Management can choose accounting policies for expected earnings reporting. This study purpose to examineeffect of corporate governance mechanism managerial ownership, such as audit committees, board size, composition of independent commissioners, board size, and firm size. The sample used is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2014-2015. Institutional investors, managerial ownership, audit committees, have a positive coefficient. This shows that the independent variable has a positive influence on earnings management that means earnings management changes in the direction of changes in the independent variables. The proportion of independent commissioners, board size, firm size has a negative coefficient. This shows that these independent variables has a negative influence on earnings management which means earnings management changes direction with changes in the independent variable. The Purpose Of This Research Is To Analyze Determinants Of Firm Performance In Non-Financial Companies Listed On Indonesia Stock Exchange. Determinants That Are Tested In This Research Include: Board Independence, Board Size, Firm Size, Firm Age, Liquidity, Leverage, Managerial Ownership, Female Board Members. The Object In This Research Is Non-Financial Companies Listed From 2011 Until 2014. The Population Of This Research Is 378 Non-Financial Companies. Sampling Techniques That Used In This Research Is Purposive Sampling. There Are 30 Non-Financial Companies Listed From 2011 To 2014 Which Met The Criterion Used As Sample. The Data Used Is Secondary Data That Collected From Financial Statement Of The Company. Analysis Method Of This Research Is Multiple Linier Regressions. The Result Of This Research Conclude That Board Independence, Leverage, And Female Board Members Have Influence Toward Firm Performance. Other Variable Such As Board Size, Managerial Ownership, Firm Size, Liquidity, And Age Firm Don’t Have Influence To Firm Performance.

Purpose of this research is to find the empirical proof that the board composition, board size, the existence of audit committees, company size and managerial ownership affects some earnings management. With Corporate Governance in the company are expected to affect corporate earnings management actions. This research uses the entire population of IDX services company in the year 2005-2007, using purposive sampling techniques sampling the sample obtained by 25 companies. The results using multiple regression analysis is the composition of the board of commissioners, the overall effect of revenue management. This is evidenced by the significance value of 0.002 <0.05. Board size effect on earnings management. This is evidenced by the significance 0.018 <0.05. Audit committees have no effect on earnings management .. This is evidenced by the significance 0.236> 0.05. Size does not affect the company’s revenue management, as evidenced by the value of significance 0.222 <0.05. Managerial ownership has no effect on earnings management, as evidenced by the significance value of 0.581> 0.05.

The intent of this research is  obtained empirical evidence related to several factors that influence earnings management. The independent variable used in this research are firm size, firm age, firm financial leverage, audit quality, board of director, board of commissioner, audit committee meetings, managerial ownership, profitability, and firm growth, with the dependent variable earnings management. Non financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange(BEI) during 2014 until 2018 are the object of this research. The data used are secondary data (financial statement and annual report) from www.idx.co.id. Purposive sampling method is used in the sample selection. Sixty two companies which match the criteria are used as the research sample. This research use multiple regression in observing the effect of each variable. The results of this research indicate that firm size, firm age, board of commissioner, and firm growth influence earnings management. While firm financial leverage, audit quality, board of director, audit committee meetings, managerial ownership, and profitability do not affect earnings management.

Objective - The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of motivational bonus, leverage, firm size, corporate governance (audit committee's size, the proportion of independent commissioners, institutional ownership, managerial ownership) and free cash flow on earnings management. Methodology/Technique - Earnings management is analyzed in this research using the modified Jones model. The population for the research consists of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2013-2015. The final sample includes 60 manufacturing companies. Findings - The result of this study indicate that motivational bonus, leverage, firm size and free cash flow have an influence on earnings management practices. Motivational bonuses and free cash flow as opportunistic behavior also influence earnings management. In addition, leverage and firm size as external monitoring mechanism influence earnings management practices while audit committee size, the proportion of independent commissioners, institutional ownership and managerial ownership as corporate governance practices in companies has no significant effect on earnings management practices. Hence, it is concluded that corporate governance has no effect on earnings management practices in Indonesia. <p><em>The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of GCG variables, firm size, and leverage on earnings management. The sample used is 35 public listed property and real estatecompanies in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2015 until 2017. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. This study uses multiple regression. The results of the analysis showed that managerial ownership does not have a negative effect on earnings management but oppositely, it has a positive effect on earnings management, while company size does not have any effect on earning management.</em><em> </em></p>

