This article considers the influence which new advertising media has on the urban environment, through their impact on the modern communicative space. The aim of our research was to study the assessments of the impact of Ambient media new form communication on the urban environment of Yekaterinburg by experts of the city’s advertising community. The sociocultural phenomenon of Ambient media — a media form of interaction with consumers embedded in everyday objects, is very popular in Europe, but it remains poorly understood in modern Russia. Ambient media not only conveys information about the advertised object, but is able to transform the surrounding reality. The author conducted an in-depth interview with representatives of the advertising community of Yekaterinburg (N = 22). The attitude of experts to non-traditional media was determined through the study. The research has fixed the social groups that are most susceptible to Ambient media The impact of new media on changing the urban environment was analyzed. The study has recorded the high viability of non-traditional forms of advertising and identified the factors of the urban environment transformation with the help of Ambient media in Yekaterinburg. <h1>Mobile   Legends   Online   Games:   Bang   Bang   is   one   manifestation   of   technological development in new media. The purpose of this study was to find out how the positive and negative impact of playing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang online games to FISIP UMA students who play games. The theory used in this study is communication, new media, positive and negative online games. The method used is a qualitative method. Where the informants fifth in FISIP UMA students. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of participatory observation, in-depth interviews and documentary evidence. The result of the study show that the impact of playing Mobile Legends is influenced by the attitude of the players, indifferent to the social environment, wasteful in terms of time and economy, can get new friends in cyberspace from other countries so as not to limit interaction, add insight and experience about technology.</h1><h1><strong> </strong></h1><h1> </h1>

Abstract Climate change discussion has primarily focused on the physical manifestation, mitigation, adaptation and finance issues. However, little attention is given to the social consequences of climate change impact especially its relationship to crime in society. Specifically, little or no research has been focused on its impact on crime, especially in developing societies. This study which examined the impact of climate change and its consequences on crime specifically terrorist activities in the Northeast of Nigeria is an effort to fill this research gap. The study adopted a cross-aged design which involves in depth interview of 200 farmers in four selected states of the zone. The outcome is that climate change awareness in the zone is very low. The climate change events identified are rapid desertification, excessive heat and drought. The consequence is that most farmers lost farmlands and agricultural products to these climate change events. Also most of the farmers who are youths were rendered redundant due to the negative impact of these climate events on crops and agriculture. Consequently they engage in alternative activities like menial jobs, while some engage in criminal activities like drug addiction, theft, political thugery, armed robbery, kidnapping and terrorism. They become ready tools for recruitment by Boko-Haram terrorists who are active in the area. It is recommended that massive enlightenment and effective mitigation program should be conducted, youth who are not in school should be convinced to embrace education. Also measures and projects to re-engage the youths back to agriculture should be promoted.

This essay examines the ways in which technology defines and divides generations and considers how swipe-­technology (touch-­screen technologies) shape emerging learning styles. Specifically, it focuses on the research currently being investigated on how forms of digital literacy represent a radical shift, away from traditional forms of literacy (Prensky, 2001a, b; Frand, 2000; Prensky, 2001b; Tapscott, 1997; Franco, 2013; Plowman & McPake, 2013; Infante, 2014; Passey, 2014) and evaluates various claims made about the social consequences of such change. This paper emphasizes the impact that swipe-­technology has on young children during early stages of their development and seeks to answer the following question: what are the consequences of digital language becoming the Born Digital’s (Franco, 2013) primary form of expression? The paper draws on some traditional theories such as those of Mannheim (Kecskemeti, 1952) and Vygotsky (1929, 1962, 1978) to provide a broader contextualization. In so doing, it hopes to contribute to the dialogue about how educational institutions should be redesigned to accommodate new media technologies.

