The field of ‘Statistics and Probability’ has expanded its scope over the last few decades and have become an integral part of many fields with continuously increasing demand. This manuscript aimed for at a bibliometric analysis and comparison of all published documents during 2015 – 2019, from journals in the study topic category of ‘Statistics and Probability’ for Q4 Impact Factor (IF) journals and Emerging Source Citation Index (ESCI) of Web of Science (WoS). Sources with incomplete data for study timeframe were excluded and 31 sources from Q4 IF and 32 from ESCI journals were selected yielding 12808 and 4294 documents respectively. After data extraction from WoS, the bibliometric analysis at; source, author and document levels, were performed using “Bibliometrix” R-package. Q4-IF sources produced around 3 times more documents than ESCI sources. Articles were the main document type for both categories. China and USA were leading countries for Q4-IF while India, USA and Korea were dominant among ESCI documents. Two authors, namely, ‘Cordeiro GM’ and ‘Alizadeh M’ were among the 10 most productive authors in both categories. Sources “Communications in Statistics-Theory and Methods” and “Korean Journal of Applied Statistics” were leading contributors for Q4-IF and ESCI category respectively. For both categories, mainly similar trends were observed for keywords and topic coverage. In both Q4-IF and ESCI journals ‘Maximum likelihood’ and ‘Ordered statistics’ were observed to be most predominant keywords. A consistent publication trend with few similarities was observed in terms of documents production over the years for these two categories.

Over the last few decades, statistics and probability became an integral part of major research areas with continuously increasing demand. This article aimed for bibliometric analysis of journals indexed in the category of “Statistics and Probability” under Emerging Source Citation Index (ESCI) of Web of Science (WoS) (2015–2019). After data extraction from WoS, the bibliometric analysis at source, author, and document levels was performed using “Bibliometrix” R-package. Out of 38 journals indexed in ESCI, 32 that fulfilled the criteria were selected. In total, 4,294 documents were retrieved and analyzed by various bibliometric metrices, and appropriate data presentation tools were planned. Sixteen countries were found as origin of sources, mainly from USA and India while 10 countries had one journal each. Among journals, Korean Journal of Applied Statistics, Journal of Statistics & Management Systems and Advances and Applications in Statistics contributed the most. Wiley Interdisciplinary Reviews-Computational Statistics, Journal of Statistics & Management Systems, and Pakistan Journal of Statistics and Operation Research showed leading impact indices. Total number of authors were 6,374. Only one document was cited more than 100 times. Countries collaboration network showed three main groups with minor overlap. Two clusters of keywords namely survey sampling and distribution theory were found. Overall, a consistent publication production trend was observed. Countries with relatively higher impact journals were USA, India, and Pakistan. Total citations and average citations showed dominance of developed countries. Study findings can benefit researchers and other stakeholders of the study subject to plan with better informed decisions.

Ever since cloud storage has been a trend for data storage technology, Google Drive has been widely used by users and research on the use of Google Drive has initiated starting from 2012. Based on the usefulness and benefits of Google Drive, there are many kinds of research has been conducted on this topic. Thus, this paper aims to analyze and report various types of published works related to Google Drive based on the data obtained from SCOPUS database as of May 2020. This study adopted a bibliometric analysis by using “Google Drive” keyword search and managed to retrieve 356 documents to-be analyzed. Standard bibliometric indicators has been used to present the result in this article; document type, source type, year of publication, languages of document, subject area, most active sources, keyword analysis, geographical distribution of documents, authorship and most productive authors, most influential institution, text and citation analysis. MS Excel, VOS viewer, and Publish and Perish 7 software had been utilize in order to analyze the gathered documents. The result shows there is an increased growth rate of research on Google Drive from 2012 until 2016. However, the number of research is decreasing slowly from 2017 until 2020. In total, there are 9 languages being used, 26 subjects area with one undefined, 73 countries with one undefined, 160 authors and 160 institutions.

