of the public health services, in which the family oral health team is included, is access by users to dental treatment in primary care, with particular reference to caries disease. Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between family risk, for prioritization of home visits and oral health conditions, with a view to providing evidence about the first indicator for organizing the demand for oral health in the Family Health Strategy (FHS). Method The application of family health is based on Form A of the primary care information database SIAB ("Sistema de Informação de Atenção Básica"), used for registering families with the FHS. Eleven dentists examined the oral health conditions of 1165 persons (608 from 12 to 19 years; and 557 from 35 to 44 years of age), classifying them into six codes from A to F. Multinomial logistic regression was used (α=0.05) to analyze the association between family risk variables and oral health situation. Result There was significant association between family risk and presence of caries disease with treatment needs (OR: 2.08, p<0.0001). Conclusion Persons who have family risk would have twice as much chance of presenting caries disease in comparison with those without risk, corroborating the relevance of this element in organizing the demand for oral health.

Objective: To understand how the professionals of the Family Health Strategy (FHS) develop their actions with people who need mental health care. Methods and results: This is an observational and descriptive research, which predominantly had a qualitative approach. The participants of this research were the professionals of the Reference Teams of the Family Health Strategy of a municipality in the interior of Ceará, in this case, doctors, nurses and dental surgeons. The sample was of twenty participants, which was given by theoretical saturation about the object of study. For the data collection, two techniques were used: semi-structured interview and simple observation. This project was submitted and approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the State University of Ceará (CAAE: 44321015.4.0000.55.34 - Report No.: 1,082,101 / 2015). The data were organized through the technique of the Discourse of the Collective Subject. The results showed that health professionals are not yet ready to promote mental health care in primary care, since they still conceive mental health care from the asylum paradigm and, therefore, act based on the prevalence of diagnosis Psychiatric care, individual care, prescription drugs and renewal of prescriptions. Conclusion: In this regard, we emphasize the need to invest in continuing education for professionals in order to train them for the mental health act. Keywords: Mental Health; Primary Health Care; Family Health Strategy.

AbstractIntroduction The Family Health Strategy program (FHS) was created with the aim to strengthen primary care through multidisciplinary practices, focused of health care to the family and community. In this sense, the incorporation of other professionals, other than provided in the minimum composition, such as the physical therapist, may contribute to enhance the comprehensiveness of health care. Objective To know how the user perceives the need of a physical therapist in the FHS.Methodology This is a qualitative research of 60 users of a Family Health Center in a city in western Santa Catarina. Data collection was performed at users’ homes by means of an interview. It contained questions about users’ knowledge on physiotherapy and the need to include this professional in the FHS team. Data were analyzed using thematic content analysis. Results Regarding the users’ knowledge about the physical therapist, we could observe that users perceive this professional as the one who works in rehabilitation. As for the need for the physical therapists insertion in the FHS staff, users highlighted that it is important to facilitate access to physical therapy services and to expand the comprehensiveness of health care to the user.Final considerations It is clear that users recognize the role of physiotherapy in primary care, realizing the need for its inclusion in the FHS. This fact emphasizes that it is necessary to (re)consider the training process of this professional, approaching theory and practice of the FHS guidelines and the principles of the Unified Health System.

ABSTRACT Objective: to evaluate the attribute longitudinality in different models of assistance in Primary Health Care and observe its association with demographic, socioeconomic and health care characteristics. Method: a cross-sectional study, carried out in 2015 with 1076 adult users of primary care services in the 32 cities of the 4th Regional Health Care Core of Rio Grande do Sul State. The Primary Care Assessment Tool was used with definition of low (<6.6) or high (≥6.6) score for longitudinality. The association with independent variables was observed through the Poisson regression. Results: the attribute was better assessed in the Family Health Strategy and associate with age, housing health region and care model. Conclusion: the study points out the Family Health Strategy as a promoter of longitudinal care, and so, it suggests the expansion of this assistance model coverage for quality improvement in health care.