The neighbourhood of Mouraria in the center of Lisbon is today home to three main groups of residents: traditional residents, new gentrifiers, and immigrants. This diversity is simultaneously a strength of and a threat to its social cohesion and its current urban rehabilitation process, undertaken by the City Council of Lisbon (CCL). This study has three main goals: 1) to analyze how the ‘community identity’ maps of the neighbourhood are constructed by residents’ discourse; 2) to analyze how the ‘official’ cultural map of the neighbourhood is constructed in the discourses of the press and the CCL; and 3) to compare the ‘official’ and the ‘community’ maps. In drafting the ‘community’ maps, 22 interviews were conducted with traditional residents (14), new gentrifiers (6), and immigrants (2). The ‘official’ cultural map was re-constructed through a press analysis (four articles from two reference newspapers: Público, 2014; Expresso, 2013) and an in-depth interview with the coordinator of the CCL office in Mouraria. Findings show that the rehabilitation program is represented in the ‘official’ discourse in a more positive way than in residents’ discourses. The main divergence concerns the targets of the intervention. However, in both discourses there is agreement regarding the social problems of Mouraria. The stories of the past told by traditional residents, although mentioning the loss of the traditional character of Mouraria, show the importance of public spaces for place attachment and place identity. The discourses of new residents highlight the role of places in building connections between past and present, and in helping maintain a sense of continuity. We discuss the importance of community identity mapping in understanding the ‘battle of ideas’ around urban rehabilitation and the impact that different perspectives can have. The study can be a source of information for decision-makers, helping strengthen the communication bridge between them and the community.Keywords: community identity maps, official cultural map, place relations, multicultural community, rehabilitated neighbourhood Résumé: Le quartier de Mouraria au coeur de Lisbonne est aujourd’hui habité par des habitants provenant de trois catégories sociales, soit : la population traditionnelle du quartier, les populations gentrifiées et les migrants. Cette diversité est à la fois une opportunité et un défi au processus de régénération urbaine développé par le Conseil de la ville de Lisbonne (CVL). Cette étude a trois objectifs: 1) comprendre l’identité communautaire et en faire une cartographie à partir des discours des différents résidents; 2) analyser comment la cartographie culturelle opérée par la presse et le CVL; 3) comparer les deux cartographies, soit la cartographie officielle et celle des résidents. Pour les fins de cette recherche, la cartographie des résidents a été produite à partir de 22 entrevues, dont 14 entrevues réalisées auprès de residents dits traditionnels, six entrevues auprès des populations gentrifiées et deux entrevues ont été conduites auprès de migrants habitant le quartier. Pour sa part, la carte officielle a été réalisée par le biais d’une analyse presse (soit quatre articles provenant de Público, 2014; Expresso, 2013) et à partir d’une entrevue en profondeur réalisée auprès du coordonnateur du projet de revitalisation de Mouraria du CVL. Les résultats de cette enquête illustrent que la representation officielle du projet est de loin plus positive que celle exprimée par les résidents. Les principals différences de perception se situent au niveau des objectifs du programme de revitalisation, bien que les deux discours reconnaissent les problèmes sociaux du quartier. Les discours des résidents traditionnels mettent en évidence un attachement mémoriel pour le passé, mais il illustre également l’importance de l’espace public dans les processus de construction identitaire. Pour sa part, le discours des nouveaux résidents met en relief l’importance du passé et du présent ainsi que la nécessité de préserver une certaine continuité dans cette ligne du temps du quartier. This article aims to understand how the introduction of blue-green solutions affects ethical concerns and expectations of an urban environment. Blue-green solutions are complementary technical solutions, introduced into urban water management, in order to deal with the impact of urbanisation and climate change. These kinds of solutions establish new affordances that have an impact on everyday life in the urban environment. This article describes how blue-green solutions become part of urban settings and how they influence the inhabitant’s perceptions, desires and matters of care concerning these settings. The article examines the interplay between blue-green technologies and the social, material and cultural context in the Augustenborg district in Malmö, Sweden. The study is based on the analysis of free-text answers to a questionnaire aimed to collect information about the interaction between blue-green solutions and everyday life in public spaces. By exploring the inhabitants’ point of view, the article then seeks to recognise the meanings and thoughts entangled with place concerning different types of blue-green solutions. We summarise the main concerns raised by the inhabitants and discuss how the implementation of blue-green solutions relates to the transformation of everyday ethicalities and matters of concern relating to the neighbourhood. We conclude that blue-green infrastructure seems to come with a new kind of sensitivity, as well as with an intensification of concerns, in an existing urban environment. This has important social repercussions, which also makes it important to study the social role and implications of blue-green technologies further.

The study seeks to study the chaos of information on social networks, their impact on the credibility of these networks, the identification of forms of information chaos in the social networks, the degree of public confidence in the information they deal with, their sense of information chaos, Through social networking sites. The study was conducted on (378) individual subscribers of different social networks, "Facebook and LinkedIn and Twitter."  Results: One of the most important findings of the study is that more than half of the sample of the study feel the chaos of information on social networks, due to the large number of accounts on the networks and the increase of anonymous information, as well as the lack of control over the information published on those networks. There are also many forms of information chaos on social networks: anonymous information, privacy violations, infringement of intellectual property rights and rights of publishers, the proliferation of counterfeit and contradictory information, the manufacture and dissemination of viruses, breaches and disruption of devices, and multiple personal or institutional accounts. The researcher recommends the need to pay attention to the enactment of media legislation and laws related to the new media environment for social networking sites to reduce the chaos of information and privacy protection, and to raise awareness of the importance of social networking sites and the Publishing Standards through courses and workshops to reduce the chaos.