The application of artificial intelligence (AI) to health has increased, including to COVID-19. This study aimed to provide a clear overview of COVID-19-related AI publication trends using longitudinal bibliometric analysis. A systematic literature search was conducted on the Web of Science for English language peer-reviewed articles related to AI application to COVID-19. A search strategy was developed to collect relevant articles and extracted bibliographic information (e.g., country, research area, sources, and author). VOSviewer (Leiden University) and Bibliometrix (R package) were used to visualize the co-occurrence networks of authors, sources, countries, institutions, global collaborations, citations, co-citations, and keywords. We included 729 research articles on the application of AI to COVID-19 published between 2020 and 2021. PLOS One (33/729, 4.52%), Chaos Solution Fractals (29/729, 3.97%), and Journal of Medical Internet Research (29/729, 3.97%) were the most common journals publishing these articles. The Republic of China (190/729, 26.06%), the USA (173/729, 23.73%), and India (92/729, 12.62%) were the most prolific countries of origin. The Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences were the most productive institutions. This is the first study to show a comprehensive picture of the global efforts to address COVID-19 using AI. The findings of this study also provide insights and research directions for academic researchers, policymakers, and healthcare practitioners who wish to collaborate in these domains in the future.

Abstract An increase in the global mean sea is predicted during the 21st century as a consequence of global average temperature projections. In addition, changes in the strength of atmospheric cyclonic storms may alter the development of storm surges, exacerbating the risks to coastal communities. Based on the fact that the interest and range of papers are growing on this topic, this study aims to present the global scientific production status of studies that have correlated climate change and the impact of storm surges on the coastal zone leading to erosion and flooding (inundation) via a bibliometric analysis. We analyzed 429 papers published in journals between 1991 and February 2021 from the Scopus database. Through the VOSviewer and Bibliometrix R package, we describe the most relevant countries, affiliations, journals, authors, and keywords. Our results demonstrate that there has been an exponential growth in the research topic, and that authors from the United States and the United Kingdom are the most prolific. Among the 1454 authors found, 10 researchers published at least 5 papers on the topic and obtained at least 453 citations in the period. The most represented journals were the Journal of Coastal Research, Climatic Change, and Natural Hazards. We also found, and discuss, the lack of standardization in the choice of keywords, of which climate change, storm surge, and sea level rise are the most frequent. Finally, we have written a guide to facilitate the authors' bibliographic review.

PurposeThis paper aims to provide a retrospective on the Journal of Derivatives and Quantitative Studies (JDQS) on its 30th anniversary based on a bibliometric analysis.Design/methodology/approachThe authors use the performance analysis to analyze patterns in JDQS's publications, citations and citation indices over the years. To investigate the relationship among keywords and authors, the authors of this paper employ science mapping by analyzing keyword-level networks and author-level networks using the KCI- Korean Journal Database of WOS. The authors use VOSviewer for bibliographic analysis and cluster analysis at the keyword and author levels. To study the effect of JDQS articles' attributes on citations of the articles, the authors conduct a regression analysis with KCI data. The authors regress the citations for each article on the article's attributes.FindingsJDQS's yearly publications, citations, impact factors and centrality indices grew in the early 2010s before diminishing in 2020. Keyword network analysis reveals that JDQS's main keywords include behavioral finance, implied volatility, information asymmetry, price discovery, KOSPI200 futures, volatility and KOSPI200 options. Citations of JDQS articles are mainly driven by article age, demeaned age squared, conference, nonacademic authors and language. Based on the number of views and downloads of JDQS articles, the authors find that recent changes in publisher and editorial and publishing policies have increased the journal's visibility.Originality/valueThis study quantitatively analyzed the bibliographic information of papers published in JDQS, a representative Korean academic journal in the finance area. This confirms the academic contribution of JDQS over the past 30 years and provides implications for future strategies of the journal. It shows the patterns in JDQS's publications, citations and citation indices and identifies the main authors and most cited papers. However, there is no such bibliometric analysis on Korean financial journals; thus, this study can contribute to the literature in this point.

