Over the last decades, there has been growing pressure on industrial companies to offer to their costumers products with high quality, in the minimum deadlines and with reasonable prices. Since the design phase plays a key role to achieve these difficult goals, many traditional, DFX (Design For X) and integrated approaches have been proposed. However, many limits are still present. Thus, the main objectives of this work were first to identify these limits and then to overcome them by proposing and developing an automated framework for integrated product design. In this work, we automated the integrated DFMMA (Design For Materials, Manufacturing and Assembly) approach by developing an architecture composed of four levels, namely: the Common Information Modeling Level, the Selection Systems Level, the Inference and Computation Level and finally the Application Level. The proposed automated system is based on ontologies, on the CBR (Cases Based Reasoning) and the RBR (Rules Based Reasoning). The first main result obtained throughout the contributions consists on the integration of Manufacturing process selection, Assembly solution selection and materials selection in one integrated design approach. The second main result obtained consists on the exploitation of all the previous design studies developed by the design team and the ability to reuse the designers experience throughout the case based reasoning used in the proposed architecture. Another important result consists on the formalization and the automation of the execution of the design rules and the ability to infer new results and to check inconsistencies in the developed product using the data and information modeled in the ontological model and throughout the Cases Based Reasoning that we have incorporated in the developed approach. In this way, the redundancy in work and the difficulties faced in case of having a high number of design alternatives are avoided. Consequently, the product quality increases and wastes of time and money decrease. Finally, to validate the functioning and the efficacy of the proposed DFMMA system, an application on the design of a complex mechanical product is developed in the end of the work.

With the increase of power transaction business, traditional power transaction data interaction models cannot fully meet the needs of data interaction. The data model conforming to the power transaction data architecture plays an important role. Data interaction requirements of Chinese electricity market transaction business are analyzed, and the specific method of power transaction data description is given in the IEC-61970 protocol standard. Also a common information model (CIM) for electricity trans-action data interaction is built that conforms to the data interaction architecture. Finally the functional description of the model is built adopting the unified modeling language (UML). Compared with the existing electricity transaction data interaction model, the method is beneficial to reduce the degree of data redundancy, increase the speed of data interaction, and thus improve the transaction efficiency of the electricity market.

Abstract The need to reform the energy system is urgent. Choose new energy to supplement traditional energy according to local conditions, to build a comprehensive energy system will become more and more emerging development areas of the rigid demand. However, in the practical application of RIES, due to its high complexity and wide range of involvement, there are information islands between various equipment and systems, which cannot support its high efficiency and timeliness. Therefore, The common information model (CIM) modeling method can break the information interaction barriers between RIES.Taking a new area as an example, the CIM model expansion of photovoltaic generating electricity system, wind power system, EV charging equipment, substation class, thermoelectric conversion equipment and user load is established. The classes and class attributes required for the information interaction of RIES control center in the new area were designed, which laid the foundation for the interaction between different energy systems and the load and storage of the source network.

The purpose of the article is to study the interpretational possibilities of Dante's code in artistic samples of various types of art. Methodology. Methods of observation, modeling, comparison, analysis, and synthesis were used in the methodology of the work. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that the analysis of interpretations of Dante's code on the example of fine art, computer games, cartoons, musical arrangement in a ballet performance is carried out. Conclusions. Dante's code is a kind of cultural code that contains common information. The observation method was applied to fix the perception of works of art in order to study Dante's code. Modeling and comparison methods allowed us to determine the features of Dante's code in different genres and types of art. In the history of the visual arts, Dante's code is interpreted both in the works of artists and becomes a creative process with a generalized content of D. Alighieri's works, but with the exact use of the code name (S. Dali). Comparing the use of Dante's code in computer games, cartoons, we state that in the visual arts and modern video series, Dante's code is reproduced in accordance with the content of D. Alighieri's works. In the history of music, in the musical design of a ballet performance, Dante's code is reproduced in a generalized form, where the reference to the name and title of D. Alighieri's works dominates. In the libretto of the Kyiv ballet of the same name, Dante's code is embodied in two appeals: to a love story and fragmentarily and generally to the work "The Divine Comedy". The musical series of the ballet "Dante" is not directly related to Dante's code, but there are attempts by the authors to find allusions, reminiscences in the music of composers (A. Dvořák, R. Wagner, Ezio Bosso). Keywords: Dante's code, interpretation, ballet, fine arts, musical arrangement of a ballet performance, computer game, cartoon.

To explore the scientific value of information elements in health news, this article reports on common information elements that are associated with scientific value, according to the findings of surveys conducted in the United States and Taiwan. The design of two further studies in Taiwan reflects an effort to understand whether scientific information elements benefit only health conscious people, through empowered-get-more-empowered effects. A survey-based analysis of perceptions and an experimental test of causal effects of information exposure reveal that health conscious people seek health information, value scientific information elements in it, are persuaded by them, and act on advice.

