The paper explores the influence of the type of secondary education chosen by the participants on the level of intercultural sensitivity and world music preferences, as well as the connection between intercultural sensitivity and world music preferences. The research employed a general data questionnaire, the Intercultural Sensitivity Scale and an assessment scale to examine music fragment preferences in a sample of 124 participants. The results have significant implications for music and pedagogical theory and practice, in terms of increasing intercultural sensitivity and the tolerance of students towards members of other cultures and their music.

Abstract Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) refers to the teaching of non-linguistic subjects through an additional language. Culture is considered as one of the corner stones of CLIL pedagogy. There is currently little research that explores the role of culture or intercultural sensitivity in CLIL, however. The present study investigates to what extent two different educational contexts (CLIL and non-CLIL) influence students’ level of intercultural sensitivity, using the Intercultural Sensitivity Scale (Chen & Starosta, 2000). The sample consists of 177 secondary grammar school students from 2 CLIL schools (n = 98) and 2 non-CLIL / regular schools (n = 79). The results show that intercultural sensitivity is not as self-evident as one may expect in a CLIL setting. Some other factors come into play, i.e. gender, language background and school grade.

Communication by means of new media inevitably leads to changes in language that are reflected in a new type of discourse. The main features of this discourse are the use of abbreviations, emoticons, dialecticism, anglicisms, neologisms, vulgarisms, and profanities. This way of writing, however, is often seen as writing with a lot of errors, which then have a negative influence on literacy in general and, particularly, on the literacy of young people. Therefore, during 2016, the authors of this article conducted a research study of the real literacy of young people analyzing school assignments written by students in their final years of vocational schools and their communication in new media. The 2016 research study was a follow-up study to the research study that had been carried out in 2015 with grammar school students. This new research study compared vocational school students with grammar school students in Croatia.

The paper explores students’ preferences for classical music, 20th century music, and world music, as well as the influence of student age, gender, and previous familiarity with the piece of music on the preferences for 20th century music and world music. As a part of the research, a general data ques[1]tionnaire and an assessment scale for testing preferences for musical fragments were administered to the sample of 183 students in fourth and eighth grades of primary school and senior students attending grammar school. Students gener[1]ally show greatest preferences for world music. The influence of age on the pref[1]erences for 20th century music and world music has been confirmed. Female students, compared to male students, show greater preferences for 20th century music, while in the case of world music, no statistically significant differences were observed with respect to gender. It has been confirmed that students show greater preferences for familiar music, compared to unfamiliar music. The fact that younger students are more open to different musical styles can have significant implications for designing musical activities for children of preschool and early school age

<p>Accounting education and training for students and college through PPUPIK,target this Accounting Training Center at the University of Palembang PGRI have 4,there are Senior high school / Islamic School students, vocational students, college and the general public. Accounting training is implemented in theory and practice, both accounting and computer accounting. The recognition system has been carried out by</p><p>involving college of Edu Accounting Ambassadors and Accounting Education study program by visiting schools and campuses in Palembang to promote and / or establish cooperation. The activities were also published in the mass media, online and newspapers. The implementation of the activities that have been done with two classes, morning study class at 08.00 a.m- 12.00 a.m., afternoon study class is 12.00 a.m- 16.00 p.m. Accounting training conducted is divided into 4 classes, there are service company accounting, trading company accounting, manufacturing accounting and computer accounting (MYOB and Accurate). In phase 1 (February - March 2018) there were 149 participants from Senior high school, vocational School and Islamic School students, on phase 2 (May - June 2018) the participants were students from various universities totaling 149 people and on phase 3 (August - September 2018) the participants were 50 Senior high school, vocational School and Islamic School students. After studying 12-16 meetings, the final examination is conducted for those who have passed the certificate given. For teacher, besides the lecturer in Accounting Education Study Program and lecturer in Accounting Study ProgramUniversity of PGRI Palembang, and also involves brainy alumni . Teachers who come from partners are Prospect accounting courses. Guest lecturers are invited to public lectures and supplements.<br />Keywords: Accounting, Training, Theory and Practice</p>