This study aims to determine the effect of firm size, leverage, managerial ownership, listing age and audit committee on earnings persistence. The data used is data on banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2015-2017. The sample selection uses a purposive sampling method. The samples that fit the criteria were 29 companies during the 2015-2017 observation period, so that the final number of observational data was 87 (3 × 29). Then data were analyzed using the SPSS 22 application.The results of this study indicate that firm size, managerial ownership and listing age do not affect earnings persistence. While leverage and audit committees negatively affect earnings persistence. Variables of company size, leverage, managerial ownership, listing age and audit committee jointly influence the persistence of earnings.

This study aims to determine the effect of tax planning, managerial ownership and company size on earnings management in the manufacturing companies of the automotive sub sector and components listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Sampling in this study uses purposive sampling, namely the determination of samples based on certain criteria, the sample used is 4 (four) automotive sub sector manufacturing companies and components that have met the specified criteria. The results of this study indicate that partially tax planning has a positive and not significant effect on earnings management while managerial ownership and company size have a positive and significant effect on earnings management. However, simultaneous tax planning, managerial ownership and firm size have a positive and significant effect on earnings management. From the results of this study, researchers provide some suggestions for further research to get better results because the results obtained by researchers are still lacking and further research needs to be done.

ABSTRACT This reseach amied at knowing the influence of audit quality, propotion of independent commissioner, audit committe, firm size, managerial ownership and leverage. It used purposive sampling technique or choosing samples based on certain criteria. The sample of this research was 25 companies of banking industry in indonesia stock exchange period 2008-2012. Descriptive analysis, classical test, as well as multiple linear regression by examining the hypothesis using SPSS 20.0 were used to analyzed the data. The result shows that (1) all independent variables simultaneously hasinfluence on earnings management; (2) however partially audit committee, audit quality, managerial ownership and leverage do not affect significantly to earnings management; (3) only firm size and independent commissioner that affect significantly to earning management. Nowdays, most researches in corporate governance field are conducted by researchers based on rising of many firms to become public corporation. According to this situation, they have to separate their functions on ownership and control of the firm. As result, it will arise agency conflict between owners and managers. The corporation enable solve the problem by apply the corporate governance mechanism optimally. This research is a replication research is conducted by Sanda et al (2005). It’s explained the specific study about the impact of corporate governance mechanism include managerial ownership, board size, outside directors, ownership concentration, and debt toward financial performance that measured by ROA, ROE, PER, and TOBINS’Q. The samples of this research are all corporations which listed at Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) by all sectors that delivered financial statement on time by regulation. The period of time in this research determined on 2005-2007. The model is extended by quadratic of managerial ownership, quadratic of board size, quadratic of ownership concentration, CEO foreign and firm size as control variables, and sectoral dummy. The result of this research explained that corporate governance mechanism simultaneously influence to ROA and ROE significantly. On partially, ROA is influenced by CEO foreign, debt, and firm size significantly. And ROE is inluenced by CEO foreign, firm size, and sector of basic industry significantly.

Earnings management is a manager's deliberate action to manipulate financial statements with permissible limits with the aim of providing incorrect information for users of financial statements. The variables tested in this study consisted of independent variables and dependent variables. The independent variables tested in this study consisted of independent board of commissioners, managerial ownership, audit committee, and board of commissioners. While the dependent variable is earnings management as measured by the modified Jones model discretionary accruals. This study uses 52 data on manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2019. Sampling using the purpose sampling method. All data obtained from the company's annual financial statements. The results of this research show that partially independent board of commissioners and managerial ownership have no effect on earnings management, while the size of the board of commissioners and audit committee has a positive effect on earnings management.