This paper outlines an extensive analysis of the case of Montenegro’s maritime surveillance system becoming integrated within the European Common Information Sharing Environment (CISE). Threats to secure maritime borders across Europe are ever-present and regularly demand coordinated efforts between the member states to tackle and prevent them, e.g. illegal immigration across the Mediterranean. Administration for Maritime Safety and Port Management (AMSPM) in Montenegro is a member of the ANDROMEDA EU project that seeks to facilitate deployments and demonstrations of CISE trials across the European regions, towards their endorsement readiness. AMSPM is now at the forefront of assessing and deploying the CISE components in Montenegro. It thus appropriately evaluates the operational aspects, observes the CISE implementations in some European states, formulates the impact for other national stakeholders, as well as the very prospect of the resulting augmented maritime surveillance in the country. This substantiates the content of this paper as the feasibility of the CISE deployment in Montenegro, supported by a snapshot of the cost-benefit analysis. We aspire to offer novel perspectives and insights that could be a universally useful experience to different CISE implementation initiatives, especially for countries or regions of similar smaller sizes and coastal area.

Background: Contact lenses are medical devices which are used as an alternative to spectacles to correct problems with eyesight. Poor hygienic handling of these lenses poses an ocular health risk. Increased popularity and usage of contact lenses in combination with insufficient cleanliness results in increased bacterial infections of the eye, even resulting in blindness. Materials and Methods: We employed a quantitative cross-sectional study, where we used questionnaires to gather data. We conducted the study among students of the Health Faculty at Jazan University where we recruited 361 participants. Using the questionnaires, we assessed the use of contact lenses and the hygiene practice when handling them among the participants. To the best of our knowledge, only one study has been conducted in the Jazan region to assess contact lens awareness and practice, which can be consider as a gap of knowledge that make our study can be consider a vital observation about usage of contact lens in the Jazan region. Results: We found that 52.6% of the participants use contact lenses. Among those it is predominantly females who use contact lenses, and their motivation is primarily for cosmetic reasons. We further found that the majority of contact lens users exhibit good hygiene practices when handling contact lenses. However, there remains more than a quarter of participants for whom the hygiene practice is poor to moderately good. Conclusion: The majority of participants 172 (84.7%) had good practice level regarding wearing contact lenses. Considering the significant fraction of participants who showed inadequate hygiene practice, we recommend better information and training for those who use contact lenses. This information and training should be predominantly made available on the internet or through contact lens vendors, as these are the most common information channels among the participants.

The rigidity of information technology (IT) has been hindering the development of various businesses regarding energy management systems (EMSs) of power networks, although this area has become more diversified, resulting in changes of elements in the systems due to the introduction of renewable energy (RE) and the new energy industry. In order to effectively accommodate these changes, EMSs should be developed in a structure with a standard-based interface, which can secure interoperability between components in the EMS. In previous studies, the common information model (CIM) proposed by IEC TC57 has been utilized for developing EMSs of power networks, but there are gaps between the existing CIM and an information model for the EMSs of carbon-free island microgrids (MGs), which are a newly introduced form of power network covering multiple islands for reducing carbon emissions. This paper proposes a CIM-based software platform for a carbon-free island MG-EMS to efficiently operate the power network and secure interoperability between components in the MG-EMS. Concerning service restoration of the power network, use cases and business objects representing information exchanged between the components in the EMS are derived, and the existing CIM is extended based on the results of the gap analysis in order to provide necessary information on the MG-EMS. The validity of the proposed platform is verified by exchanging payloads between components in the MG-EMS based on the profile extracted from the extended CIM. Furthermore, the performance of the proposed platform regarding data size and speed of data exchange is presented. Based on the case study results, it is concluded that the proposed platform based on the extended CIM can exchange data between the components in the MG-EMS, achieving reasonable data size and speed of data exchange with the help of the interoperability between components in the carbon-free island MG-EMS.

This paper formulated the definition of “Digital Pattern of Territory Safety” (DPTS) and his structure requirements. The need to create a DSPT is due to the complexity of the tasks of territorial administration, the presence of a large amount of heterogeneous data, the potential of modern intellectual technologies of analysis. The issues of monitoring data integration for the environmental state, control of technosphere objects and characteristics of the social sphere are urgent. The content of a common information space of territorial administration should be determined by the structure of indicators DPTS. The concept of a digital passport of territory safety links types of risks, indicators of their characteristics, information support of indicators with parameters of territory management. The analytical models that consolidate complex monitoring data, dynamic mapping and web visualization were developed for DPTS. Determination of strategic directions for safety territories management, taking into account for their physical-geographical and socio-economic characteristics is based on the systematization of measures to reduce risks. This article provides the examples of using the indicators of Digital Patterns to assess and manage the social, natural and technogenic risks for the systems. The implementations of the safety data sheet in the form of digital twins are possible taking into account the multimodality of information flows
