Solving learning tasks, among students, is usually done in the context of an interaction based on competition or cooperation. Either of the two types of interaction - cooperation and competition - has different effects in terms of the students' mutual attitudes, the degree of involvement, and the degree of participation in the performance of school tasks and individual school performance. The success of the school inclusion of students with SEN implies the cooperation between all the factors involved in this process. Special education is a part of the Romanian education system and should support educational programs for pupils with SEN suitable for their harmonious development. We started in our research from the application of a questionnaire to which teachers from Bihor County responded. If, in the preceding article, this working instrument was applied to a number of 163 teachers from mass education, to mixed classes that had in their composition and children with special educational requirements, in this article we extract the data that we have collected from to a number of 63 teachers in special education. The questionnaire comprises a total of 46 items referring to the atmosphere of cooperation and competition and comprises two parts. The first part includes questions regarding seniority in work, educational grade, age, number of the group of students they work with, etc.

In order toproduce a qualified Arabic curriculum, it requires some substantial foundations, for instance the religious foundation, in which the purposes of Arabic education cannot be separated from the goal of understanding the study of Islam with its various science, philosophical, juridical, or linguistics; the differences laid on the way or technique in teaching the language influenced by different views on seeing the nature of language, analyzing and describing the language, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, and the foundation of science and technology. Hence, the curriculum should be able to accommodate and anticipate the pace of developments in science and technology.

This study was based on the understanding that special education programs are educational programs which aim to teach -students with physical and/or, psychological illnesses. It is required to develop knowledge, attitudes, and professional skills individually or collectively and members of the community in mutual relations with the cultural, social and natural environment. In this case, teachers need to have the appropriate competence to carry out their duties and functions correctly. This research aimed to evaluate the competence of teachers in special education programs and his implication to the graduate competencies. The study was conducted by using a mixed method approach. The results indicated that teachers have tremendous personal competence, social competence, professional competence and pedagogic competence. Thus, it can be interpreted that teachers have adequate competence to support the achievement of educational program objectives for special students. Adequate competency of the three competencies has implications for the competence of students. The article analyzes and interprets the comprehensive presentation of the development of inclusive education in some Nordic countries, namely Sweden, Norway and Iceland. The article states that the special education is still an alternative form of education for children with special needs who cannot attend secondary schools in the majority of the countries. Thus, the relation between inclusive and special education allows the author to draw some parallels between these two types of study to trace the transition from one to another. The author concludes that the history of inclusive education formation in Sweden, Norway and Iceland has much in common, but the Icelandic education system has characteristics which distinguish it from the two others

A review of a decade's experience with the implementation of PL 94-142 provides an opportunity to assess the process of providing education to students with handicapping conditions and to study the larger general education system. In addition, such a review offers an opportunity to examine changes in the place of persons with disabilities in American society. Alan Gartner and Dorothy Kerzner Lipsky find both the practice and conceptualization of a separate special education system wanting, and they propose a single system, special for all students.

The increasing popularity of microcomputers in education is affecting special education. The potential instructional benefits of this medium for handicapped individuals are being increasingly explored. Due to problems which can exist with educational programs, it is necessary for those who are developing and/or evaluating software for purchase to carefully consider its educational compatibility, instructional design adequacy, and technical adequacy. This article presents and examines specific factors in each of these three areas as they relate to the development and/or evaluation of educational microcomputer software for handicapped learners.

The Resource Teachers Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) program is a unique special education development in New Zealand. The aim of this program is the creation of a nation-wide network of more than 700 RTLB operating as itinerant consulting teachers providing support in inclusive classrooms. The principles underlying the program are described and an outline provided of the curriculum and methods of delivery. The program also acknowledges the need to address the important bi-cultural elements of New Zealand society. The paper reports on RTLB demographic profiles and the initial responses of teachers to their training. Preliminary indices of program effectiveness are also presented. The paper indicates ways in which the RTLB initiative is likely to develop and notes issues within the New Zealand education system that will both strengthen and constrain the overall development of the program.
