<em>The purpose of this research is to improve math problem solving skill through the implementation of cooperative learning model of Think Talk Write (TTW) type in grade V students of SD N Surakarta. Research subjects are researchers and 40 students of grade V SD N Surakarta. Techniques of collecting data conducted are any observation techniques, interviews, tests, and documentation. Validity of data used is the content validity, source triangulation, and triangulation technique. Based on the results of research indicate that the average pre-action value equal to 52,7 with classical completeness 22,50%, increase in cycle I equal to 72,73 with classical completeness 67,50%, and increase again 80,5 with classical thoroughness 90 %. Based on the data it can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model type Think-Talk-Write (TTW) can improve the skills of solving mathematics problems on the students of grade V SD N Surakarta academic year 2017/2018.</em>

TThe purpose of this study are: (1) To determine the ability of mathematical problem solving class X SMA Negeri 1 Wundulako taught using cooperative learning model Group Investigation. (2)To determine the ability of mathematical problem solving class X SMA Negeri 1 Wundulakoyang taught using conventional learning model in teaching trigonometry. (3) To determine whether the mathematical problem solving ability of students taught bycooperative learning model of Group Investigationbetter than mathematics problem solving ability of students taught by conventional learning models in Class 1 Wundulako State XSMA in teaching trigonometry. This type of research used experimental method. The population in this study were all students of class X are scattered in seven classes in parallel with the number of 155 people. Sampling was conducted using random cluster sampling technique. In this study as a sample taken two classes of the population that there is a class X2 as an experimental class and class X4 as the control class. From the results of data analysis showed that: (1) average math problem solving ability X2 grade students taught using cooperative learning model type investigative groups (Group Investigation), which consists of 19 students showed minimum value maximum value 96.00 72.00 , the average (mean)87.0526, median88.00 and mode86.00, With a variance40.608And standard deviation 6.37246, (2 average math problem solving ability X4 grade students taught using conventional learning model which consists of 22 students showed 68.00 minimum value, maximum value 96, 00 average (mean)82.3636, median82,00, and mode82.00, With a variance58.147And standard deviation7.62543, (3) the results of t-test analysis using independent samples t-test obtained t =2.116 on the significant 0,005 <α = 0.05then H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. With the rejection of H0, it can be concluded that the increase in mathematical problem solving ability of students taught using cooperative learning model type investigative groups (Group Investigation) is better than math problem solving ability of students taught using conventional learning models.

This study aims to describe the student's ability to solve math problems in the Differential Equation course in Polya's steps. This research is a descrip-tive study. The research subjects were the 6th-semester students of STKIP MPL for the 2018-2019 academic year. Data analysis used processed and pre-pared data, read the entire data, analyzed the detail, implemented the coding process, described themes, interpreted the data. The study found that the easy variable differential equation problems could be separated, 2 students understood the problem, 5 students initiated the solution, 4 students com-pleted through the plan, 2 students checked again, 2 students completed through the plan, no students checked again.

      This study aims to determine the effect of the Type STAD Cooperative Learning model on mathematical problem solving abilities. The data collection technique was obtained by means of a test in the form of description questions and documentation in the form of a list of student names. The research instrument used was 3 pre-test and post-test questions. The data analysis technique used is the normality test, homogeneity, t test with the technique of paired samples t-test and independent t-test.      The results showed that, the paired sample t-test on the problem solving ability before and after treatment with STAD obtained an average value of 50.29 to 83.71 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. This means that the students' scores before and after STAD learning have differences in the average mathematical problem solving abilities. Based on the results of the paired sample t-test on the ability to solve mathematical problems before and after treatment using conventional learning models, the average value was 44.57 to 75.79 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. This means that there is a significant increase before and after conventional learning. Based on the results of the independent samples t-test, the mean values were 83.71 and 75.79 with a significance value of 0.009 <0.05. This means that there is a difference in the average problem-solving ability of students in STAD learning with students in conventional learning. It can be concluded that the STAD type of cooperative learning model has an effect on students' problem solving abilities in mathematics.

