Recently, organizations are becoming more intelligent, flexible, and efficient by using new digital technologies in human resources management (HRM). The HRM solutions are considered as an important source to support strategic decisions, create value within and across organizations for employees and management. Today, organizations are facing challenges for gig workers to retain the level of progression and development required for business continuity. Gigs are generally self-employed who are very hard to manage without having a solid e-HRMS that can fulfill their needs in addition to the permeate employee needs as well. The main objective of this chapter is to highlight digital transformation in HRM and dive into the e-HRM concept, development stages, types, and strategies. In addition, it shows how e-HRM contributes to increase the effectiveness of human resources. It will also discuss multiple dimensions about the gig work management (GWM) including the contracting methodologies, policies, and behaviors that the e-HRM need to consider for the gig workers.

A profile of manager represents characteristics of a person performing a managerial position, i.e., it includes qualities such as knowledge, skills, and competencies within a specific specialty that provides the ability to carry out managerial duties and responsibilities successfully. The reason for obtaining this information is to build a profile of managers in organizations providing social care, as this area has not been elaborated in detail in the Czech Republic.This study aims to identify and describe the profiles of managers in organizations providing social services in the South Bohemian Region. The study was conducted using semi-structured interviews with 24 managers of selected organizations providing social services in the South Bohemian Region until the information obtained was sufficient. Data were processed using open, selective, and axial coding. Managers were asked about their job descriptions, their skills and education, and the specifics of their duties and responsibilities within their organizations. The results show that manager profiles are influenced by the type of organization and the organization’s funding. The results of the study showed that specific managerial duties and responsibilities are based on the type of social service provided. These duties and responsibilities are also based on the clients of services and the frequency of services provided. Abstract This article reflects an applied theoretical study that addresses the relationship between emotional intelligence, occupational stress, motivation and job satisfaction in the employees of a machine tool manufacturer.Emotional intelligence is very important and indispensable for managers in Romanian institutions, leaders wanting all employees to fulfill their obligations and responsibilities in a pleasant environment, without stress, to have effective productivity. The aim of the paper is to manage emotions, stress and time, follow rules and is to observe the relationship between EQ and work management. Emotional states must be aware, understood and controlled to achieve our goals and purpose.It describes the basic concepts, basic psychological models, purpose, objective, research hypothesis, methodology, tools for measuring emotional intelligence and job satisfaction. The main objective highlights the emotional intelligence of the people involved in the organization, an objective applied at individual and group level that leads to increasing the quality of production. Observation, interview, questionnaire, analysis and data synthesis were used as research methods. The research has 4 hypotheses that have been demonstrated. Statistical analyzes were performed using the SPSS 20 program, focusing on descriptive statistics, percentage frequency analysis, correlations. Emotional intelligence is indispensable in leadership positions, and job satisfaction is directly associated with productivity and efficiency in an organization.

To evaluate the association between dentists’ profile and health work management with the performance of primary care dental teams in the Brazilian National Health System, both nationally and regionally. Secondary data analysis from a Brazilian National Programme that evaluated 18,114 Brazilian dental teams, working in the public sector, between 2013 and 2014. Twenty-four independent variables taken from dentists’ profile and dental team management characteristics were analysed to assess their influence on reported “dental team performance.” An estimated score was generated from their performance on 20 dental procedures by an item response theory model. Multiple linear regression models were performed for each Brazilian geographical region, separately and for the whole of Brazil. p values ≤ 0.05 were considered significant. Two variables related to dentists’ profile, “having graduate studies” ( β = 0.151 ) and “undertaking continuing professional development training” ( β = 0.101 ), were associated with enhanced dental team performance in all five Brazilian geographical regions and nationally. The dental team management variables of “having a flexible dental appointment list” ( β = 0.218 ) and “monitoring oral health indicators” ( β = 0.132 ) also contributed to improve team performance in each of the regions and nationally. Dentists’ profile influenced the performance of dental teams from south region more than the other regions. The findings suggest that continuing professional development, including postgraduate education, and strategic management characteristics are important for primary dental care performance and should be reflected in health policy initiatives in support of quality care. Regional factors could be considered for health care management.

