The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the the role of Independent Commissioners in moderating the effect of profitability, company size, and company risk on tax avoidance in manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2016-2018 with a total of 77 companies. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique with a total observation are of 231 firm-years. With multiple regression analysis, this research showed that the Company’s Profitability and Risk had a significant positive effect on Tax Avoidance, while Company Size did not have a significant effect on Tax Avoidance. The Independent Commissioners succeeded in weakening the positive influence of profitability and company risk on tax avoidance.This research succeeds in proving that as a component of the corporate governance mechanism, the Independent Commissioner has a role in supervising managerial decisions, including tax decision.

This study aims to analyze the effect of business strategy, leverage, profitability and sales growth on tax avoidance. Sample companies involved in tax avoidance were obtained from surveys of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data covers a period of four years from 2014 to 2017. The sample used is secondary data originating from the IDX.com website with the sampling technique that is the purposive sampling method. Data analysis used is a multiple linear regression model. Based on the results of the analysis that has been done, it can be concluded as follows (1) Business strategy has a positive influence on tax avoidance (2) leverage has a positive influence on tax avoidance (3) profitability has no effect on tax avoidance (4) sales growth has an influence positive for tax avoidance

Abstrak: Peneitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji bagaimana peran ukuran perusahaan dan kepemilikan institusional mempengaruhi tax avoidance yang dimoderasi oleh variabel profitabilitas. Populasi sebagai objek riset ini menggunakan seluruh perusahaan yang listing di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Sampel yang digunakan sebagai objek penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode nonprobability sampling teknik purposive sampling yaitu perusahaan-perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang infrastructure, utilities, and transportation yang listing di BEI pada periode waktu 2014—2018. Kriteria yang ditetapkan peneliti adalah perusahaan yang tidak memenuhi kriteria yang telah ditetapkan, tidak digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap tax avoidance sementara kepemilikan institusional tidak berpengaruh terhadap tax avoidance. Profitabilitas terbukti dapat memperkuat pengaruh ukuran perusahaan dan kepemilikan institusional terhadap tax avoidance. Implikasi dari hasil riset ini dapat memberikan masukan dan pengetahuan bagi Perusahaan dalam mengambil keputusan dan menyelesaikan tindakan tax avoidance yang akan dan sudah dilakukan perusahaan dan bagi manajemen perusahaan dapat memikirkan strategi yang sesuai untuk mengalokasikan biaya di dalam perusahaan untuk meminimalkan tax avoidance. Abstract: This research has the aim of seeing how the role of Company Size and Institutional Ownership affects Tax Avoidance which is moderated by the Profitability variable. The population as the object of this research uses all companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). The sample used as the research object was obtained using non-probability sampling method, purposive sampling technique, namely companies engaged in the infrastructure, utilities, and transportation sectors listed on the IDX in the 2014-2018 time period. The criteria set by the researcher are companies that do not meet the predetermined criteria, not used in this study. The results of this study indicate that company size has an effect on tax avoidance while institutional ownership has no effect on tax avoidance. Profitability is proven to strengthen the influence of company size and institutional ownership on tax avoidance. The implication of the results of this research can provide input and knowledge for the company in making decisions and resolving tax avoidance actions that the company will and have taken and for company management to think about appropriate strategies to allocate costs within the company to minimize tax avoidance.

The study aims to examine the influence of corporate governance mechanism, company size and financial performance towards environmental disclosures in manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange and Bursa Malaysia period 2016.The variables examined in this study are managerial ownership, size of the board of commissioners, company size, and liquidity. The research used purposive sampling method, obtained from 59 Indonesia manufacture companies and 63 Malaysia manufactures companies. The examination used multiple regression analysis and independent sample t test. The result of the research:1) The managerial ownership had negative influence towards environmental disclosures in Indonesia, but it had positive influence in Malaysia, 2) The size of the board of commissioners had positive influence towards environmental disclosures in Indonesia, but it did not have influence in Malaysia, 3) The size of the company did not have influence towards environmental disclosures in Indonesia, but it had positive influence in Malaysia,4) The liquidity had negative influence towards environmental disclosures in Indonesia, but it had positive influence in Malaysia, and5) There was difference in the level of environmental disclosures in Indonesia and in Malaysia.