Introduction: Mathematical problem solving ability is very important in mathematic learning, because is can help students to solve daily life problems better. But the students mathematical problem solve ability is not high yet, one of the factor is because many students only know the standard procedures of solving mathematics problems, and when the given problem are different from the examples they tend to give up easily. This comparative design study aims to find out the improvement of students mathematical problem solving ability using Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model with individual assignments and small group assignments, and to find out whether there are differences between those two. Method: The sample in this study was VII grade students at SMP Advent Cimindi and SMP Advent II Bandung, Bandung. The instruments used in the study are mathematical problem solving test and questionnaire for response toward the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model as the non-test instrument. Result: The results showed that the improvement of mathematical problem solving abilities of students who obtained the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model with individual assignments and students who obtained the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model by assigning small groups was categorized as high. Statistically, there is a significant difference in the students mathematical problem solving improvement after being taught using Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model, between students who get individual assignments and small group assignments. The response questionnaire result shows that students who acquire individual assignments like the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model, more further the students who acquire group assignments really like the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa kemampuan pemahaman dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan matematika tingkat tinggi yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap peserta didik. Selain itu kemampuan pemahaman dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis jarang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat menjadi alternatif bagi pembelajaran matematika dan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis adalah model pembelajaran IMPROVE. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan i-spring suite 8 pada model pembelajaran IMPROVE untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen karena penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol sebagai subyek penelitian. Cara pengambilan subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian dipilih sebanyak dua kelas dari keseluruhan peserta didik kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah Banyuresmi tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Dari hasil penelitian dan perhitungan statistik diperoleh kesimpulan: 1) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan i-spring suite 8 pada model pembelajaran IMPROVE; 2) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional/direct instruction; 3) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan i-spring suite 8 pada model pembelajaran IMPROVE dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional/direct instruction; 4) Tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan i-spring suite 8 pada model pembelajaran IMPROVE dan yang menggunakan model konvensional/direct instruction.Kata kunci: Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, Model IMPROVEABSTRACT This research is motivated by the fact that the ability to understand and the ability to solve mathematical problems is one of the high-level mathematical abilities that must be possessed by every student. One learning model that can be an alternative for mathematics learning and mathematical understanding and problem solving abilities is the IMPROVE learning model. This study aims to determine the application of ispring suite 8 on the IMPROVE learning model to improve students' mathematical understanding and problem solving abilities. The research method used is quasi-experimental because this study uses one experimental class and one control class as research subjects. The method of taking the research subject used was purposive sampling. The research subjects were selected as many as two classes from all grade XI students of SMA Muhammadiyah Banyuresmi in the 2019/2020 academic year. From the results of research and statistical calculations conclusions: 1) There is an increase in the ability to understand and solve mathematical problems of students who in learning use the i-spring suite 8 on the IMPROVE learning model; 2) There is an increase in the ability of understanding and solving mathematical problems of students who in learning use conventional learning models / direct instruction; 3) There is an increase in students' mathematical understanding and problem solving abilities in learning using i-spring suite 8 in the IMPROVE learning model compared to students in learning using conventional learning models / direct instruction; 4) There is no difference in the ability to understand and solve mathematical problems of students who in learning use the i-spring suite 8 on the IMPROVE learning model and who use the conventional model / direct instruction.Keywords: Mathematical Understanding Ability, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability, IMPROVE Model

AbstractThis study aims to improve students' problem-solving abilities with STAD cooperative learning model on the subject of integers class VII SMP Negeri 3 Galang. This type of  research is a classroom action research. The subjects were students of class VII-1 SMP Negeri 3 Assemble TA2014/2015 which amounted to28 students. The object of  this study is an effort to improve the ability of mathematical problem solving through cooperative learning model Student Team Achievement Division(STAD) on the subject of Integer. The research instrument used is the observation and mathematical problem solving ability test.  From the results of problem solving ability test, the data obtained were 9 students (32.14%), which reached the criteria of problem-solving abilities. After being given the treatment by applying the learning model STAD (first cycle), it is provided TKPMI .From the TKPMI data showed that as many as16students(57.14%) of the28students(2.74 value) that reaches criteria problem-solving abilities. This shows that in the first cycle of mathematical problem solving ability of students as a whole h as not reached 85%, the continued action on the second cycle. From the results TKPMII data showed that as many as 24 students (85.71%) of  the 28 students (3.15 value) that reaches criteria problem-solving abilities. This shows that the mathematical problem solving ability of students as a whole has reached 85%, then the action is stopped. Based on t he above results, it can be concluded that by applying STAD cooperative learning model can improve students' mathematical problem solving ability on the subject of integers in class VII SMP Negeri 3Galang.Keywords: STAD, improve, test, problem, solving

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang memperoleh  pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran secara langsung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa MTs Negeri di kabupaten Labuhanbatu yang berakreditasi A dan B. Sampel penelitian ini adalah MTs Negeri 1 Labuhanbatu dan MTs Negeri 2 berjumlah117 siswa. Validitas instrument angket dilakukan dengan analisis butir menggunakan rumus korelasi Product Moment dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas dengan uji Chi Kuadrat dan untuk menghitung peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah  matematika setelah pembelajaran dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan pembelajaran langsung, maka digunakan uji gain ternormalisasi (g). Siswa yang mendapat model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD memperoleh rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sebesar 0,63 dan siswa yang mendapat model pembelajaran langsung dengan rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sebesar 0,36. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa ada peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran koopertiftipe STAD lebih tinggi dari pada siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran langsung.This study aims to determine the increase in the problem-solving ability of students who get cooperative learning type STAD is higher than the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who receive direct learning.This research is a quasi experiment research. The population in this study were all State MTs students in Labuhanbatu district who were accredited A andB. The sample of this research is MTs Negeri 1 Labuhanbatu and MTs Negeri 2 totaling 117 students.The validity of the questionnaire instrument was carried out by analyzing items using the Product Moment correlation formula and reliability testing using the Cronbach Alpha formula. The data analysis technique used the normality test with the Chi Squared test and to calculate the increase in mathematical problem solving skills after learning with STAD cooperative learning and direct learning, the normalized gain test (g) was used. Students who received the STAD cooperative learning model obtained an average increase in mathematical problem solving abilities of 0.63 and students who received a direct learning model with an average increase in mathematical problem solving abilities of 0.36. Based on the results of the research data analysis, it was found that there was an increase in the problem solving ability of students who took STAD type coopertive learning higher than students who took direct learning.