The article presents an analysis of different approaches of domestic scientists to the interpretation of the concept of «social work management». The author surveys the features of management as an object of governance in the activities of a social worker. Features include the social nature of management information; the need for motivation methods that effectively influences and motivates professionals to better results in social work; availability of social workers' professional competence; the presence of problems with forecasting the results of management in the social sphere; the importance of current and final management results. The author proves the necessity of social workers' self-management skills (time management, motivation, stress resistance and recuperation, development of emotional intelligence) for the effective performance of management tasks in professional activities.  The article highlights the principles that should be followed in solving organizational and managerial tasks in social work management (purposefulness, ability of realization, adaptability, efficiency). The researcher presents the structure of social work management methods in the study (economic, administrative, social counselling, psychological and pedagogical influence, social influence). Research characterizes the methods of social work management while working with recipients of social services (methods of individual social work, methods of group social work, methods of community work, methods of social service design).

Form representation is essential for any area that involves the creation of artefacts, since without it the project is just an idea in the mental field. In general terms, it is the ability to perceive and understand shapes and represent them through perspectives and orthographic views, as well as through models and geometric models. Given the issues raised, it is possible to understand the importance of knowledge related to the graphic representation of architecture for professionals involved with the Aeco Industry (Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operation) and, also the relevance of graphic geometry disciplines on the development of Visiographic Three-dimensional Capacity. So, this paper aims to investigate the impact caused by the use of traditional and digital media in the teaching of graphic representation. To this end, two groups of students were compared, one exposed to the use of both media - analogic and digital - and another that used just digital media. From the application of questionnaires, it was possible to identify the student’s profile, their preferences of media and difficulties encountered. The work presumes that students exposed to more disciplines of graphic geometry will have less difficulties compared to those who had less contact. The main results indicated that: there is a preference, in both groups, for digital media to perform practical activities; the need to adapt the content to each specific engineering and that the most significant difficulties were related to work management, regardless of the media used.

Hospital healthcare workers of emergency departments (EDs) face a variety of occupational stressors on a daily basis. We have recently published that emergency professionals display increased salivary levels of α-amylase and dehydroepiandrosterone during the working day. The pattern of these markers may suggest a counteracting mechanism of dehydroepiandrosterone against the stress reflected by amylase increases. In order to verify this hypothesis, we have analysed different psychological aspects in the same group of healthcare professionals through different tests related to behaviours resulting from stress. These include the state-trait anxiety inventory, the self-efficacy test and the sleeping quality questionnaire. The tests were provided at the beginning of the working day and collected at the end. STAI scores (trait and state) were indicative of no anxiety. Self-efficacy scores were considered optimal, as well as those from the sleeping quality questionnaire. This is supported by the modest correlation between STAI scores and salivary levels of α-amylase and dehydroepiandrosterone. In conclusion, the emergency professionals of the studied hospitals seem to have adequate work management. Altogether it means that the stress generated during work performance is controlled, allowing a correct adaptation to the demanding situations undergone in emergency departments.

This study aims to find out 1). Innovative work planning for teachers of SMA Negeri 1 of South Halmahera and SMA AL-Khairaat Labuha, 2). The implementation of innovative work of teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Halmahera and SMA Al-Khairaat Labuha, 3). Supervision of innovative work of teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Halmahera and SMA Al-Khairaat Labuha, and 4). The assessment of innovative work of teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Halmahera and SMA Al-Khairaat Labuha. This study used qualitative approach with narrative research method and the research design used was a multi-site study, where first site is SMA Negeri 1 south Halmahera and second site is SMA AL-Khairaat Labuha where the locus located in south Halmahera district. The results showed that 1). The teachers innovative work planning at the two research sites was compiled through a process consisting of two stages, problem identification and alternative problem-solving option. Establishing teachers’ innovative work development plan and applying the principles of deliberation and consensus, 2). The implementation of innovative work of teachers at the two research sites based on the predetermined work plan and is supported by managerial behaviour in the form of providing motivation, communicating face to face and through the electronic medium such as smartphone and supported by teacher behaviour in the form of being committed to achieving innovative work development goal, 3). Supervision of teacher innovative work consists of three types of supervision which include before, during, and after the implementation of the teachers’ innovative work development plan, 4). The assessment of teachers’ innovative work is carried out through an assessment process consisting of three stages of measuring, comparing, and taking managerial action.
