Based on Construal-level theory, this study hypothesized that self-actualization positively relates to employees’ taking charge, and self-actualization affects creative performance and normal performance through taking charge positively, but the effect is different. The authors selected a cross-sectional design to investigate interrelations amongst study variables at two different time points with the interval of one month, and surveyed 417 team members and 186 immediate team leaders in the banking sector in Pakistan. The authors used individual-level data to evaluate the validity and test the proposed relationships by using Mplus. They revealed that self-actualization affects taking charge positively, and taking charge mediated the relationship with the difference in effect e.g. taking charge has high effect on creative performance in comparison to normal performance. The outcomes carry important implications aimed at increasing high-level self-actualization that results in taking charge, and so on leads to creative and normal performance.

<b><i>Introduction:</i></b> Outcome assessment for hearing aids (HAs) is an essential part of HA fitting and validation. There is no consensus about the best or standard approach for evaluating HA outcomes. And, the relationship between objective and subjective measures is ambiguous. This study aimed to determine the outcomes after HA fitting, explore correlations between subjective benefit and acoustic gain improvement as well as objective audiologic tests, and investigate several variables that may improve patients’ perceived benefits. <b><i>Methods:</i></b> Eighty adults with bilateral symmetrical hearing loss using HAs for at least 1 month were included in this study. All subjects completed the pure tone average (PTA) threshold and word recognition score (WRS) tests in unaided and aided conditions. We also administered the Chinese version of International Outcome Inventory for Hearing Aids (IOI-HA), to measure participants’ subjective benefits. Objective HA benefit (acoustic gain improvement) was defined as the difference in thresholds or scores between aided and unaided conditions indicated with ΔPTA and ΔWRS. Thus, patients’ baseline hearing levels were taken into account. Correlations were assessed among objective audiologic tests (PTA and WRS), acoustic gain improvement (ΔPTA and ΔWRS), multiple potential factors, and IOI-HA overall scores. <b><i>Results:</i></b> PTA decreased significantly, but WRS did not increase when aided listening was compared to unaided listening. Negative correlations between PTAs and IOI-HA scores were significant but weak (<i>r</i> = −0.370 and <i>r</i> = −0.393, all <i>p</i> &#x3c; 0.05). Significant weak positive correlations were found between WRSs and IOI-HA (<i>r</i> = 0.386 and <i>r</i> = 0.309, all <i>p</i> &#x3c; 0.05). However, there was no correlation among ΔPTA, ΔWRS, and IOI-HA (<i>r</i> = 0.056 and <i>r</i> = −0.086, all <i>p</i> &#x3e; 0.05). Moreover, 2 nonaudiological factors (age and daily use time) were significantly correlated with IOI-HA (<i>r</i> = −0.269 and <i>r</i> = 0.242, all <i>p</i> &#x3c; 0.05). <b><i>Conclusions:</i></b> Correlations among objective audiologic tests, acoustic gain, and subjective patient-reported outcomes were weak or absent. Subjective questionnaires and objective tests do not reflect the same hearing capability. Therefore, it is advisable to evaluate both objective and subjective outcomes when analyzing HA benefits on a regular basis and pay equal attention to nonaudiological and audiological factors.

This article examines the propensity to pay dividends in the U.S banking sector during 1973–2014. Although the propensity to pay dividends has been declining over the 52 years of our sample period, banks are consistently more likely to pay dividends than non-financial firms. Using the coefficients from logit models estimated early in the sample period to forecast the percentage of dividend payers in each subsequent year, we conclude that there has been a decline in the likelihood of paying dividends in the banking sector. However, the decline started from a very high level as compared to that of the non-banking sectors. In addition, the variables taken from the non-financial firm literature do not explain the difference between the actual and expected percentage of dividend payers in the banking sector. We also conduct exploratory analyses with bank-specific variables. Although newly included variables are significantly related to the likelihood of paying dividends, they do not explain the declining propensity to pay dividends in the banking sector.

Objective: To investigate the uptake and vaccination willingness of the COVID-19 vaccine among Chinese residents and analyze the difference and factors that impact vaccination. Methods: The snowball sampling method was used to distribute online questionnaires. Relevant sociodemographic data along with the circumstances of COVID-19 vaccination were collected from the respondents. The χ2 test, independent samples t test and binary logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the data. Results: Among 786 respondents, 84.22% had been vaccinated. Over 80% of the vaccinated population have completed all the injections because of supporting the national vaccination policies of China, while the unvaccinated population (23.91%) is mainly due to personal health status. Meanwhile, statistical analysis revealed that the main predictors of not being vaccinated were younger age (3 to 18 years old), personal health status, and lower vaccinated proportion of family members and close friends (p < 0.05). Conclusions: There was a high level of uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine in China, and people who have not been vaccinated generally had a low willingness to vaccinate in the future. Based on our results, it suggested the next work to expand the coverage of the COVID-19 vaccination should be concentrated on targeted publicity and education for people who have not been vaccinated.