This study aims to study the interaction of Intellectual Auditory and Repetition (AIR) learning on mathematical problem solving abilities and self-efficiency of students in Class X of SMA Negeri 1 NA IX-X Aek Batu City. The population of this study was all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 NA IX-X Aek Batu City in the 2018/2019 academic year while the sample was class X-IPA 2 which was studied by 40 students. Data collection techniques using essay tests (pretest and posttest) were used for problem solving and the questionnaire was used for self efficacy. Data were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. From these results, obtained tcount&gt; ttable: 18.78&gt; 1.83 and the significant value is smaller than the significant level value that is 0.002 &lt;0.05. Therefore it is the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model for students' mathematical problem solving abilities. For self efficacy, 80% results were obtained, thus positive student self efficacy towards the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model. Can solve the problem of mathematical compatibility and significant student self-efficacy towards the Auditory Intellectualual learning model and the Repetition model.

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the ability to solve problems and think creatively in mathematics students who are taught with the problem based learning model with the two-stay-two stray cooperative learning model in class X SMA Negeri 2 Range of TP 2018 / 2019. This research is research quantitative research with quasi-experimental type. This sampling technique uses the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The sample of this study was students of class X-1 and X-2 of SMA Negeri 2 Kisaran T.P 2018/2019, amounting to 60 students. The test instrument used to determine students' creative problem solving abilities and mathematical creative thinking is to use a test in the form of a description. Data analysis was performed by analysis of variance (ANAVA). These findings show: 1). There is a difference in the ability to solve mathematical problem of students who are taught with the Problem Based Learning model and the Two Stay-Two Stray cooperative learning model in the material of the Three Variable Linear Equation System; 2). There is no difference between students' creative thinking abilities in mathematics taught by the Problem Based Learning model and the Two Stay-Two Stray cooperative learning model in the Three Variable Linear Equation System material; 3). There is a difference in the ability of problem solving and mathematical creative thinking of students who are taught with the Problem Based Learning model and the Two Stay-Two Stray cooperative learning model in the material of the Three Variable Linear Equation System; 4). There is no significant interaction between the learning models used on the problem solving abilities and students' mathematical creative thinking in the Three Variable Linear Equation System material. The conclusions in this study explain that there are differences in students' problem solving abilities and creative mathematical thinking that are taught with the Problem Based Learning Model and the Two Stay-Two Stray Cooperative Learning Model.

Abstrak. Pemecahan masalah merupakan kemampuan dasar yang seharusnya dimiliki ole siswa. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis berperan dalam menyelesaikan setiap permasalahan baik pelajaran lain maupun permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Melalui kegiatan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa diarahkan dalam membangun pengetahuan matematika, berpikir logis, sistematis dan terukur. Faktanya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa masih rendah. Proses pembelajaran yang menitikberatkan pada latihan yang memberikan kesempatan pada siswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis menjadi model perbaikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran missouri mathematic project merupakan model pembelajaran yang tepat memfasilitasi siswa dalam mengembangkan pemikirannya dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pemecahan masalah matematis. Untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran missouri mathematic project. Jenis penelitian merupkan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian siswa kelas V MIS Al Firdausy Pematang Reba. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis terjadi peningkatan pada setiap siklus dimulai dari tes awal pra tindakan, siklus I dan siklus II. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran missouri mathematic project. Abstract. Problem solving is a basic skill that should be possessed by students. Mathematical problem solving abilities play a role in solving every problem both other subjects and problems in everyday life. Through mathematical problem solving activities students are directed to build mathematical knowledge, think logically, systematically and measurably. The fact is that students' mathematical problem solving abilities are still low. The learning process that focuses on exercises that provide opportunities for students to develop mathematical problem solving skills to become a model for improvement in the learning process. The Missouri Mathematical Project learning model is an appropriate learning model to facilitate students in developing their thinking in solving mathematical problem solving problems. For this reason, this study aims to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities through the application of the Missouri mathematical learning model. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK). The research subjects were grade V students of MIS Al Firdausy Pematang Reba. The data collection technique used was a mathematical problem-solving ability test. The data analysis technique used is quantitative data analysis. Based on the results of the test of mathematical problem solving abilities, there was an increase in each cycle starting from the initial pre-action test, cycle I and cycle II. It can be concluded that there is an increase in students' mathematical problem solving abilities through the application of the Missouri mathematical learning model.
