While there has been a great deal of research on the application and implementation of Information Technology (IT), there is less research on the variables which can contribute to the successful diffusion and implementation of IT within an organization. This paper looks at the relationship between the cultural/work values of the people involved and IT adoption. Three cultures and the correlation of their cultural/work orientations and the adoption of IT via the Technology Adoption Model (TAM). Findings suggest a correlation between some of the variables in the two models used.

The growing number of online travel agent in Indonesia, pushed tiket.com to compete in increasing its application brand performance and consumer’s perception. This research uses a quantitative method to test the hypothesis regarding Technology Acceptance Model and Brand Trust with E-WOM as a moderating variable. The population of this research is Indonesian consumer that had ever want or made a purchase in tiket.com. The sampling technique used in this research is non-probability sampling method with 110 as its number of respondents. This research used Hierarchical Regression Analysis as its data analysis technique. Based on the test that was done, the results showed that technology acceptance model had a positive and significant effect towards consumer’s intention to buy and brand trust had a positive and significant effect towards consumer’s intention to buy. The result also showed that e-WOM as a moderating variable has a positive but insignificant effect in the relationship between brand trust and consumer’s intention to buy, which means e-WOM as a moderating variable has a strengthening effect although the effect is insignificant in the relationship between brand trust and consumer’s intention to buy in tiket.com.

This paper presents an empirical study aiming on investigating ODL students’ perception and adoption of SCORM Compliant Learning Object (SCLO). With the increasing use of SCLO in recent years, a better understanding and implementation of effective instructional resources is necessary to meet the diverse needs of ODL students and enhance their learning performance. The eventual usage of relevant stakeholders determines the success of a system. The system is useless if it is not used in the expected way by the potential users even though it is a good system. Therefore, the aim of this research is to examine if ODL students will eventually use SCLO for their learning. The study used TAM as a basis to investigate the relationship of external and internal variables. A survey instrument eliciting responses on a series of Likert-type questions was given to selected ODL undergraduate students. The results of this study confirm that users’ perception has significant effect on the acceptance and adoption of SCLO. The study provides a better understanding of students’ behavior on SCLO and the acceptance model.

As Web 2.0 based systems and applications get adopted by organizations, it is imperative that they bring along both benefits and challenges. As users and beneficiaries of the new means of communication, all of us need to be sensitive to the different factors that could and do affect the success of major Web 2.0 applications and initiatives. This study tries to explore the determinants of success in converting a traditional business organization into an Enterprise 2.0 through defining the “external variables” in the Technology Acceptance Model of Davis (1989). This was done using a survey questionnaire in a wide variety of Indian business organizations. It attempts to verify the relationship of success in the Web 2.0 world with the awareness of IT tools and data analysis capabilities present in the organization, the approach taken by the organization and the departments that take the lead in the implementation of Web 2.0 initiatives. The paper concludes with suggestions and implications for organizations.

BACKGROUND Many theories/ models adopted from behavioral sciences literature or developed within the field of information technologies could help in understanding the technology acceptance, usage, and effective adoption. OBJECTIVE The main aim of this paper is to review the different theories/ models that can help in understanding information technology/system acceptance and use, and to choose the most appropriate theoretical framework that could be applied to understand the factors influencing physicians’ use of the Electronic Health Record system (EHR) at King Fahd Military Medical Complex (KFMMC) in Dhahran city, Saudi Arabia. METHODS The theories/ models were reviewed using scientific databases. The inclusion criteria were if the theories/ models used to explain individual behaviors toward accepting and using of information technology including the once conducted within the healthcare. RESULTS The review showed that there were five theories/ models were used within information technology studies to understand the technology acceptance and used. There were Theory of Reasoned Action, Theory of Planned Behaviour, Innovation Diffusion Theory, Unified theory of acceptance and use of technology, and Technology Acceptance Model. Each has different explanatory power of technology use. The most appropriate theoretical framework to understand the reason behind physician use of the EHR at KFMMC would be the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). TAM model could explain up to 75% of the variation in the behavioral intention (acceptance), and up to 62% of the variation in the actual use. It is the gold standard for assessing the usage of health technologies and systems. In fact, the TAM model is one of the core models used to explore the physician’s perceptions of the Electronic Health Record system adoption. CONCLUSIONS This review showed that there are different theories available in the literature can be used to justify the reason behind electronic health record acceptance. TAM is one of the effective, simplest models used to understand the factors influencing physicians to use the EHR-system. Further studies need to apply the TAM model to check its ability in explaining the reason behind EHR within different hospitals in Saudi Arabia

ABSTRACT Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) is a direct cash assistance provided to underprivileged students with Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) as a marker / identity to ensure and ensure that children get the assistance of the Smart Indonesia Program. In order to monitor the distribution of KIP and to ensure that KIP has been accepted and can be utilized by the students, the Ministry of Education and Culture shall validate and update KIP recipient data through the Dapodik Application. Dapodik is an online and real time, based application that can be accessed and operated directly by all school operators in data entry, data processing, updating of PIP data, education personnel, students, periodic, sanitation, study groups and data of infrastructure school. This study aimed to evaluate the level of acceptance of basic education data applications (dapodik) using the method of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This study used 3 modified variables are Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) and Perceived Usefulness (PU) as independent variable while Acceptance of IT as dependent variable. This study used simple random sampling as a sampling technique, with the number of respondents as many as 66 people operators. For data analysis techniques, this study used multiple regression techniques with descriptive quantitative research types, as well as data processing tools using SPSS 16.00 for windows software. The results showed that the benefit factor (Perceived Ease of Use) of 43.5%, factor amenity (Perceived Usefulness) of 36.8%. This proves that the more dominant benefit factor influences receipt of Dapodik application usage as PIP data updating application. Key Words: Aplication of Dapodik, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Usefulness, Acceptance of IT, Technology Accaptance Mod
