Two Occupational Interest Inventories, the Strong Campbell Interest Inventory (SCII) and the Career Assessment Inventory (CAI) are suggested as a basis for improving the selection of occupational objectives when traditional evaluation processes are either incomplete, inappropriate, and/or unacceptable. Comments relating to the SCII and CAI focus upon operational characteristics such as ease of administration, scoring and interpretation. Inventory results are reviewed in the text of counselor interpretation responsibilities and the benefits available to both the client and the rehabilitation process.
