Development and Test of Social Director of Sports Psychological Contract Scale

In order to provide important realistic basis for standardizing, guiding and governing the guiding behavior of social sports instructors, the measuring tools of psychological expectation were compiled. According to the survey data of 285 social sports instructors and 365 social sports instructors, project analysis, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were carried out, and reliability and validity tests were conducted. The results are as follows: (1) the social sports instructors psychological contract scale by the growth and development, belonging and identity and norms and guidelines of three dimensions, 36 projects, divided into organizational responsibility subscales (growth liability, ownership, standard responsibility) and personal responsibility subscales (development rule of liability, recognition and responsibility) two subscales. (2) The Cronbach's Alpha value of organizational responsibility scale was 0.927 and KMO was 0.904 (P<0.5); the Cronbach's Alpha value of personal responsibility scale was 0.932 and KMO was 0.921 (P<0.5). The subscales of organizational responsibility and personal responsibility χ2/ DF < 3, GFI > 0.8, CFI < 0.9, RMSEA < 0.8; the structure and data fit well and meet the requirements of psychological test. (3) It is consistent with the realistic, conditional exchange and development-oriented dimensions of the authoritative psychological contract research contents at home and abroad, and reflects the group characteristics of social sports instructors in the expressions and specific items. Individual responsibility is greater than organizational responsibility; Organizational norms and personal norms have the highest expectation of responsibility; the pursuit of growth and development is greater than belonging identification. The psychological contract scale for social sports instructors has a reasonable structure, good reliability and validity, and reflects the value pursuit of the group. It is an ideal evaluation tool for studying the psychological contract of social sports instructors.

Background and PurposeTobacco use is declining but the use of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) has increased in young populations. The Interdisciplinary Tobacco Use Research Program (ITURP) developed a survey assessing tobacco and ENDS use, and a tobacco-free campus policy. This project analyzes the reliability and validity of the Tobacco Attitude and Behavior Survey (TABS).MethodsContent and face validity, factor analysis, Cronbach's Alpha, and a process evaluation were assessed.ResultsFactor analysis revealed four constructs. Cronbach's alpha was .70. Process evaluation revealed that students involvement in TABS allowed rapid assessment of changes in ENDS use, and to modify questions based on student feedback.ConclusionReliability and validity are adequate for a new tool.

Objective. The aim of the study was to investigate the reliability and validity of the Turkish version of the Participation Scale (P-Scale). Methods. A total of 152 students, with a mean age of 20.27 ± 2.19 , participated in the study. Sociodemographic information (age, gender, and family income) was recorded; all participants completed the P-Scale twice with a 15-day interval. Translation and cross-cultural adaptation were performed to analyze the validity and reliability of the P-Scale. Cronbach’s alpha and McDonald’s alpha were used for scale reliability statistics and explanatory (EFA) and confirmatory (CFA) factor analysis; Mardia’s multivariate normality and assumption tests were used for the validity of the scale. The factor extraction methods were minimum rank factor analysis in EFA and weighted least squares mean and variance adjusted estimator polychoric correlation matrix in CFA. Results. Internal consistency of the scale was found good with Cronbach’s alpha (0.852) and excellent with McDonald’s alpha (0.924). The EFA and CFA resulted in two-factored structure, with the explained variance found to be higher than 30%. Conclusions. Analysis demonstrated that the P-Scale had a satisfactory level of reliability and validity in Turkish university students.

