Cloud computing is an architecture for providing computing service via the Internet.  Use of the term “cloud” is a metaphor for the representation of the Internet used in most systems diagrams.  In this case, the Internet is the transport mechanism between a client and a server located somewhere in cyberspace, as compared to having computer applications residing on an “on premises” computer.  Adoption of cloud computing practically eliminates two ongoing problems in IT service provisioning: the upfront costs of acquiring computational resources and the time delay of building and deploying software applications.  This paper gives an ontological view of the subject in order to serve as a point of reference in the discipline and to facilitate ongoing technical development.

Cloud computing is a model for providing on-demand access to computing service via the Internet.  In this instance, the Internet is the transport mechanism between a client and a server located somewhere in cyberspace, as compared to having computer applications residing on an “on premises” computer.  Adoption of cloud computing practically eliminates two ongoing problems in IT service provisioning: the upfront costs of acquiring computational resources and the time delay of building and deploying software applications.  The technology is not without a downside, which in this case is the privacy of business and personal information.  This paper provides a conspectus of the major issues in cloud computing privacy and should be regarded as an introductory paper on this important topic.

Many Governments facing critical challenges to maintain pending, unattended documents, reported to the authority, document proof of the statement, law, and order unable to solve over the year. Cloud-based e-governance plays a vital role in solve these issues helping to e-governance services. Citizens easily access government services and provide transparent activities with the help of cloud e-governance applications. This paper discusses cloud computing and cloud-based e-governance in India and to adopt cloud computing in e-Governance applications, challenges and also extended to the usage of cloud-based e-governance.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly changing our society to a world where every “thing” is connected to the Internet, making computing pervasive like never before. This tsunami of connectivity and data collection relies more and more on the Cloud, where data analytics and intelligence actually reside. Cloud computing has indeed revolutionized the way computational resources and services can be used and accessed, implementing the concept of utility computing whose advantages are undeniable for every business. However, despite the benefits in terms of flexibility, economic savings, and support of new services, its widespread adoption is hindered by the security issues arising with its usage. From a security perspective, the technological revolution introduced by IoT and Cloud computing can represent a disaster, as each object might become inherently remotely hackable and, as a consequence, controllable by malicious actors. While the literature mostly focuses on the security of IoT and Cloud computing as separate entities, in this article we provide an up-to-date and well-structured survey of the security issues of cloud computing in the IoT era. We give a clear picture of where security issues occur and what their potential impact is. As a result, we claim that it is not enough to secure IoT devices, as cyber-storms come from Clouds.

Cloud computing is a technology that allows dynamic and flexible computing capability and storage through on-demand delivery and pay-as-you-go services over the Internet. This technology has brought significant advances in the Information Technology (IT) domain. In the last few years, the evolution of cloud computing has led to the development of new technologies such as cloud federation, edge computing, and fog computing. However, with the development of Internet of Things (IoT), several challenges have emerged with these new technologies. Therefore, this paper discusses each of the emerging cloud-based technologies, as well as their architectures, opportunities, and challenges. We present how cloud computing evolved from one paradigm to another through the interplay of benefits such as improvement in computational resources through the combination of the strengths of various Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), decrease in latency, improvement in bandwidth, and so on. Furthermore, the paper highlights the application of different cloud paradigms in the healthcare ecosystem.

Applications are often multi-tier and require application servers, workflow engines, and database management systems. Cloud computing is a computing paradigm wherein the resources such as processors, storage, and software applications are provided as services via the Internet. Moving an enterprise application to the cloud can be a challenge. This application needs to be split into the components that then automatically deploy on the cloud. In this chapter, the authors introduce a way to automatically derivate the main architecture components from the software requirements that can serve as a basis for an architecture diagram in the MOCCA method. The proposed approach is model and use case driven.

One of the most significant innovation in the Information Technology (IT) industry after the introduction of the personal computer and the internet is Cloud computing. Cloud computing seems to offer some incredible benefits for communicators: the availability of an incredible array of software applications, access to lightning-quick processing power, unlimited storage, and the ability to easily share and process information. All of this is available through your browser any time you can access the Internet. While this might all appear enticing, there remain issues of reliability, portability, privacy, and security. When our private data are out-sourced in cloud computing, we should guarantee the confidentiality and searchability of the private data. Our paper provides a new approach to avoid the disclosure of the sensitive attributes of users when user ask for service from the Service Provider (SP) in cloud computing.

Cloud computing is a promising computing paradigm wherein computational resources such as processors, storage, and software applications are provided as services to the clients over high bandwidth networks. The diverse software services (SaaS) in a Cloud may not exist in isolation; they require interaction with each other in order to accomplish tasks. Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) enables applications to be designed and developed as a collection of services, each accessible through well-defined interfaces specified for the purpose. Since SOA inherently fosters interoperability, it would enhance the integration and interaction among the Cloud software services. However, hardware and software technologies are constantly evolving at a tremendous pace and technology obsolescence is a major challenge to the software industry. Consequently, a software development approach that could alleviate the undesirable effects of technology shifts is desirable. In this perspective, the Model Driven Architecture (MDA) becomes a preferred methodology for developing software applications. This chapter proposes to integrate the three paradigms, namely Cloud computing, SOA, and MDA, to yield Cloud software services that are robust, flexible, and agile. Convergence of SOA and MDA paradigms in the development of Cloud software services will provide an apt solution to technology obsolescence.

Cloud Computing is one of the emerging technologies in all fields and is called as the type of computing relayed on the internet. The main functions of Cloud Computing are hosting and delivering of various software and services using the internet. Depending on the demands and requirements of the user, the cloud computing affords the main computational resources to users as service. The main computational resources are larger storage space, server with high performance, various operating systems for various platforms and Network. This paper has surveyed the various concepts related to cloud computing such as, the architecture, types and models for deployment, applications, advantages and disadvantages. The main goal of this paper is to provide a better knowledge about the cloud computing and its issues in the research on various domains.
