The dynamics of development of Islamic banking in the working area KBI Malang is encouraging its development in which the Islamic banks NPL rate tends to increase significantly. In this institution within a period of nearly two years alone have been able to make an investment of about 13 M. with clients (depositors) of about 1300 people and 250 customers (users). This is the kind of qualitative research that uses a case study, the approach aims to maintain the integrity of the object and also with verifikatif approach. Verifikatif approach is intended to minimize the possibility of low reliability is often the case in case study research, in order to explain: first: accountability factors in the management of Islamic banks and funds processing, collection and utilization of capital funds, second: factors capabilities of Islamic banks in improving the quality and quantity of social and economic life of society. The results showed that: Factors that support the assessment of accountability in the management of Islamic banks and funds processing, collection and utilization of capital funds is reviewed from the aspect of increased cash liquidity ratio of 15.06% in 2005 rose to 18.12% in 2006 so it has good title, while LDR 44.12%, still well in the predicate. ROA profitability aspects seem to have decreased between 2005 to 2006, where in 2005 while the ROA of 1.99% in 2006 to 0.77%, to BOPO increase from the year 2005 amounted to 84.75% in 2006 amounting to 95.01%, for capital aspects of healthy and performing said, because the CAR above 10% which in 2005 grew 16.94% to 19.07%. Factors that support the capability of Islamic banks in improving the quality and quantity of social and economic life of society is: cooperation financing, business development and service cooperation, and cooperation through SME business support reached 42% this year.

This study aims to analyze the increasing potential for poverty in the city of Palangka Raya from the perspective of SMIs due to the impact of the 19th COVID pandemic. The data was obtained based on the results of in-depth interviews from February to April 2020 with 10 SMIs and supported from secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency. The data is processed based on qualitative research principles based on the type of case study research. In the results of this study it was found that the SMIs experienced a very detrimental impact in terms of sales and marketing of products so that employees who come to work are terminated indefinitely, in this connection it appears that there is potential increases in poverty that can occur in the future come.

Some methodologists have pointed to similarities between experimental method and case study research in terms of design, theory testing and development. However, little is known about how these debates inform qualitative research rationales. The use of a sequential dual case study provided an opportunity to examine these issues and their impact on the unfolding research process. The interplay of inductive and deductive approaches was evident throughout in decisions determining the nature of the research enquiry.

This chapter discusses quantitative and qualitative practices of case-study selection when the goal of the analysis is to evaluate causal hypotheses. More specifically, it considers how the different causal models used in the qualitative and quantitative research cultures shape the kind of cases that provide the most leverage for hypothesis testing. The chapter examines whether one should select cases based on their value on the dependent variable. It also evaluates the kinds of cases that provide the most leverage for causal inference when conducting case-study research. It shows that differences in research goals between quantitative and qualitative scholars yield distinct ideas about best strategies of case selection. Qualitative research places emphasis on explaining particular cases; quantitative research does not.

Despite the case study research method has been widely adopted in qualitative research, few scholarly articles addressed the comprehensive guidance on the use of embedded case study research design. This paper aims to contribute to the literature by demonstrating the use of embedded case study research design in qualitative research. A pseudo case was exemplified by exploring the relationship between a holding company and its subsidiary companies of a corporate group. What construct a case and the rationale for the case being studied is exemplified. The paper further outlines the research protocol, the procedure of inquiry, and the design of the embedded case analysis. A brief explanation of the context of the case enriches the understanding of the investigated cases.

This study aims to (1) find out the reasons for children entering the design course, (2) to know the process of course activities, (3) to know the form of children's creativity, (4) to know the achievements of children. Tthis research is qualitative research with a type of case study research. Data analysis used is model mills and huberman, data of this study were obtained from observation, interviews and documentation. The findings of this study indicate that (1) children who like to draw and design who participate in this course, (2) children's creative ideas are applied in each design they make and each child has their own characteristics, (3) children become creative by participating in this course because with the learning system while playing the teacher provokes children's ideas based on the character of each child, thus fostering the creativity of each child, (4) with several projects children can complete projects based on creativity and their ideas.

This chapter envisions the key challenges of a case study research being faced by researchers and case study itself in terms of the criticism. The case study is an interlinked, multi-perspective and a dynamic analysis-based method, applicable to both qualitative and qualitative research. Considering the significance of applying case study in research methods, there are various advantages with some disadvantages too. These disadvantages are contributing to creating the challenges to case studies. Having a deep strength and weakness analysis of the case study, the factors contributing to challenging the case studies can be easily identified. The major challenges to case studies are based on generalization, validity, reliability, theory role, authority, and authenticity, dependency, and longevity of the case. This chapter provides a detailed overview of the challenges being faced by researchers throughout the application of case study research and has presented a section comprising a solution to these challenges in practical terms.

In the field of education, case study is a widely used qualitative research methodology. While there are a broad range of approaches to case study, the resources available to researchers is limited. Therefore, this chapter aims to shed some light on what defines a case study and some of the possible methodological variations. The goal of this chapter is to provide the reader with a foundational understanding of a case study as a methodology and how this methodology aligns within various research contexts in the field of education.

It is the situational specificity or context of qualitative research that ensures the case study remains a methodological approach, inherently valuable in practice-based research. Since this is inherently complex and multifaceted by nature, being able to provide a means of systematically analysing and framing research investigations is pivotal to the credibility of research that can highlight and illuminate these specific contextual issues. This chapter provides a means by which researchers can begin to frame the complexity of phenomena they wish to investigate by deliberately determining its parameter or scope and then framing or binding this. Beyond these processes, an insight into the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data will be provided so that theoretical outcomes can be framed and posited as part of an active contribution to knowledge. The fact that case study can be posited as both methodology and method ensures its capacity to address the need of being able to undertake context-specific evaluatory research or the overall complexity.