The purpose of this study is to develop a measurement scale for phone snubbing among Moslem youth in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. This research is used a quantitative survey research with the number of respondents N = 503 who were Moslem youths at a university in the Republic of Indonesia which was determined by multistage sampling technique. The instrument used is the Phone Snubbing Scale (Phub-S) which consists of three dimensions - ignore others, dependency on gadgets and social disconnectedness. In analyzing the data through the process of building validity consisting of confirmatory factor analysis and total correlation of corrected items, analyzing internal consistency reliability using Cronbach's alpha technique. The results showed that the Phone Snubbing Scale (Phub-S) has a good item validity and reliability test as a measurement scale for phone insulting behavior young Moslems in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The recommended Phub-S items totaling 45 items that have been fulfilled are valid based on testing confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) technique (standardized solution (SS) > 0.4 and T-Values > 1.96), Corrected Item-Total Correlation ≥ 0.30 and with a scale reliability value. 0.932 (Cronbach's Alpha value> 0.8).

Abstract Purpose. We examined the reliability and validity of the Healthy Fitness Measurement Scale Version 1.0 (HFMS V1.0) specifically on elderly people in China.Methods. We carried out a cross-sectional study in December 2020 and enrolled 800 elderly people through stratified sampling technique. The level of healthy fitness was measured using the HFMS V1.0. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient, split-half reliability, test-retest reliability, convergent and discriminant construct validity, exploratory factor and confirmatory factor were calculated for assessing the reliability and validity of HFMS V1.0.Results. The valid samples were comprised of 777 samples (with a mean age of 71.81 ±8.36 years), 382(49.2 %) were women. HFMS V1.0 consists of 8 dimensions and 38 items. The scale had acceptable reliability (Cronbach's alpha = 0.920, split-half = 0.946, test-retest = 0.878). The correlation of each item, dimension and subscales ranged from 0.528 to 0.888 (p < 0.001). Exploratory factor analysis uncovered 11 factors with the cumulative contribution rate of 68.09% and all factor loads over 0.40. The item distribution was consistent with the initial expectation of the scale. The confirmatory factor analysis indicated good fit: CMIN/DF=2.773, RMSEA=0.048, IFI=0.915, TLI=0.904, CFI=0.915.Conclusion. HFMS V1.0 was shown to have acceptable reliability and validity. Collectively, HFMS V1.0 is reliable and efficient to measure the healthy fitness of elderly people.

To validate the Vietnamese version Internet Gaming Disorder-20 (VN-IGD-20) Test for teenagers, a survey among 349 gamers, who were accepted in the interview, from secondary and high schools from 28 game stores was conducted in Hanoi, Vietnam. The IGD-20 Test comprised 20 items with six different dimensions, using a 5-point Likert scale. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confrmatory factor analysis (CFA) were used to examine the validation; Cronbach’s Alpha was performed to test the reliability; and Latent class analysis (LCA) was applied to identify the level of internet gaming disorder (IGD). Moreover, the ROC curve diagram was used with the highest Youden’s Index parameter to determine the best cut-off point. CFA proved that the VN-IGD-Test with 17 items, which was divided into fve-factor dimensions. The model indexes of the Vietnamese questionnaire included RMSEA = 0.053; SRMR = 0.052; GFI = 0.929; TLI = 0.908 and CFI = 0.927. The values for Cronbach’s alpha coeffcient of each dimension ranged from 0.823 to 0.840. The LCA found out four levels of IGD: casual gamers, regular gamers, low-risk engaged gamers, and high-risk engaged gamers. Additionally, the optimal empirical cut-off point with the highest Youden’s Index was 47.5 (out of 85). The present study fndings illustrated that the VN-IGD-17 Test could be used as a valid and reliable tool for assessing internet gaming disorder in Vietnamese teenagers.

