Abstract:The evaluation of vocational and professional interests is considered one of the important aspects in education secondary students for their future decision making. Thus, the objective of this study is to have a current view of how they are configured vocational and professional interests in secondary students in Spain. This Questionnaire for Vocational and Professional EXPLORE (Martinez-Vicente & Santamaría, 2013) to a sample of 3123 high school students and high school applied. The results obtained indicate that there are sex differences in the elections. While women marked preference for Social - Welfare - Artistic and Creative fields in the two men chosen fields are the Technical and Business -Owner - Persuasiavo. In the analysis of the indices of consistency and differentiation women are more consistent than men and differentiation is also higher for them.Keywords: Behavior vocational, vocational choice, vocational and professional interests, Vocational Counseling, Skills, Personality, Self-efficacy.Resumen:La evaluación de los intereses vocacionales y profesionales se considera uno de los aspectos importante en alumnos de educación Secundaria de cara a su futura toma de decisiones. Así pues, el objetivo del presente estudio es tener una visión actual de cómo están configurados los intereses vocacionales y profesionales en alumnos de educación secundaria en España. Para ello se aplicó el Cuestionario para la Orientación Vocacional y Profesional EXPLORA (Martínez-Vicente y Santamaría, 2013) a una muestra de 3123 alumnos de secundaria y Bachillerato. Los resultados obtenidos permiten concluir que existen diferencias de sexo en las elecciones. Mientras que las mujeres marcan preferencia por los campos Social-Asistencial y Artistico-Creativo, en los hombres los dos campos más elegidos son el Técnico-Manual y el Empresarial-Persuasivo. En los análisis de los índices de consistencia y diferenciación las mujeres son más consistentes que los hombres y la diferenciación también es mayor a favor de ellas.Palabras claves: Conducta vocacional, Elección vocacional, Intereses vocacionales y profesionales, Asesoramiento vocacional, Habilidades, Personalidad, Autoeficacia.

This article describes the experience of supervising teachers of psychological and pedagogical disciplines for students of educational psychologists, psychologists in organizing and conducting career guidance work with senior students. The issues of developmental work with an optician, vocational counseling, psychodiagnostics for choosing a profession are considered, and promising directions of vocational guidance work, difficulties and typical mistakes are considered. A detailed description of the preliminary work on the training of volunteers from among the students of the bachelor's degree programs "Psychology" and "Pedagogy and Psychology" for conducting career guidance activities with high school volunteers is given. The technology of sampling and documentary registration of permission to conduct vocational guidance work with teenage high school students is revealed. Potential possibilities of application of a number of psychodiagnostic techniques are analyzed. Recommendations for their implementation and interpretation are given. The effectiveness of the use of activating methods of vocational guidance and the expediency of their inclusion in the structure of developing training sessions are shown. The entire career guidance program is built in accordance with the content of the classification of professions according to E.A. Klimov. The article analyzes the experience and prospects for the development of practical skills of psychology students, teachers-psychologists in career guidance activities with high school students.

This research investigates EFL high school students’ self reflection of teacher’s corrective feedback on pronunciation errors. The methodology of this research was qualitative which used case study as a research design. The data were collected from classroom observation, semi-structured interview of one English teacher, and questionnaire of twenty five students at eleventh grade. The findings revealed that the students’ self reflection could be seen when the teacher providing the corrective feedback. The students could be aware that they often do the errors in pronouncing English because of the difficulties of using English. However, the teacher’s feedback was directed the students to learn about how to pronounce English properly. The researchers conclude that by using self-reflection, the students would be aware of their strength and weakness. Furthemore, it supports self motivated, self-awareness, self-observation, self-analysis, and self-evaluation of the students in pronouncing English. Finally, the researchers suggest that self-reflection can integrate into the other aspects such as writing, reading, and listening. Thus, the students can get the valuable learning process.

