Since 2012, management of PTPN V Pekanbaru implemented a new system of performance appraisal, named Competency-Based Performance Management (CBPM) for replaced the earlier system. The difference between CBPM and the earlier system is CBPM use a set of measured performance indicator, while in the old system, performance appraisal done by graphic rating scale method. One of performance appraisal effectiveness indicator is organizational justice on performance appraisal. The purpose of this study is to analyze organizational justice in performance appraisal and their influence on satisfaction toward performance appraisal and employee’s performance. Data collected from 196 respondents from managerial employee by a set of online questionnaire with purposive sampling’s technique. Descriptive analysis carried out by mean value’s analysis and range’s criteria analysis. Hypothesis testing has done by Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis. The descriptive analysis shows that organizational justice in the performance appraisal had run well and the employees had satisfied toward the performance appraisal. SEM-PLS analysis shows that organizational justice in performance appraisal effect to satisfaction of performance appraisal and employee’s performance significantly. Satisfaction toward performance appraisal does not play a role in mediating the influence of justice in the performance appraisal to employee performance

This study discussed employee turnover as one of the crucial problems faced by every organization. This study sought to analyze the determinants of turnover intention, such as job insecurity, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. The objects of this study were newcomer lecturers of private Islamic universities in East Java Province, Indonesia. To analyze the relationship among independent variables and dependent variable; this study employed a correlation path model. To build the structural formulation of the correlation path model, this study used the variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as a Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The study found that job insecurity influenced job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Moreover, job satisfaction and organizational commitment had positive impacts on the turnover intention. In contrast, job insecurity did not have a direct significant impact on the turnover intention, but it had indirect effect that influences job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

PurposeThis study aims to investigate whether strategy pillars have a positive direct effect on organizational productivity performance (OPP) in the Indonesian HEI (Higher Education Institutions) research setting and, if so, whether the effect is mediated by a performance management system (PMS).Design/methodology/approachThis study used quantitative research employing partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the hypotheses. A mediation model of the research framework was developed to investigate the mediating role of PMS.FindingsUsing a sample of 182 Indonesian HEI managers, the results indicate that strategy pillars have a positive effect on OPP. Further analysis shows that PMS partially mediates the strategy pillar–OPP relationship.Research limitations/implicationsThis study has limitations. Firstly, the sample size used was relatively small and this may raise the issue of generalization. Secondly, it used a Likert scale and therefore may raise the issue of judgment bias. Lastly, this study is context-specific for Indonesia and caution should be used when generalizing it to other countries.Practical implicationsTo enhance the HEIs productivity performance, the HEI managers should develop strong strategy pillars for the purpose of effective strategy formulation and execution.Social implicationsThis study provides a model showing how to improve the HEIs productivity performance by employing strategy pillars and a PMS. The better the performance of the HEIs, the better the quality of life of society in the era of the knowledge economy.Originality/valueStrategy pillars have rarely been researched. This study is therefore one of the few studies on strategy pillars. This study also provides new elements related to measuring strategy pillars, PMS and OPP in the context of HEIs in Indonesia as an emerging economy.

The conformity of employee competencies with their positions and innovation in work implementation is required by the presence of the Civil Servants (PNS) professional demands. Knowledge management is necessary to fulfill the knowledge needs of employees so that competence, innovation, and employee performance can be improved. This study aims to analyze the effect of knowledge management, competence, and innovation on employee performance. All employees in the Finance and Equipment Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture were involved as the research object. The data were obtained using the census method of 103 Finance and Equipment Bureau employees, interviews with appraisal officials and personnel managers, and employee performance appraisals in 2019. The data processing uses Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM PLS) analysis. This study indicates that knowledge management has a significant effect on innovation and competence, whereas innovation significantly affects performance. However, knowledge management and competence do not seem to have a significant effect on employee performance. Knowledge management indirectly has a significant effect on performance through innovation. Nevertheless, knowledge management does not seem to have a significant effect on performance through competence. The suggestion for further research is it shall be conducted in a work unit that requires special skills so that the employee competence is taken into consideration.

This study aims to determine the incidence of PSA and the factors that influence it. The study was conducted on 78 patients with neurologic stroke at ANNA Medika Madura Hospital from May to July 2021 and aged over 40 years using simple random sampling. Measuring tools using Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale, vascular disorders, stroke disorders, and Neurophysiological disorders. Analysis using the Structural Equation Modeling with the software Partial Least Square. Based on the results of statistical tests, it was found that demographic factors (T-statistics 1.756), vascular disorders factor (T-statistics 2.873), stroke disturbance factor (T-statistics 2.164), and neurophysiological disorders factor (T-statistic 3.070). The factor that had the greatest influence on PSA was the neurophysiological factor, with the most influencing subfactor being the cognitive function of stroke patients indicated with MMSE results. Stroke patients with decreased cognitive function will affect the effectiveness of the rehabilitation program. This will lead to an increase in their anxiety with the subsequent effect being a decrease in the quality of life in stroke patients. So rated important for the power of Health assess cognitive function is to reduce PSA.

The development of Halal industry points out an amazing result around the world, including Indonesia. Surprisingly, the biggest contributor for its growth is Micro, Smalland Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). In order to improve its significant contribution, thecombination of Halal MSMEs and Islamic financing becomes very crucial. Nevertheless, there is still a lack of awareness of the concept and of intention from MSMEs regardingthe penetration of Islamic financing. Therefore, this study investigates the determinantsaffecting the MSMEs’ desire for utilizing Islamic financing from the Islamic financialinstitution and encouraging Halal MSMEs to adopt Islamic financing in all businessactivities. A survey was conducted on 58 MSMEs in Yogyakarta, Indonesia byemploying self-administered questionnaire as the main approach for data collection.By using Structural Equation Modeling- Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis, thisstudy reveals that from the variables examined, Cost Benefit and Halal Awareness arethe two factors that have impact on the Use of Islamic Financing. In addition, CostBenefit and Reputation are the two variables that have direct impact on the Attitudeof MSMEs toward Islamic Financing. Interestingly, this research also finds that Berkahas the key component in Islamic financing will be gained by MSMEs when they useIslamic financing instrument, and, thus will encourage Halal MSMEs’ intention to reuseIslamic financing. The present study investigated the effect of talent management practices on performance sustainability in the sports industry. The study used the deductive reasoning approach to predict new cricketer performance sustainability. The hypotheses were tested using partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques. The self-administered structured questionnaires were used to collect data. The total sample size was 270, which were collected from respondents playing in Bangladesh Premier League domestic and international matches. The results revealed that onboarding and engagement, player development, performance management, and strategic teamwork planning positively influence performance sustainability. However, the findings suggested that policymakers and other concerned authorities should implement this result to sustain players' performance continuously. This is the first paper that applies talent management practices to magnify performance sustainability.