Riwayat pemberian Air Susu Ibu (ASI), karakteristik ibu dan anak serta pola asuh berpengaruh terhadap kecerdasan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proporsi tingkat kecerdasan anak, riwayat pemberian ASI, karakteristik ibu dan anak, serta faktor dominan yang berhubungan dengan tingkat kecerdasan anak pada siswa SDSN Pekayon Jaya VI Kota Bekasi. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain potong lintang dengan metode systematic random sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 166 responden (siswa/i yang berumur 7 - 9 tahun) beserta ibunya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2013. Pada siswa dilakukan tes kecerdasan menggunakan tes Raven sedangkan ibunya mengisi kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kecerdasan rendah 6%, rata-rata 36,7%, dan tinggi 57,2%. Variabel yang berhubungan dengan kecerdasan adalah durasi pemberian ASI dan pendidikan ibu. Pendidikan ibu adalah faktor dominan terhadap kecerdasan, bahwa ibu yang berpendidikan tinggi berpeluang mempunyai anak dengan kecerdasan tinggi yaitu 3,556 kali lebih besar dibandingkan ibu berpendidikan rendah setelah dikontrol variabel durasi ASI. Untuk Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bekasi agar menyelenggarakan berbagai aktivitas seperti seminar/pelatihan/konseling bagi orang tua murid tentang pentingnya peran orangtua terhadap tumbuh kembang anak.Breastfeeding history, mother and children characteristics, and child care are considered influential on child intellegence. This study aimed to determine the proportion of exclusive breastfeeding, the level of childrens intellegence, mother and children characteristics, the relationship between duration of breastfeeding with the level of students intellegence. This research used a cross-sectional design and through systematic random sampling with a sample size of 166 respondents (students aged 7 - 9 years old) and their mothers. The intellegence was tested using the Raven test while their mothers were interviewed. The results showed that the level of childrens intellegence was high (57.2%), average (36.7%), and low (6%). Those variables which related to the intellegence level were duration of breastfeeding and the level of mothers education. The mothers education level is one of the factors which has higher effect, againts the childrens intellegence. Those mothers who have high level education will have probability 3,556 to have their children with high level intellegence (after controlling the duration breastfeeding). Suggestion; The Department of Education Bekasi city to organize activities relevant to the improving of parents in growth and development of their children through seminars/training/counseling.

Background: Several studies have demonstrated an association between obesity and migraine. It’s still unclear whether migraine is the cause or it's the result of obesity. Objective: We investigated the prevalence of migraine among obese and non-obese individuals and analyzed the relationship between migraine prevalence and obesity. Patients and Methods: This is cross-sectional observational study was carried out at the neurology outpatients’ department of the Rizgary Teaching Hospital in Erbil, Iraq, from July 1st , 2018 to September 30, 2019. We interviewed and examined 300 persons, both obese (n=154) and non-obese (n=146), and of both gender. All of them were adults (>18 years old). Each person's weight, height, body mass index (BMI), and waist circumference were measured.The diagnosis of migraine was made according to the International Headache Society’s criteria. Obesity was present if the individual’s BMI is ≥30 and/or waist-to-hip ratio is >0.9 in females and >1.0 in males. Results: Out of the 300 persons, 14 males (8.5%) got migraines while migraine was found in 37 females (27.4%), irrespective of their weight. Out of the 300 persons, the prevalence of migraine among obese individuals was 21.4% (n=33) and while in non-obese individuals was 12.3% (n=18). There was a statistically significant difference between the groups (p-value=0.045). The overall prevalence of migraine was 16.9% of the persons interviewed. Conclusion: The results showed that migraine is more prevalent among obese persons than non-obese persons and the difference was statistically significant. BACKGROUND Although previous studies have shown that a high level of health literacy can improve patients’ ability to engage in health-related shared decision-making (SDM) and improve their quality of life, few studies have investigated the role of eHealth literacy in improving patient satisfaction with SDM (SSDM) and well-being. OBJECTIVE This study aims to assess the relationship between patients’ eHealth literacy and their socioeconomic determinants and to investigate the association between patients’ eHealth literacy and their SSDM and well-being. METHODS The data used in this study were obtained from a multicenter cross-sectional survey in China. The eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS) and Investigating Choice Experiments Capability Measure for Adults were used to measure patients’ eHealth literacy and capability well-being, respectively. The SSDM was assessed by using a self-administered questionnaire. The Kruskal-Wallis one-way analysis of variance and Wilcoxon signed-rank test were used to compare the differences in the eHEALS, SSDM, and Investigating Choice Experiments Capability Measure for Adults scores of patients with varying background characteristics. Ordinary least square regression models were used to assess the relationship among eHealth literacy, SSDM, and well-being adjusted by patients’ background characteristics. RESULTS A total of 569 patients completed the questionnaire. Patients who were male, were highly educated, were childless, were fully employed, were without chronic conditions, and indicated no depressive disorder reported a higher mean score on the eHEALS. Younger patients (SSDM<sub>≥61 years</sub>=88.6 vs SSDM<sub>16-30 years</sub>=84.2) tended to show higher SSDM. Patients who were rural residents and were well paid were more likely to report good capability well-being. Patients who had a higher SSDM and better capability well-being reported a significantly higher level of eHealth literacy than those who had lower SSDM and poorer capability well-being. The regression models showed a positive relationship between eHealth literacy and both SSDM (<i>β</i>=.22; <i>P</i>&lt;.001) and well-being (<i>β</i>=.26; <i>P</i>&lt;.001) after adjusting for patients’ demographic, socioeconomic status, lifestyle, and health status variables. CONCLUSIONS This study showed that patients with a high level of eHealth literacy are more likely to experience optimal SDM and improved capability well-being. However, patients’ depressive status may alter the relationship between eHealth literacy and SSDM. CLINICALTRIAL