The aim of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of the independent variables, namely return on assets (ROA), debt to assets ratio (DAR), company size, and capital intensity on the dependent variable in the form of tax avoidance. The population in this study was manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016 - 2019. By using purposive sampling technique, data analytical technique used is descriptive statistic, classic assumption test and hypothesis testing in the form of SmartPLS analysis. The test results show that the variables return on assets (ROA), debt to assets ratio (DAR), company size, and capital intensity affect the tax avoidance. Capital intensity can mediate the relation for variable return on assets (ROA), debt to assets ratio (DAR), company size to tax avoidance.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Capital Structure and Firm Size on Firm Value with Profitability as Intervening Variables. (Case Study on Manufacturing Companies in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2018 Period). This research uses quantitative descriptive research type. Sample 27 companies using Purposive sampling technique. The analysis method uses path analysis with SPSS software version 21.Based on the test result min this study that the variable capital structure and company size have a positive and significant effect on profitability. Capital structure has no effect on firm value, firm size and profitability affect company value, and profitability is able to mediate the effect of capital structure and firm size on firm value. Research purposes were determined the effect of company size, management ownership, profitability, and leverage on risk management disclosures in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. The research type is a quantitative descriptive. The research population is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. Determination of the sample used purposive sampling technique. The data collection method used the documentation method. The data analysis technique used statistical analysis, namely multiple linear test, F test, and t test. The results how that 1) company size has a positive and significant effect on the risk management disclosure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018; 2) managerial ownership has no significant effect on the risk management disclosure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2016-2018; 3) profitability has no significant effect on the risk management disclosure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018; 4) Laverage has a significant effect on the risk management disclosure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2016-2018; and 5) Company size, managerial ownership, profitability, and leverage simultaneously have a significant effect on the risk management disclosure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. This study aims to analyze the effect of executive characteristics and family ownership as a stimulus factor for tax avoidance and to see the existence of a political relationship as a moderating variable in the effect of executive characteristics and family ownership on tax avoidance. This research was conducted on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2017-2019. In this study, the sample was determined based on the purposive sampling technique with the criteria that the sample company was manufacture listed on the IDX for three consecutive years from 2017-2019, published an annual report in the 2017-2019 period sequentially, did not experience delisting, was not a company the IPO in 2018-2019, did not experience any losses and did not have an ETR value of more than 1. The research sample was obtained from as many as 138 companies with 3 years of observation. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis (Multiple Regression Analysis) and Moderate Regression Analysis (MRA) using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program. The results showed (I) executive characteristics had a significant positive effect on tax avoidance (II) family ownership had a significant negative effect on tax avoidance (III) political connections were not able to strengthen the executive's positive influence on tax avoidance (IV) political connections weakened family ownership on tax avoidance. This study can also show that the sample companies tend to comply with tax rules, they avoid sanctions and fines, and consider the risk of loss that must be faced by the company when proven to do tax avoidance.

<p><em>This study aims to measure and analyze corporate social responsibility and profitability of the value of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Samples which are companies engaged in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the 2015-2017 period. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling method and obtained 55 companies. The data collected is secondary data with the documentation method through www.idx.com. Testing is done using multiple regression analysis. The analytical tool used to measure hypotheses is SPSS 24. The results of this study are (1) CSR that is positive for the value of the company. (2) Positive profitability towards the value of the company. (3) Profitability moderates the positive influence of CSR on firm value.</em></p>

The variables examined in this study are company size, profitability, political connections and disclosure of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The purpose of this study is to obtain empirical results regarding the effect of company size, profitability, political connections and disclosure of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on tax avoidance. This research was conducted on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The number of samples taken as many as 38 manufacturing companies with nonprobability sampling method, especially purposive sampling. The research period is 2014-2017. Data collection is done by non-participant observation techniques. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that company size, political connections and disclosure of corporate social responsibility have no effect on tax avoidance while profitability has a negative effect on tax avoidance. The amount of profit obtained by the company is very influential on the company's actions to practice tax avoidance. This study aims to determine the effect of profitability, capital intensity, and inventory intensity on tax avoidance. This research was conducted at manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2017 with a population of 150 companies. Determination of the sample in this research is by non probabilaty sampling method and by purposive sampling technique, so that the research sample is 63 companies. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis which shows that all independent variables in this study, namely profitability, capital intensity, and inventory intensity have a positive effect on tax avoidance.
