Aim. To study the effectiveness and benefits of blood pressure (BP) remote monitoring in outpatients with hypertension.Material and methods. The study included 100 patients with a verified diagnosis of hypertension, who didn’t achieve target BP pressure levels. The patients measured their BP twice a day over 6 months with facilities with automatic data transmission over GSM-channel to a remote monitoring center. BP parameters were being transmitted online to the remote monitoring center, where they were being processed and transferred to the personal account planner (created by the Web interface based on the software and hardware complex) of the attending physician and operator of the remote monitoring center. It is important that doctor received information only on clinically significant measurement results, based on which he determined the urgency of contact with the patient and the further tactics of his management.Results. No malfunctions in the work of communication facilities, technical failures in the software and hardware complex were registered over the entire period of the study. After 6 months of the monitoring it was possible to achieve target BP levels less than 135/85 mm Hg in 70% of patients. The proportion of patients with a high level of normal BP increased from 10% to 19%, while the proportion of patients with grade 1 and 2 of hypertension decreased significantly (from 33% to 7% and from 54% to 3%, respectively). At the beginning of telemedicine monitoring 3% of patients had stage 3 of hypertension, at the end of the study – 1%.Conclusion. The technology of telemedicine monitoring has shown itself as a simple, affordable and reliable way of management of outpatients with hypertension in conditions of real clinical practice. It was possible to achieve BP levels less than 135/85 mm Hg in 70% of patients by the method of remote outpatient monitoring. BP remote monitoring changed fundamentally the decision-making strategy of the patients management: it was not the patient who independently determined the need for consultation with a medical professional, but the attending physician made a decision on the method and urgency of contact with the patient on the basis of the data of objective monitoring indicators.

To improve the efficiency of the remote monitoring system for logistics transportation, we proposed a remote monitoring system based on wireless sensor network and GPRS communication. The system can collect information from the wireless sensor network and transmit the information to the ZigBee interpreter. The monitoring system mainly includes the following parts: Car terminal, GPRS transmission network and monitoring center. Car terminal mainly consists by the Zigbee microcontroller and peripherals, wireless sensor nodes, RFID reader, GPRS wireless communication module composed of a micro-wireless monitoring network. The information collected by the sensor communicates through the GPRS and the monitoring center on the network coordinator, sends the collected information to the monitoring center, and the monitoring center realizes the information of the logistics vehicle in real time. The system has high applicability, meets the design requirements in the real-time acquisition and information transmission of the information of the logistics transport vehicles and goods, and realizes the function of remote monitoring.

Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: Public Institution(s). Main funding source(s): National Health Fund Background. A novel comprehensive care program after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) „KOS-zawał" was implemented in Poland. It includes acute intervention, complex revascularization, implantation of cardiovascular electronic devices (in case of indications), rehabilitation or hybrid telerehabilitation (HTR) and scheduled outpatient follow-up. HTR is a unique component of this program. The purpose of the pilot study was to evaluate a feasibility, safety and patients’ acceptance of HTR as component of a novel care program after AMI and to assess mortality in a one-year follow-up. Methods The study included 55 patients (LVEF 55.6 ± 6.8%; aged 57.5 ± 10.5 years). Patients underwent a 5-week HTR based on Nordic walking, consisting of an initial stage (1 week) conducted within an outpatient center and a basic stage (4-week) home-based telerehabilitation five times weekly. HTR was telemonitored with a device adjusted to register electrocardiogram (ECG) recording and to transmit data via mobile phone network to the monitoring center. The moments of automatic ECG registration were pre-set and coordinated with exercise training. The influence on physical capacity was assessed by comparing changes in functional capacity (METs) from the beginning and the end of HTR. Patients filled in a questionnaire in order to assess their acceptance of HTR at the end of telerehabilitation. Results HTR resulted in a significant improvement in functional capacity and workload duration in exercise test (Table). Safety: there were neither deaths nor adverse events during HTR. Patients accepted HTR, including the need for interactive everyday collaboration with the monitoring center. Prognosis all patients survived in a one-year follow-up. Conclusions Hybrid telerehabilitation is a feasible, safe form of rehabilitation, well accepted by patients. There were no deaths in a one-year follow-up. Virtual reality in one form or another has been around for over 50 years, most notably in entertainment and business environments. Technology-focused teachers have been leading the way with attempts at utilising and integrating virtual reality into K-12 and Higher Education. However, as quickly as technology changes so does the enthusiasm for the use in educational contexts. Much of this is due to the high-level cost (time and money) with no evidence-based educational return. In 2020 the global pandemic forced the education sector to innovate to provide authentic learning environments for students. The time is right for virtual reality to take centre stage. Over 171 million people worldwide currently use virtual reality, and the market in education is expected to grow by 42% over the next five years. This paper focuses on a range of virtual reality literature encompassing work across the spectrum of software and hardware, identifying where more educational implementation and research needs to be done and providing a perspective on future possibilities focusing on current affordances.

