The research sets to examine the influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL), critical thinking ability, and collaboration toward learning outcome of Christian Junior High School (SMPK) Stelamaris Biudukfoho. Quasi experiment using non-equivalent control group design is employed in this research. The first and the second experiment group are selected based on assignment random sampling. There are 60 subjects at the eighth grade of Junior High School in the academic year of 2018/2019. The researchers apply test to measure critical thinking ability and learning outcome, whereas questionnaire is employed to measure collaboration of the students. The data analysis is three-way analysis of variance. The results reveal that there is significant differentiation of learning outcome between a group using PBL and a group using conventional method, between the students with high and low critical thinking ability, between the students with high and low collaboration. In addition, there is significant interaction of learning model, critical thinking ability, and collaboration toward students’ learning outcome. It means that students’ learning outcome depends on the learning model, critical thinking ability, and collaboration of the students

Education is a significant factor to shape human beings as a whole. The ability to think for humans plays an important role to develop information. The issue of lack of ability to think critically in Sahida Lemah Abang Vocational High School needed to be addressed. One learning model that can be utilized to guide students to think critically is Problem Based Learning (PBL) using an e-module as the resource of learning material. The study aims to examine the implementation of Problem Based Learning model using e-module and its influence on students' critical thinking ability.  This study used a quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design as its research design. In using the research design, two observations have been conducted; one was before the experiment called Pre-Test (O1) and one after the experiment of this study called the post-test (O2). There are two samples in this study; one is the experimental group and the other is the control group. The study was done in Sahida Lemah Abang Vocational High School. The data was gathered by using tests and observation sheets of the learning process. The result in this study shows averagely that the implementation in each of the learning stages has gained 95.7% which is in the category of very good value. The most significant difference is from the fifth indicator "developing strategy and tactic", n gain of experimental class and control class is 5.83 and 0.23 respectively. As the result of the hypothesis test is Sig. 0.035 which means that there is a significant difference in students' ability to think critically between the students in the experimental class and the control class, the students in the experimental class think more critically than the students in the control class.

Implementation of Curriculum 2013 requires students to learn actively, independently, and critical thinking. Critical thinking is an activity through thinking about ideas related to concepts or problems. The efforts to improve critical thinking skills of learners can be done by using the appropriate learning model. One of the learning models that can be used to improve the ability of critical thinking is a problem-based learning model. This type of research is quasi experiment with randomized control-group pretest posttest design. The sample of this research choosed by used purposive sampling method. Class VIII6 as experimental class and class VIII4 as control class. Data of this research result are quantitative data of critical thinking ability. Data were analyzed by using t test. The results showed that the mean difference of posttest value with pretest value of critical thinking ability of experimental class learners is higher than control class. Hypothesis testing with t-test obtained tcalculate=2,94>ttable= 1,67, then H1 accepted. Based on these results the authors conclude that the implementation of problem-based learning model has a positive effect on the ability to think critically learners on the material additives and addictive substances.

[Title: The Effect of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving Learning Model Toward Student Physics Science Learning Outcomes]. This research aims to know the effectiveness of the learning problem based learning model assisted work sheet for the critical thinking ability of physics students of grade X SMAN 1 Lingsar inacademics year 2016/2017. This was an experiments research that using design research Posttest-Only Control group Design. The population in this research were the whole grade X SMA Negeri 1 Lingsar in academics year 2016/2017. Sampling taken with using cluster random sampling technique with the students of class X. MIA. A as experiments class and grade X. MIA. D as controls class. Research hypothesis was analysis with the t-test for one party (the party right). Based on the hypothesis test results obtained tcount> ttable at significance level of 5%, then it can be inferred that the model of learning problem based learning assisted work sheet effective for critical thinking ability of physics students SMAN 1 Lingsar.

Abstract-This research is motivated by the problems found in the early observation in class VIII-1 / Ibnu Thufail Islamic intergrated of Junior High School Fitrah Insani II related to the critical thinking ability of learners. Lack of courage of learners in answering and asking is a low critical thinking indicator in Social studies learning. Alternative problem solving chosen is the application of cooperative learning model TPS (Think-Pair-Share) type. The problem formulation in this research is "whether by applying the TPS learning model can improve the critical thinking ability of learners?". The research method used is Classroom Action Research with research design is model Kemmis and Mc Taggart covering several stages there are, planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, documentation, and field notes. The critical thinking indicator developed in the study refers to the ability to provide simple explanations, build basic skills, make inferences, make further explanations, and organize strategies and techniques. The results concluded that first, the research planning is well designed by the teacher through the development of the model in accordance with the instrument made. Second, the implementation of the action is done in three cycles by distributing worksheets and video to learners for pair discussions. Third, learners experience improvement of critical thinking ability in every cycle. Fourth, the constraints that occur are time allocation, learners' understanding of learning steps, and classroom management. These constraints are resolved by improvements in each cycle. This research shows that cooperative learning model of TPS type can improve the critical thinking ability of students in social studies learning. Keywords: Critical Thinking, Cooperative Learning, TPS (Think-Pair-Share), Social Studies Learning

Since Indonesian students’ critical thinking skills in junior high school is still in unexpected level, it should be improved through teaching and learning process. The objective of the study is finding out the influence of problem centered learning approach toward students’ mathematical critical thinking ability. Every student should have mathematical critical thinking skills to make mathematics lessons are easier. Using the critical thinking skills will help students improving problem solving skills. However, the current critical thinking ability of junior high school students is still low. This research used quasi experimental design with Static Group Comparation type. The research sample consisted of two classes with each class of 35 students. The research instrument consists of six questions which indicate a mathematical critical thinking ability. Data analysis of this study used the Mann-Whitney test. The results of the study indicate that there is an effect of the problem-centered learning approach on the students' mathematical critical thinking ability with testing criteria is high.