(1) Objective: To assess the reliability and validity of the simplified Chinese version of the brief Diabetes Quality of Life (DQoL) questionnaire in measuring health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in Chinese type 2 diabetes (T2D) patients. (2) Methods: A cross-sectional validation study including 277 patients was conducted at a tertiary hospital in Shanghai, China during April–May, 2018. The English brief DQoL was forward and back-translated into simplified Chinese. The expert interview, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and Spearman correlation with the 5-level version of EuroQoL-5 (EQ-5D-5L) were employed to establish its validity. The internal reliability was assessed by Cronbach’s alpha. Participants were also stratified into subgroups to evaluate if the Chinese brief DQoL had more test effectiveness in a specific subpopulation. (3) Results: No items were removed from the original English brief DQoL based on the results of factor analysis and expert interview. The Spearman coefficient revealed a low-moderate inverse correlation between DQoL and EQ-5D-5L index and visual analogue scale (VAS), respectively (ρ1 = −0.364, p < 0.0001; ρ2 = −0.514, p < 0.0001). The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of the final scale was 0.731. (4) Conclusions: The simplified Chinese version of the brief DQoL questionnaire showed reasonable reliability and validity, suggesting its potential appropriateness for evaluating quality of life in Chinese T2D patients. More future efforts should be made to generalize the application of the findings.

Conclusion HFMS V1.0 was shown to have acceptable reliability and validity indices for this sample. Collectively, HFMS V1.0 is reliable and efficient to measure the healthy fitness of elderly people. It is recommended to use it among the elderly in other Chinese cities in the future to ensure uniformity and objectivity. This scale can be carried out to evaluate of the effectiveness of public health measures in improving the healthy fitness level of the elderly and optimizing public health policies.

Organizational justice is an individual's fair perception of organizational decisions taken by its leaders. Researchers conducted a psychometric analysis to determine the validity and reliability of the organizational justice scale. The organizational justice scale is based on three dimensions: distributive justice, procedural justice, and interactional justice. The pilot study involved 36 students who were members of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, Indonesia. The validity test uses content validity, product-moment item selection while measuring reliability using Cronbach's alpha which is analyzed using SPSS version 25. The analysis results prove that 32 items are feasible and reliable with Cronbach's alpha value of 0.948. Thus, the organizational justice scale can be used for research on student organizations.

Background and PurposeManagers need evidence-based methods to evaluate their management skills. To further test the appreciative management scale (AMS 1.0) to create a practical instrument to be used in evaluating appreciative management.MethodsFor further testing, a new survey was conducted among social and healthcare managers (n = 734) in Finland. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to assess the scale validity and Cronbach's alpha coefficients the internal consistency.ResultsThe validated AMS 2.0 scale includes 24 items. The values measuring validity and reliability were good, with an Rool Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) of 0.072, Average Variance Extracted (AVE) values between 0.532 and 0.634, and Composite Reliability (CR) values ranging between 0.850 and 0.914. The Cronbach's alpha of the whole scale was 0.944.ConclusionsAMS 2.0 is a reliable and valid means to measure appreciative management as proved by confirmatory factor analysis.

(1) Background: Whole person health (WPH) is important among employees in hospitals. It will affect their performance and attitude toward patient care and organization. This project was designed to develop and assess the validity and reliability of utilizing the Whole Person Health Scale for Employees of a Hospital (WPHS-EH) to determine overall employee health. (2) Methods: A mixed-methods focus group and cross-sectional survey was adopted. Employees held six focus groups, with 62 employees from different departments in medical center in Taiwan. After analyzing the interview content, five experts tested its validity, and the 14-item WPHS-EH scale was analyzed. This was followed by an additional 900 participants questionnaire survey, response rate: 94.9%. Descriptive statistics, Cronbach’s alpha, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and items analysis were used. Additionally, the scale was implemented to conducted confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) test for validity. (3) Results: Three dimensions were extracted from the questionnaires by EFA: “hospital circumstance and system”, “professional and interpersonal interaction” and “workload and harm”. The Cronbach’s alpha of the WPHS-EH scale was 0.82, while the three sub-dimensions were all significantly correlated with total scores. CFA confirmed the scale construct validity, with a good model fit. (4) Conclusions: The WPHS-EH is a reliable measurement tool to assess the effects of hospitals’ Whole Person Health among employees. The intent of the WPHS-EH was to provide a reliable scale to analyze the work environment for hospital staff and useful information to healthcare administrators interested in improving the staff’s whole person health.
