The sharing economy platforms in the accommodation, such as Airbnb, gain more public attention. Several hoteliers in Indonesia have complained about the unequal playing of the field due to the alleged tax violations. Some studies on the impact of Airbnb have been discussed in various countries, but this subject has not been widely conducted in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the impact of Airbnb on the conventional hotel industry in Bali and how the conventional hotel’s  response to compete with Airbnb. This research was conducted using qualitative research. Data was collected through interviews and secondary data collection. Interviews were conducted with representatives of hoteliers, Airbnb owners, and hospitality associations in Bali. Using forecasting analysis, this study finds that the presence of Airbnb in Bali has an impact on the occupancy rate of conventional hotels in Bali. However, there doesn't a significant impact from Airbnb regarding the hospitality revenue. Meanwhile, conventional hoteliers generally do not make particular efforts to compete with Airbnb. This research implies for the managerial side of hotels and public programs and policies, especially for the Government of Bali in the future to pay attention to consumer protection to provide equal action between conventional hotel and Airbnb owners.

The sharing economy is growing in the hotel industry very fast. The study is important for the hotel’s management - strategy formulation. The aim of this research is to evaluate the sharing economy effect on hotels in Lithuania. Correlation and regression analysis methods were used for achieving the aim. The study analyses if the sharing economy has caused any impact on accommodating tourists at hotels, hotels income from accommodation services, and room occupancy rate. Results reveal a positive relationship between the sharing economy and all investigated indicators of hotel activities, thus indicating that the hotel business is growing together with the sharing economy. The hotels' sector in Lithuania has continued to grow while more and more hosts and consumers joined the sharing economy. Results imply that the sharing economy is not a competitor for the Lithuanian hotels business as the sharing economy targets different tourist segment, moreover the market is capacious for both segments. Sharing economy in the accommodation sector – a niche with its own customer group. The research results are important for making correct decisions in the Lithuanian tourism industry as other researches in other countries show a negative impact on the sharing economy on the hotels' sector. The rapid growth of the sharing economy in Lithuania may oblige hotels to focus on the sharing economy and consider further actions.

eamwork is becoming increasingly important to wide range of operations. It applies to all levels of the company. It is just as important for top executives as it is to middle management, supervisors and shop floor workers. Poor teamwork at any level or between levels can seriously damage organizational effectiveness. The focus of this paper was therefore to examine whether leadership practices consist of team leader behavior, conflict resolution style and openness in communication significantly influenced the team member’s satisfaction in hotel industry. Result indicates that team leader behavior and the conflict resolution style significantly influenced team member satisfaction. It was surprising that openness in communication did not affect significantly to the team members’ satisfaction.

Subject. The article addresses economic relations that are formed in various areas of economic application of digital platforms. The target of the research is the modern economy of digital platforms across different economic activities. Objectives. The aim is to systematize principles for share economy formation in the context of the digital society development. Methods. We employ general scientific methods of research. Results. The study shows that the development of digital platforms is one of the most important trends in the development of the modern economy. We classified certain characteristic features of modern digital platforms, analyzed principles for their creation. The paper emphasizes that the network effects achieved through the use of digital platforms are an important factor in the development of the share economy. The network effect describes the impact of the number of the platform users on the value created for each of them. The paper also considers differences in the organization of traditional economy companies and companies that are based on the digital platform model, reveals specifics of changes in socio-economic systems caused by the development of digital platforms, systematizes principles of the sharing economy formation in the context of the digital society development. Conclusions. The analyzed principles for sharing economy development on the basis of digital platforms can be applied to create models for the purpose of forecasting the transformation of economic activity in the post-industrial society.

The paper has a two fold purpose - examine the impact of bar service operation practices (BSOP) on organizational performance (OP) and study the relationship between organizational performance and demographic variables. Based on a survey of 362 bar managers perceptions on the impact of bar service operation practices on organizational performance were assessed by 59 practices and 6 demographic variables. Bivariate test and ANOVA were employed to test the working hypothesis in the study. Results indicated that there is a positive relationship between the bar service operation practices and organizational performance. Further, the results indicate some practical and managerial implications to improve organizational overall performance.