Purpose Real estate valuation studies gained popularity with the availability of large-scale property transaction data in the latter part of the twentieth century. Hedonic price modeling (HPM) was the most popular method in the initial years until it was taken over by advanced modeling methods in the twenty-first century. Even though there exist a few literature reviews on this topic, no comprehensive bibliometric analysis is conducted in this area. In view of gaining a better understanding of the dynamics of property valuation studies, this paper aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis. Design/methodology/approach A comprehensive search in the Scopus database, followed by detailed screening resulted in 1,400 articles. The identified research articles spanning over five decades (1964–2019) are analyzed using the open-source R package “bibliometrix.” Findings The study found the USA to be the most productive country in various aspects, such as number of publications, number of authors and publication hotspots. The findings also demonstrate assessments on the publication trends, journals, citations, keywords, co-citation and collaboration networks. It was observed that there exists an upsurge in the number of publications after the year 2000 owing to improved data availability and better modeling techniques. Research limitations/implications This study is significant in understanding the major research areas and modeling techniques used in property valuation. Future studies can incorporate multiple database sources and include more articles. Originality/value The current study is one of the first bibliometric studies on property valuation. Previous studies have not explored the possibilities of geographic information system in bibliometric research. Spatial mapping and analysis of publications provide a geographical perspective of valuation research.

There has been increasing interest in international construction since the late 1990s due to growing competition in global markets. A bibliometric analysis of international construction research is conducted to evaluate the trends and to map the productivity in the field. Using the Scopus database from 2003 to 2013; document type, research performance of leading journals and authors, geographic and institutional distribution of research is assessed. The core and sub topics of the literature is also analyzed to determine critical themes in international construction. Results reveal that (1) risk management, (2) measuring performance, (3) general strategy and (or) competitiveness, and (4) foreign market entry decision are the top four core themes in international construction research. The fluctuations in the number of papers in different subject categories reflect the new tendency in international construction debate, which emphasizes a shift from measuring performance themes to general strategy and (or) competitiveness and foreign market entry decision in international construction.

Objective. In this study, the current state of research on traditional Mongolian medicine (TMM) through a bibliometric analysis of research documents located in the Web of Science (WoS) database was assessed. Methods. The WoS database was searched on September 2021 with the keywords “traditional Mongolian medicine.” Publications on TMM scientific research were included in this study, without any language limitations. Bibliometric data from such publications were retrieved from the WoS database. Full records with cited reference lists were descriptively analyzed. To assess trends in TMM research topics, authors’ keywords were analyzed. A thematic evolution map based on coword analysis was suggested. To analyze research networks among co-authors, affiliations, or countries of the authors, collaboration networks were evaluated. The Bibliometrix R package (3.1) was used for the analysis. Results. A total of 234 scientific publications were included in the analysis. The top three countries of origin of the corresponding authors were China (n = 153), Japan (n = 28), and South Korea (n = 9). The top three relevant affiliations of the authors in the included publications were “Inner Mongolia Medical University,” “Inner Mongolia University of Nationalities,” and “National University of Mongolia.” “Flavonoids,” “cytotoxicity,” “NMR,” and “Tibetan medicine” were the most frequently used keywords in the included documents. Most publications focused on the chemical analysis and mechanism of effects of Mongolian herbal medications. There were few publications on nonpharmacological interventions such as bloodletting or TMM diagnostics, which should be promoted in future publications. Conclusion. There were only a limited number of publications on TMM identified through a search of the WoS database, using the keywords “Traditional Mongolian medicine.” More improved strategy for searching for TMM publications must be established. Research publications on TMM, especially regarding nonpharmacological interventions, need to be promoted. In addition, collaboration with researchers worldwide needs to be encouraged in the future.

<p class="0abstract">The fourth industrial revolution is progressing very rapidly. This research aims to investigate the research patterns and trends of industry 4.0 research with a focus on manufacturing. This bibliometric analysis is performed on data of the past five years (2016 to 2020) retrieved from the Scopus database. This research is conducted on 1426 articles in which the top productive countries, authors, institutions, and most cited articles were investigated. Findings demonstrated that Italy, the United States, and China are the most active countries in terms of research publications. South China University of Technology (China) has been identified as the most productive institution.  Wan, J., Li, D., Rauch, E. were found to be the most productive authors. Industry 4.0 is primarily focused on the fields of engineering and computer science and sustainability is the most prolific journal. Co-occurrence analysis of keywords, co-authorship analysis of authors and countries were carried out along with bibliographic coupling of documents using VoS viewer which is the most common information visualisation software. This article summarises the growth of Industry 4.0 in the past five years and gives a short overview of the related works and applications of Industry 4.0.</p>