The paper examines the possibility of a more efficient and effective education for a democratic, multicultural society from the perspective of psychological findings concerning personal democratic and antidemocratic predispositions. The starting premise of the research is a that there is a significant connection between the attitude to multiculturalism and acceptance of plurality of ideas. The research aimed to provide an answer to the question whether openness to other cultures is connected with a readiness to accept plurality of ideas. The research was carried out on a suitable sample (N=306) of multicultural groups of grammar school and secondary vocational school students in Subotica in 2005. The results point to a significant positive connection between attitudes to other cultures and acceptance of plurality of ideas (r=.43; p< .01). The school type also affects the degree of acceptance of plurality of ideas. The author concludes that the findings offer support for an integrative approach to education for democracy, while practice in accepting plurality of ideas through different subjects represents a necessary condition for the acceptance of democratic behavior and thinking. This is how the education for democracy can be made more efficient and effective and integration of young people into democratic and multicultural society facilitated. .

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic created highly unpredictable circumstances which resulted in increased levels of psychological strain. Here we investigate pandemic-related alterations in emotion regulation in adolescents assessed before and during the pandemic. We also take biological age into account in the response to the pandemic.Methods: We compared baseline data on the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) total scores of a pre-pandemic adolescent cohort (n=241) with those obtained during the second wave of the pandemic (n=266). We estimated biological age based on an ultrasonic boneage assessment procedure in a subgroup of males. We included both grammar school and vocational school students in the 9th and 10th grades and analyzed their data independently.Findings: There is a gender difference in the timing of vulnerability for pandemic-related stress in grammar school students: females are affected a year earlier than males. Vocational school male students mature faster than grammar school male students, and the timing of emotional vulnerability also precedes that of the grammar school students.Discussion: We interpret our findings in a developmental model suggesting that there might be a window of highest vulnerability in adolescent emotion regulation. The timing of the window is determined by both chronological and biological age, and it seems to be different for females and males.Application to Practice: Defining the exact temporal windows of vulnerability for different adolescent cohorts allows for the timely integration of preventive actions into adolescent care to protect mental health during future chronic stressful situations.

Abstract The aim of this research was to determine to what extent different variables describe the style and way of life present within the student population in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this sense, in addition to general data on examinees, gender differences were identified, the assessment of parental dimensions of control and emotion, overall family circumstances, level of empathy, intercultural sensitivity, role models, preferences of lifestyles, everyday habits and resistance and (or) tendencies to depressive, anxiety states and stress. The survey included a sample of 457 examinees, students of undergraduate studies at the University of Zenica and the University of Sarajevo, with a total of 9 faculties and 10 departments covering technical, natural, social sciences and humanities. The obtained data give a broad picture of the everyday life of youth and confirm some previously theoretically and empirically justified theses about the connection of the family background of students, everyday habits, with the level of empathy, intercultural sensitivity and preferences of the role models and lifestyles of the examinees.

Наметившаяся в последние годы устойчивая тенденция ухудшения здоровья дошкольников, увеличение количества детей с нарушениями психического и речевого развития, диктует необходимость поиска механизмов, позволяющая изменить эту ситуацию. Основная задача детского сада - подготовить ребенка к самостоятельной жизни, дав ему для этого необходимые умения, навыки, воспитав определенные привычки. Сегодня в дошкольных учреждениях уделяется большое внимание здоровье сберегающим технологиям, которые направлены на решение самой главной задачидошкольного образования – сохранить, поддержать и обогатить здоровье детей. Abstract: This article discusses the features of the use of game technologies in the rehabilitation of preschoolers. Preschool age is a crucial stage in the formation of the Foundation of physical and mental health of the child. During this period there is an intensive development of organs and the formation of functional systems of the body. The steady tendency of deterioration of health of preschool children outlined in recent years, increase in number of children with violations of mental and speech development, dictates need of search of the mechanisms allowing to change this situation. The main task of the kindergarten is to prepare the child for independent life, giving him the necessary skills, bringing up certain habits. Today, preschool institutions pay great attention to health-saving technologies, which are aimed at solving the most important task of preschool education – to preserve, support and enrich the health of children.