AbstractObjective: to verify the correlation between the rates of hospitalization for primary care-sensitive cardiovascular diseases and the coverage by the Family Health Strategy of residents of the State of Paraná, by regional health divisions, from 2000 to 2011.Method: ecological study developed from data of the Hospital Information System of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) and the Department of Primary Care of the Ministry of Health. The rates of hospitalization for cardiovascular diseases were correlated with the annual coverage by the Family Health Strategy using Pearson's and Spearman's correlation coefficients.Result: there was a strong and negative correlation in the State of Paraná (r=-0.91; p <0.001) and in most regional health divisions, with the highest correlations observed in the Metropolitan and Toledo (r =-0.93; p<0.001) and Paranaguá (r=-0.92, p<0.001) regional health divisions. Conclusion: the results suggest that the increase in the coverage by the Family Health Strategy was an important factor for decrease in the hospitalizations for cardiovascular conditions among residents of the State of Paraná and in most regional health divisions. Other studies should be performed to analyze the factors and causes in regional health divisions where there was no correlation with increase in the Family Health Strategy.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the strengths and limitations of the Family Health Strategy from the perspective of health care professionals and the community. METHODS: Between June-August 2009, in the city of Vespasiano, Minas Gerais State, Southeastern Brazil, a questionnaire was used to evaluate the Family Health Strategy (ESF) with 77 healthcare professionals and 293 caregivers of children under five. Health care professional training, community access to health care, communication with patients and delivery of health education and pediatric care were the main points of interest in the evaluation. Logistic regression analysis was used to obtain odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals as well as to assess the statistical significance of the variables studied. RESULTS: The majority of health care professionals reported their program training was insufficient in quantity, content and method of delivery. Caregivers and professionals identified similar weaknesses (services not accessible to the community, lack of healthcare professionals, poor training for professionals) and strengths (community health worker-patient communications, provision of educational information, and pediatric care). Recommendations for improvement included: more doctors and specialists, more and better training, and scheduling improvements. Caregiver satisfaction with the ESF was found to be related to perceived benefits such as community health agent household visits (OR 5.8, 95%CI 2.8;12.1), good professional-patient relationships (OR 4.8, 95%CI 2.5;9.3), and family-focused health (OR 4.1, 95%CI 1.6;10.2); and perceived problems such as lack of personnel (OR 0.3, 95%CI 0.2;0.6), difficulty with access (OR 0.2, 95%CI 0.1;0.4), and poor quality of care (OR 0.3, 95%CI 0.1;0.6). Overall, 62% of caregivers reported being generally satisfied with the ESF services. CONCLUSIONS: Identifying the limitations and strengths of the Family Health Strategy from the healthcare professional and caregiver perspective may serve to advance primary community healthcare in Brazil.

Abstract This study aimed to conduct an integrative review of scientific literature on the topic of Oral Health in the Family Health Strategy in the period 2004-2014. Articles published in national and international journals (n = 141) were consulted and selected from the electronic Library the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and from electronic databases PubMed, Lilacs, BBO and Cochrane. The implementation process of oral health teams in the Family Health Strategy was the most frequent thematic variable (18%) of the 15 variables identified. The Northeast was the Brazilian macro-region where the largest number of published articles originated (n = 61). The studies were predominantly quantitative, and the highest number of publications occurred in 2010 (n = 26). We concluded that there is an increasing interest in investigating the context of oral health implementation in the Family Health Strategy, with particular emphasis on theme categories related to the micro-process work and the redefinition of professional identities arising from multidisciplinary work in primary care.

ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the Primary Health Care attributes of Fortaleza city, Ceará State. Method: Evaluative study carried out at 97 Primary Health Care Units, from August 2015 to June 2016. 451 professionals from the Family Health Strategy participated in the study. We used the Primary Care Assessment Tool - Brazil, which evaluates the attributes, assigning scores on a scale of zero to ten. We adopted as a cut-off point, to consider high Primary Care score, attributes with a value of 6.60 or higher. Results: Among the eight attributes evaluated the First Contact Access and the Coordination - Information System were the ones that obtained the lowest and highest scores, (2.98) and (7.82), respectively. The Overall Score, calculated by means of a mean of the attributes, was 6.34. Conclusion: The Primary Care evaluated had a low score, showing the need to discuss mechanisms to boost the attributes that obtained low scores.