In Indonesia, exploring what the students know about the characteristics of Covid-19 symptoms is crucial during Covid-19 pandemic. It is because to picture self-awareness of students about Covid-19 and readiness the students to face offline learning in school. The reason led a purpose of the research, that was, to describe the students’ contagion literacy about the characteristics of Covid-19 symptoms. The participant of the descriptive research was junior high school students in East Java, Indonesia. The data collected through online test consisted of 3 questions. The findings stated that (1) 34% of the students were able to answer Question 1; (2) 27% of the students answered correctly; and (3) 49% of the students chose correct answer. The implication of the research was that the student’s contagion literacy needs to be improved and the educators have to concern to the level of contagion literacy for junior high school students.

The article is devoted to the problem of professional self-determination, which is urgent for today's youth. The role of professional choice in a person's life is great, and the possibilities with which a young man approaches this process plays a decisive role. In their article, the authors present the results of an empirical study of thepersonal characteristics of students in grades 9, 10, 11 and their readiness to choose a profession. We identified important and significant connections between the level of development of self-esteem and reflexivity with such indicators of professional self-determination as autonomy and emotional attitude. This result indicates that the level of development of his self-awareness plays a decisive role in the professional self-determination of a young man. It is the teacher's task to help high school students in professional self-determination.

AbstractCancer is one of the four major diseases in society. And can attack all walks of life without exception and without knowing social status, age or gender. Children, adolescents, and adults have not escaped this deadly attack. But from the data available most women are affected by cancer. Breast cancer still ranks first in new cases and cancer deaths, amounting to 43.3% and 12.9%. The highest cancer suffered by Indonesian women is breast cancer with an incidence of 26 per 100,000 women. One effort that can be done to prevent breast cancer is to implement a healthy lifestyle and breast self-awareness (BSE). This examination can detect breast cancer early and almost 85% of lumps in a woman's breast are found by the sufferers themselves. The Care for society program aims to improve adolescent reproductive health through BSE examination as a screening for disease. The implementation of BSE program assistance was carried out for high school students (Muhammadiyah I High School) in Pontianak. Presentation of Information to Teachers and School UKS Officers to periodically inform of BSE and provide direct assistance to students in conducting BSE examination. An increase in average knowledge after being given an explanation of breast cancer in students and skills in BSE examination after being given assistance. BSE Assistance by Health Workers and UKS Officers increases students' knowledge and awareness to conduct BSE examination in an effort to prevent breast cancer events.

This study assessed the prevalence of verbally being put down by others and intrapersonal and normative factors associated with being put down by others among middle and high school students. Students ( N = 1,027) completed the Adolescent Health Risk Behavior Survey. Over 16% of participants reported being put down at school. Students who identified with the negative words confused, unattractive, dull, and careless and identified less with the positive words popular, smart, considerate, cool, and self-confident reported being put down by others. High school students were less likely to be put down. As students scored higher on the Negative Self-Description Scale, their odds of being put down increased. As students scored higher on the Positive Self-Description Scale, their odds of being put down decreased. Students who perceived their friends drinking alcohol regularly were less likely to be put down. Strategies to enhance self-perceptions to raise self-awareness and form healthy/positive identities are needed.

Lack of career exploration leads to career indecisiveness among Indonesian high school students. According to some studies, successful career exploration is determined by students’ initiative. However, no consistent answer about factors that make the students self-directedly engage in career exploration. This study is aimed to explore student’s self-directedness during the career exploration, including the factors that encourage student’s career exploratory behavior. This single case study used semi-structured interview and document analysis to investigate the experience of one Indonesian high school student. Two themes emerged from the data: involvement factor in career exploration, which determined by internal and external influence, and qualities of self-directedness, which is reflected by the employment of strategies and self-awareness. Recommendation for parents and educators to provide exposure to various activities, explicit teaching of self-directed learning and related skills is also essential to build students’ initiative in career exploration.

<p>This research explored the development of a social justice orientation and identity in a sample of high school students in Hong Kong. A sample of 12 students, four teachers, the Principal, and the School Counselor were interviewed in depth about the roles of community service, service learning, and social justice in their identities and school activities. Grounded theory was used to analyze the interview data and six main themes and several subcategories emerged: Six themes emerged from the interview data: (1) Community service as a social experience; (2) Service as a personally rewarding experience; (3) Appreciation of cultural differences; (4) Self-awareness and selflessness; (5) Adult support for social justice; and (6) Challenges in developing a social justice agenda. Implications for social justice identity development in counseling and education are discussed.</p>