The research aims to test the relationship between accounting conservatism and hedging in the Iraqi banking sector. The research dealt with a sample of (12) banks listed in the Iraqi Stock Exchange from 2009-2019, with (132) views, and the(unconditional) accounting conservatism was identified. As an independent variable andaccounting hedging as a dependent variable, the (unconditional) accountingconservatism was measured through the market value model to the book, while the accounting hedging was measured as a dummy dust, and the results indicated a statistically significant correlation between accounting conservatism and accounting hedging.  orientation of the study sample towards proactive accounting conservatism according to its unconditional scale leads to a reduction in the adoption of accounting hedging tools in managing the risks of financial instruments. The reason for this may be due to the presence of a high level of accounting conservatism that makes the bank safe sort of a lot of dangers. This study aims to identify the level of transformational leadership of principals and the level of school effectiveness in TS25 schools in Gua Musang District, Kelantan. In addition, this study also seeks to look at the relationship between the two variables involved, transformational leadership and school effectiveness. This quantitative study by cross-sectional survey method used two types of instruments, namely the Transformational leadership instrument by Leithwood and Jantzi (1999) and the school effectiveness instrument adapted from the study of Lazaridou and Iordanidis (2011. The sampling of the study involved four TS25 secondary schools with a total of 162 teachers. The findings of the study showed that the level of transformational leadership of principals and the level of school effectiveness was at a high level, with values (M = 4.17, SP = .604) and (M = 4.19, SP = .613) respectively. Further, correlation analysis showed that there was a very strong and significant relationship (r = .89, p <.01) between the two variables involved, namely transformational leadership and school effectiveness. It is hoped that the findings of this study can be used as a guide by the parties involved, especially the Ministry of Education Malaysia in strengthening the characteristics of high-performing leadership among school administrators towards improving school effectiveness through professionalism programs.

The aim of this paper is to present an analysis of the relationship between concentration of the banking sector and banks' markups on offered loans. The markup is understood as the difference between the rate offered by banks and the reference rate fixed by the Monetary Policy Council. The period between 2009 and 2013 was analyzed. Monthly data from the Polish banking sector were considered. This paper also consists of the literature review, which focuses on the mortgage market. The methodology used for the analysis is based mainly on simple linear regression techniques. It is found that such methods are not sufficient to give conclusive answers. Therefore additional future research is proposed.

Purpose The effect of empowering leadership on knowledge sharing is well defined, but factors that stimulate employees for knowledge sharing are still limited. Therefore, this study aims to address to what extent empowering leadership is desirable to create a trustful and fair environment that is conducive for an employee’s knowledge sharing. Design/methodology/approach Through integration of social exchange, equity and uncertainty management theories develop a moderating mediating model that links empowering leadership to knowledge sharing. Three-wave data collection from the sample of 375 managers–subordinates’ dyads was done in Pakistan textile industries. Findings Hierarchal regression analysis and bootstrapping method were applied to test the hypotheses. The results indicate that affective trust partially mediates the relationship between empowering leadership and knowledge sharing. More especially, the findings demonstrate that the relationship between empowering leadership and knowledge sharing becomes strong with high level of distributive and procedural justices. Practical implications This research study uses empowering leadership as a proposed motivational pathway for stimulating employee’s knowledge sharing through development of affective trust and buffering effect of distributive and procedural justices. Originality/value Most of previous research in knowledge sharing just cynosure organizational-level elements like leadership and organizational justices but deteriorate individual factors like trust. Therefore, this study will combine both organizational- and individual-level factors for urging employees for knowledge sharing.
