This study aims to compare five question packages used in the 2011 National Examination, specifically for Maths for Social Studies subject between public senior high school (SMA) and Islamic senior high school (MA) in Jakarta. It employed simple random sampling as its data collection technique. The independent variables used were the category of high schools and the Five Question Packages used in the National Examination. The schools were divided into two:  regular senior high school (SMA) and Islamic senior high school or Madrasah Aliyah (MA). The packages chosen to be analyzed were package number: 12, 25, 39, 46 and 54. The data was analyzed by two-factor ANOVA for its 11 Differential Item Function (DIF) and 29 non Differential Item Function (non-DIF) items. The items used for this study are the items that fit the three-parameter logistic model. This study found that no difference between the scores on both the DIF and non-DIF items in either for SMA or Ma is found.   Keywords: national examination in math, five packages, DIF, SMA, MA.

This study investigates EFL students’ composition of digital multimodal text. There were forty-four students recruited from tenth grade of a private senior high school in Sidoarjo. All of them were divided into seven groups and given authority to choose their own topic for the digital multimodal project; advertisement video. Based on the theory of multimodal analysis, this study examines both students’ processes and products. Qualitative case study was chosen as the design of the study and document analysis was chosen as the data collection technique. Through qualitative case study, the finding of this research shows that all the students’ groups used multimodal modes in creating their advertisement videos.  Additionally, this study revealed that the qualities of the students’ project depend on two important things: the ability of the group members and the collaboration of the members in doing the project. The purpose of this study is to empirically prove the differences in understanding. The formulation of the problem is to empirically prove whether there are differences in the understanding of students from high school with a science major and high school majoring in social studies on the basic concepts of accounting. The basic concept of accounting in this study uses the variables of assets, liabilities, and capital. This research was conducted at a private university in West Java. The data is primary data, and the data collection technique is using a questionnaire. The population and sample in this study were 52 students majoring in accounting for the 2019-2020 class based on certain criteria. The data analysis technique of this research is descriptive statistical analysis, using validity, reliability and Kruskal Wallis difference test with IBM SPSS Statistics version 23 to measure the level of understanding of students from high school majoring in science and high school majoring in social studies on the basic concepts of accounting. The results of this study stated that only the variable Capital (Equity) had a significant difference in understanding between students from high school majoring in science and high school majoring in social studies. Where the other two variables, namely Assets and Liabilities, show that there is no significant difference in understanding between students from Senior High School from the Science Department and Senior High School from the Social Sciences Department.

The aim of this study is to investigate the students’ perception of computer-based testing in national examination and determine the extent to which cheating in exams would be eliminated by the adoption of CBT in National examination. Relevant to the purpose of the study, the researchers decide to use a qualitative case study since it was taken place in a natural setting and the data was collecting using questionnaire. This study conducted in one of senior high school in Jakarta Timur. Then, the participants in this study were 30 students of twelfth-grade students. The results of this study are almost 30 students give their perception that the CBT is the effective one for the students in the final examination and the CBT produces a good final examination the elimination of cheating cases in the national examination consumes time in each question.

The purpose of this research was to know how characteristic items of Try Out National Exam Year 2010/2011 at Senior High School on Mathematics Subject in Mataram City that analyzed by using Iteman Program. The characteristic in question was whether the item can be used or not based on the difficulty level of the item, the difference in power, and the functioning of the answer option. The research method used was descriptive. Techniques of collecting data in the form of documents. Source of data in the form of answer sheet of computer package 61 of Try Out National Exam Year 2010/2011 at Senior High School on Mathematics Subject in Mataram City. Aspects analyzed by using this Iteman Program include the level of difficulty item, different power, and the function of whether or not the answer choice. Based on the results of Item of Analysis Try Out National Examination of School Year 2010/2011 Senior High School on Mathematics Subjects in Mataram City by using Iteman Program, it can be concluded that for the level of difficulty Package 61 was classified. Different power for package 61 has a good category. For the reliability of having a high category and a matter of Try Out Package 61 there are 23 problems received with the improvement of 4, 5, 8, 9, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31, 32, 34, 35, 36, and 40. Improvements need to be made on the less functioning effluent. There are 15 accepted questions: 1, 2, 3, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 27, 29, 33, 37, 38, and 39. And there are 2 rejected questions 6 and 25.

This study was motivated by the low score of the students‘ Indonesian language in national examination that were certainly correlated with the Indonesian language teachers‘ competences. The Indonesian language techers‘ competences can be observed in doing the Indonesian language proficiency test. This study was aimed to determine the Indonesian language teachers‘ capabilities indoing UKBI and to describe about it. The data obtained describe that the Indonesian language teachers of Senior High School (SMA) have the highest scores, then the Indonesian language teachers of Junior High School (SMP), and the last ones were the teachers of elementary school (SD). Moreover, among the Indonesian language techers‘ capabilities of SMA, SMP, and SD in doing UKBI have not shown the significant differences.AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya nilai Ujian Nasional (UN) bahasa Indonesia siswa yang tentunya berkorelasi dengan kompetensi guru bahasa Indonesianya. Kompetensi guru bahasa Indonesia dapat terlihat dari Uji Kemahiran Berbahasa Indonesia (UKBI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru bahasa dan sastra Indonesia di Pekanbaru dalam menyelesaikan soal UKBI dan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru dalam menyelesaikan soal UKBI. Dari penganalisisan data diperoleh temuan bahwa nilai rerata UKBI guru SMA memperoleh skor paling tinggi, nilai rerata UKBI guru SMP memperoleh skor sedang, sedangkan nilai rerata UKBI guru SD memperoleh skor paling rendah. Akan tetapi, kemampuan guru bahasa dan sastra Indonesia dari ketiga tingkatan sekolah tersebut (SMA, SMP, SD) dalam menyelesaikan soal UKBI tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang berarti (tidak signifikan) pada taraf kepercayaan 5 %, hal ini terlihat dari nilai Fhitung lebih kecil dari Ftabel (Fhitung = 0,11 < Ftabel = 4,35)