Today, new media especially social media became an important tool in human life from providing information, communication; discuss an issue to mobilize people. People can do whatever they want just by using social media every time for 24 hours and everywhere regardless of time or place. Moreover, new media either Facebook, Twitter or Youtube use by everyone including politicians these days to share their agenda, besides other methods. In India, the use of new media mainly Twitter seen play an important in Delhi General Election 2014. For example, most of the election participant such as Narendra Modi or and their parties, Bharatiya Janata Party (BPJ) seen using new media extensively in their online campaign to attract the voter. Thus, the purpose of this research is to understand the roles of new media on politic in India and how politician uses Facebook, Twitter or Youtube in their online campaign and spread out agenda. For this purpose, an in-depth interview (qualitative) was used to get the findings on the impact of new media in politics. There is few media organization staff and former worker partook in an in-depth interview. In the end, this study found that new media, of course, can affect people especially when it is being used frequently.

This research was written to discover the future trends in new media and social networking .The researchers have taken a personal interest in the developments of Web 2.0 platforms after noticing the impact they have made on society on a global scale as well as in our own daily life. The advances in this technology have altered the way individual users and organizations can communicate with each other. In this study of the social network sites we will concentrate on Facebook and its effectiveness as a tool of marketing in the Saudi population because recently it gained enormous popularity for marketing communications. Facebook especially describes itself as the perfect marketing tool because its developers have created an advertising system which allows businesses to use the information of each Facebook user for targeted advertising. Facebook provides the ideal platform for direct communication between organizations and customers. Marketing on social network sites has to follow new rules and principles and each organization has to clearly determine if social media marketing is appropriate for them or not. Through extensive research and analysis, the researchers intended to find if the Facebook is an effective marketing tool in Saudi Arabia where marketers can reach and influence targeted consumers.

The research explores the new media tools manifested in communication and public relations discursive practices in organization, marked by Bahtinian polyphony in media relations texts. The study of organization theory can be defined, analyzed and evaluated as dialogic organization constructed in and by dialogues as discursive practices [Hatch 2006, Grunig, 2002, Castells 2011]. Redefining polyphony consists in analyzing the original definition as “one self - concept is formed part from the social relationship we have with others and from others’ responses to what we say and do…….Because the self is constructed out of our need to balance on our own needs with those of others, the self is necessarily dialogic or make in concert with others”.[Bahtin, 1981] But having the keys for reading the self – concept as the social identity of an organization, the social relationships with others, namely the public(s) as groups of interests validated in the public sphere, and the roles and relations starting from the organization to and from the public(s). Thus evaluating the main levels offered by the framework in organization, the current research has identified: the intentional level created in the communicative contract by the organization in the context the new media have been used; the impact upon the public(s) - audience and/or communities throughout the means of new media and social media, analyzing their posts, comments; the rules of structuring the sequential configuration of the messages in media text as dialog, trilog or polilog in the polyphony of discursive media relations practices in organization’s site, blog, social media units-Facebook, Twitter, You Tube.

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kampung Flory Desa Tridadi Sleman Yogyakarta. Kampung Flory memiliki tiga destinasi utama yang dibagi menjadi tiga zonasi yaitu Zona Taruna Tani, Bali Ndeso dan Desa Wisata Flory. Kampung Flory sudah dikembangkan enam tahun terakhir dan terus mengalami perkembangan yang cukup pesat.  Fokus penelitian ini tentang dampak pengembangan agrowisata terhadap ekonomi masyarakat lokal. Agrowisata merupakan Zona Taruna Tani yang dikelola masyarakat lokal. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan in-depth interview, observasi dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan model interaktif yaitu: pengumpulan data, redukasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah masyarakat lokal mendapatkan dampak yang positif dari pengembangan agrowisata. Agrowisata Kampung Flory dikelola oleh generasi muda yang memiliki keterampilan dalam bertani. Para pemuda yang awalnya tidak tahu harus memasarkan produk tani kemana dan seperti apa, menjadi memiliki wadah untuk saling berbagi ilmu dan juga mendapatkan penghasilan. Tanaman yang dikembangkan ini kemudian dijual kepada para pecinta tanaman dan juga mendapat pemasukan dari wisatawan yang berkunjung. Masyarakat tidak hanya mendapat manfaat sebagai tenaga professional di Agrowisata Kampung Flory namun juga sebagai banyak yang bisa membuka usaha warung disekitar kawasan agrowisata. Produk yang dijual berupa makanan dan minuman khas Kabupaten Sleman. Pengembangan Agrowisata ini juga memberikan manfaat pengetahuan berupa keterampilan untuk bercocok tanam sehingga dapat menambah perekonomian masyarakat. Agrowisata hadir sebagai tempat masyarakat untuk menyalurkan hobi bertani dan juga dapat memberikan edukasi kepada wisatawan.