Problem statement: Currently, there is a need in the space industry to actively improve the characteristics of battery batteries, the use of new types of batteries for power supply systems of spacecraft leads to a constant demand to improve the control and verification equipment (CPA). Depending on the improvement of storage batteries (AB) for spacecraft, the requirements for electrical inspections and control and verificationequipment were gradually changed. With the advent of lithium-ion batteries for spacecraft, there was a need to develop and manufacture a charge-discharge hardware and software complex (ZRPAK). The charge-discharge hardware-software complex designed to work as a charger-bit complex to work with AB spacecraft for all ground operation phases, to verify compliance of the electrical characteristics of the AB to the specified requirements, conduct incoming inspection and Autonomous tests of AB on the manufacturer of the spacecraft. The advantages and disadvantages of the previously developed and currently used control and verification equipment are analyzed. The electrical characteristics of the KPA of all generations of development are summarized in the table. Based on the analysis of the development of batteries, trends in the development of control and verification equipment and the fact that all spacecraft of new developments will use only lithium-ion batteries, the requirements for a promising fifth-generation ZRPAK are formulated. The following requirements are applied to the fifth-generation charge-discharge software and hardware complex: increase the charge-discharge voltage to 150 V; increase the charge -discharge current to 150 A; introduce devices for pre-charge-pre-discharge of the battery into the KPA; increase the accuracy of measuring the voltage of each battery; provide remote operation from the control PC; writing cyclograms; logging and subsequent viewing of all test data

Introduction. Etanercept, tumor necrosis factor (TNF?) antagonist, lowers the disease activity level in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), reduces joint destruction saving physical functions and improving life quality. Objective. The aim of this study was to establish efficacy and safety of etanercept in combination with disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) in the treatment of RA. Methods. To patients with active RA, who were on therapy with DMARD, etanercept was introduced in weekly doses of 50 mg, with continuation of DMARD. Efficacy of this form of treatment was evaluated in the 12th week. Maintenance of the effect of treatment was also evaluated during 24, 48 and 96 weeks. Long term evaluation of etanercept safety was assessed by registering all unwanted events during a two year period. Results. After 12 weeks of treatment with etanercept, 80% of patients had ACR20 response, while 85% showed clinically significant decrease of DAS28 index. We achieved remission in five patients (12.5%) and low activity of RA in 17 patients (42.5%). During a 96week of followup period, achieved therapy effects were maintained. In four patients (10%) etanercept therapy was interrupted after 24 weeks because of inadequate response. In one of them (2.5%) we recorded a cardiovascular incident. Acute infections were registered in 47 cases. Four of those were severe infections. Neither cases of malignancy development were noted, nor were there any lethal disease outcomes. Conclusion. Etanercept in combination with DMARD shows a high level of efficacy in the treatment of RA. The safety profile of the drug is satisfactory.
